"Probably not the Tree of Beginning's guardians. These are the ones Steven released back into the ruins."
Natsu shrugged. "This 'king' is pushing way beyond his limits trying to control them."
"No wonder they feel weak," Cynthia nodded. "Makes sense!"
The King of Pokélantis's eye twitched violently, veins bulging as he strained to command all three Regis simultaneously.
Their casual insults were the final straw.
"Oh, right."
Natsu tilted his head at the seething 'Brandon.' "Steven once commanded them nonstop for 33 days. You'll collapse before 33 minutes, won't you?"

The disrespect.
The black miasma around Brandon flared violently, fueling the Three Regis with desperate energy as their crystals burned scarlet again.
"I'll make you PAY for this!!"
"Ash, quit standing there!"
Natsu jerked a thumb backward. "Boss is low and entering phase two! Get over here!"
"Huh? O-okay! What do I do?"
"Uh… maybe body-block the ultimate attack?"
"Got it!"
"I WAS JOKING—DON'T ACTUALLY YOLO CHARGE!!"
Natsu yanked Ash back by the collar as the Three Regis lood closer, radiating nace.
"My main concern," Cynthia frowned, "is Brandon himself getting caught in the crossfire."
"According to Mr. Brandon's earlier words," Brock said grimly, "we must reseal the King's hatred into that Imprison Stone Orb."
"Which orb?"
"The one… he's currently stomping on."
So not only did they have to win—they had to loot mid-combat?
Natsu massaged his temples.
The difficulty just spiked.
"What if we just… kill Brandon?" Natsu mused.
"I—is that really okay?!" Cynthia stamred.
King of Pokélantis: (Sweating bullets)
Who's the villain here?! You people are monsters!
At that mont, Brandon's true consciousness briefly resurfaced, shouting:
"Stone orb—use the chant to reseal it! The incantation's on the Plate—!"

Six Pokémon plus a smirking Rotom Dex glared at the King of Pokélantis.
Ash blinked—then grinned. "Sceptile! Charizard! Snorlax! Everyone—let's go!!"
"Ah…"
Cynthia's lips curled as she unleashed her entire Champion-tier team in a blaze of light.
Between Natsu's swarm, Cynthia's elite squad, Brock's backup, and Ash's sheer audacity—
The King of Pokélantis's face went slack.

Staring at Natsu's shaless grin, the ancient king's eye twitched.
