October 2nd, Wednesday.
Angry Pidove had been out for three days, and its popularity showed no signs of waning.
A casual ga that didn't require heavy spending—truly a良心 company.
With three top-quality gas under its belt, Pokémon Studio had quickly beco one of the most talked-about new studios.
Kazuya was once again in awe of Natsu-sensei's vision.
Earning hundreds of thousands every day, and acting like it was nothing!
Angry Pidove had signed a revenue-sharing agreent with Devon Corporation.
Although mobile revenue far exceeded the PC version, financial freedom was still a distant dream.
Still, Natsu-sensei did the math.
"Paying off Cynthia's debt shouldn't be a problem!" Natsu nodded proudly.
As for the promotional side of things…
Even though the live streams were incredibly popular, Natsu-sensei sohow managed to turn Angry Pidove into a food show.
"How can you miss with a Pidgeotto like that?"
"Is the strear out of their mind?!"
"New fans, huh? The strear is clearly a little Eevee!"
On Twitter, plenty of organic promotion was happening, including from Unova's Flying-type Master.
The Mistralton City Gym Leader, Skyla.
Holder of the Jet Badge, and a part-ti cargo pilot.
This slightly ditzy girl had skipped work for three days straight, staying ho to play Angry Pidove.
If it weren't for the fact that she owned the entire cargo airport in Mistralton City, Skyla would've been fired by now.
On ORAS, Angry Pidove continued to receive overwhelmingly positive reviews.
[Weekly Ga Review: The gaplay maintains a relaxed, level-based style, with Pokémon Studio's signature Pokédex collection elents. Five stars.]
[Robot King: I've calculated the ga's physics engine trajectory. DM if you need hacks.]
[Skyla of the Celestial Tower: Aaaah! Swanna is so cute! AWSL!]
Although Steven hadn't shown up to dominate the leaderboards, which left Natsu-sensei a bit disappointed, the enthusiastic reception of Angry Pidove solidified his resolve to continue his entrepreneurial journey.
"The gaming direction… can take a backseat for now," Natsu mused, stroking his chin.
"Since the collection elents are so popular… maybe we can dip into the toy industry too!"
If there's one entertainnt industry that's incredibly profitable, it's the combination of tokusatsu shows and toy sales.
The future giant Bandai is a pri example.
Of course, this was just a preliminary idea.
Once the company was established, expanding into other domains wouldn't be an issue.
Afternoon.
Natsu, enjoying a rare mont of leisure, sprawled on the couch for a nap.
Sylveon sat curled up on his lap, shifting into a comfortable position and lazily letting out a yawn.
Haunter was out for work.
anwhile, Squirtle led Growlithe into the yard for so Dig training.
"Squirtle… ヾ(??■_■)"
Squirtle watched Growlithe furiously digging into the ground, recalling the days when Sylveon, its big sister, had trained it.
Back then, even Sylveon had been guided by Haunter to start training on her own…
Now, it's finally my turn to carry on Natsu's will!
Squirtle's eyes sharpened as it silently adjusted its sunglasses.
Crack!
A clear hole appeared in the ground.
Growlithe lifted its head, wagging its tail proudly.
Squirtle smirked coldly. "Squirtle!"
If this is all you've got, you're far from eting Natsu's expectations!
Taking a deep breath, Squirtle placed one hand firmly on the ground.
"Growlithe?" Growlithe watched Squirtle's movents curiously.
"Squirtle!" Squirtle inhaled deeply, its arm flexing as the ground beneath it cracked open.
Rumble!!
The entire house shook slightly.
A massive crater, nearly five ters in diater, ford in the yard.
"Growlithe!" Growlithe's eyes sparkled with excitent.
Squirtle, however, frowned slightly in dissatisfaction.
Natsu stood on the balcony, his expression complicated as he watched the scene.
You call this Dig?!
This is basically a one-hit KO move!
So all those one-ard push-ups you've been doing lately were just to train for this?!
Glancing at the ceiling, which was now shedding bits of plaster, Natsu twitched his lips and tried to comfort himself.
"Well… at least it's better than training indoors…"
...
October 3rd, Thursday.
Using the contact information Gold had provided, Natsu reached out to Silver, who was currently in Johto.
Though Silver was known for being aloof, he was surprisingly friendly to friends, especially those introduced by Gold.
"I understand," Silver said. "I'll et you at the Pokémon Center in Goldenrod City."
According to Lance, Silver was currently under investigation by the International Police, so this trip was a risk for him.
This left Natsu-sensei feeling genuinely touched.
It had to be said, the Johto duo of Gold and Silver made Crystal feel a bit like a third wheel…
Opening his live stream, Natsu posted a pinned ssage and started packing his luggage.
"Taking a three-day break. Will be back with new strategies. Love you all, Natsu-sensei."
Though fans were used to Natsu-sensei's habit of going AWOL, many were still outraged.
"Natsu-sensei, you're dead to !"
"Shouldn't all pigeons just die?"
"Let's be real, Tranquill is pretty cute. Natsu-sensei, not so much."
October 3rd, Thursday.
Natsu boarded a plane to Johto.
The Johto Region was connected to the Kanto Region by the sprawling base of Mt. Silver.
The fact that one person had conquered the peaks of both leagues was a testant to Red's strength.
The plane landed at Goldenrod City Airport.
Waiting to greet him were Whitney, with her pink braids, and Crystal, wearing a white round hat.
Upon seeing the familiar Goldenrod City Gym Leader, Natsu blurted out, "Miltank!"
"Huh?" Whitney, not understanding the reference, blinked in confusion. "Natsu-sensei… is that a greeting from the Touran Region?"
"Ahem, never mind," Natsu coughed, thinking to himself.
Childhood trauma runs deep—I just said it without thinking!
"Where's Gold… why isn't he here?"
"He was planning to skip work to greet you, but he got caught by the Pokémon Day Care Granny," Crystal chuckled, extending her hand.
"Natsu-sensei, it's our first eting. Please take care of !"
"Pleasure," Natsu shook her hand, his eyes lighting up. "By the way, haven't you joined the group yet?"
"Wait, what?" Crystal's expression turned to one of surprise.
...
[Group Owner 'Natsu-sensei' has invited 'Crystal' to join the Chat Group!]
Whitney, having Gym duties to attend to, excused herself shortly after the greeting.
It was almost noon, and Silver wouldn't be arriving for a while.
The two decided to head to the Pokémon Day Care in the suburbs to check on Gold, who was being forced to work overti.
Goldenrod City, known for its bustling urban life, had surprisingly lush greenery in its outskirts.
The white fences of the Pokémon Day Care were faintly visible in the distance.
Natsu took a deep breath of the fresh air and smiled. "This place is perfect for retirent!"
Crystal nodded, about to speak, when she glanced up at the treetops.
The trees rustled softly.
At the sa ti, the long-dormant system finally issued a warning.
[Host, be advised: a suspicious target is approaching within 100 ters.]
As if realizing sothing, Crystal sighed and facepald. "That Gold… he wouldn't be planning to…"
Natsu looked up into the trees.
An Ambipom, holding a pool cue with its tail, grinned at Natsu.
Using the cue as a pole vault, Ambipom leaped behind Natsu and disappeared into the foliage.
But the rustling in the trees didn't stop.
Natsu-sensei's mood turned slightly complicated.
A no-holds-barred battle right off the bat…
Is this how the Johto Trio says hello?!
