The classic OP from the original series—"Aim to Be a Pokémon Master."
Natsu-sensei had morized it so thoroughly he could hum every note and lyric.
In less than an hour, he'd transcribed the entire score and recorded a demo using the electronic keyboard.
No doubt, once this song officially released, it would resonate deeply with trainers everywhere!
After all, who hadn't set out on their journey dreaming of becoming a Pokémon Master?
Even the iconic "Ash from Pallet Town" had that famous tagline: "Aim to Be a Pokémon Master!"
Though Natsu's primary goal was making money...
He still held genuine love for Pokémon in his own way.
"Let Ash and Red handle the whole 'Pokémon Master' thing..."
Natsu rolled up his sleeves in the kitchen, smirking.
"Anyone who can beat in battle can't out-cook . And anyone who can out-cook ... doesn't exist!"
Lunch featured golden crab roe tofu, crispy shrimp tempura, and steaming white rice.
Natsu ladled the tofu over rice, then dipped a tempura shrimp into clear vinegar sauce—
Crunch!
The crispy coating gave way to firm, sweet shrimp at with a tangy aftertaste.
Natsu & Gengar: ( ̄~ ̄) munch munch
Natsu & Gengar: (╯▽╰) So good~~
The little ones had customized als.
Considering their preferences beyond standard Pokéblocks, Natsu had prepared berry-infused "Poffin" bread.
While they could eat human food, Pokéblocks ensured balanced nutrition.
Each Pokémon received a small plate of golden tofu swimming in glossy sauce.
Arcanine: "Arcanine! (*⊙~⊙)" [gulps it down in one lick]
Blastoise: "Blastoise... ヾ(■_■)" [scanning for toxins with aura]
Sylveon: "Sylveon~" [picky eater mode activated, trotting to hamster wheel]
Natsu: "You're not dieting, are you?"
"Syl-Sylveon!" [whirls around, bow trembling indignantly]
Avoiding Sylveon's glare, Natsu noticed Sirfetch'd's leek and had an idea:
"Should we have leek dip for dinner? Sounds delicious!"
"Sirfetch'd! ╥﹏╥..." [clutches two precious leeks—one poisoned, one crit-boosting]
Natsu chuckled: "Not your leeks. I ant chopped scallions for duck!"
Sirfetch'd relaxed... then froze in horror.
Wait—wasn't that worse!?Σ( ° △ °|||)︴
Miscalculation, ducky!
Afternoon.
The nervous Sirfetch'd slipped away to Professor Rowan's backyard to train.
"Gengar! (┌|*´∀`|┘)"
Freshly motivated by the song, Gengar was bursting with fighting spirit.
Seeing Sirfetch'd's hurried pace, Gengar gasped in shock: "Gengar! Σ(っ°Д°;)っ"
Sirfetch'd was taking training even more seriously than him!
A pang of guilt struck Gengar before he nodded solemnly: "Gengar!"
As expected... everyone was working hard for Trainer's dream!
anwhile, Natsu stayed ho watching horror movies with Togepi.
Chin propped on his hand, Natsu sat cross-legged on the sofa staring at the LCD screen where a pale Jynx was crawling out—
"Togepi doo-ee~! (ヾ(≧▽≦*)o)"
Togepi giggled uncontrollably, tiny feet kicking happily.
"This isn't scary at all..."
Natsu looked conflicted.
A real horror movie should star Alola's Bewear!
Imagine The Shining's iconic scene—Bewear standing outside the door with an axe—
Natsu shuddered violently.
"Togepi!" Togepi offered potato chips with a stubby hand.
"Keep watching." Natsu stood up.
"I'll check if Rotom's done roasting the chestnuts."
Natsu had discovered that Heat Rotom made the perfect "roasted chestnut machine."
No manual stirring needed—just set the temperature and tir.
Though Rotom initially scread "System Overload!"—
"Delicious, Rotom! (′▽`〃)"
Natsu noisily peeled piping-hot chestnuts from the bag:
"Let's visit Professor Rowan's backyard later."
"You're training too, Rotom!?" Rotom looked stunned.
"Erm, I confird sothing with Sabrina..."
...
Flashback (One Day Earlier)
Natsu explained his "Dual Screens Strategy" concept to Psychic-type Master Sabrina.
While showing appreciation, Sabrina offered so suggestions of her own.
"One more thing."
Sabrina said calmly, "There's a move that would suit your Sylveon perfectly."
"What move?"
"Psyshock."
Sabrina tucked a strand of straight black hair behind her ear.
"Though it's a Psychic-type special move, it deals physical damage to opponents."
"Additionally, I've heard that wtwo can refine 'Psyshock' into its signature move 'Psystrike.'"
Sabrina added aningfully, "wtwo seems exceptionally skilled in both physical and special attacks."
Natsu paused montarily, thinking about his own mixed-attack Sylveon, then coughed lightly:
"To be honest, I've invested so much in training my Pokémon recently that I can't even afford Dawn Stones anymore..."
A rare look of surprise crossed Sabrina's usually icy expression.
Even soone of Natsu's ans was complaining about money?
Just how much had this guy spent on training?
With a slightly serious expression, Sabrina lowered her voice, "If you're short on funds, I could lend you—"
Natsu: ???
First Moe-Moe!, then Steven, and now Sabrina wants to lend money too!?
"That won't be necessary..."
Natsu rembered he still had unpaid salary coming from Team Rocket.
It was ti to collect his pay from Matori!
...
Natsu obtained the key points for perfecting his "Dual Screens Strategy" from Sabrina.
As a veteran user of both Light Screen and Reflect, Sabrina's proficiency far exceeded Natsu-sensei's.
Of course, the required resource items were equally more expensive.
Natsu considered that if push ca to shove, he could always borrow so private funds from Moe-Moe!...
Just then, a call notification from [Cabbage Ice Cream] lit up the screen.
Answering the call, a voice as calm and elegant as a spring breeze rippling across a lake ca through:
"The bonus for the recent Regigigas incident... should be delivered to your ho today."
"bonus?" Natsu blinked in surprise.
"That's right."
Cynthia smiled gently.
"It's a Lunar Feather from the dream goddess Cresselia."
Natsu stared blankly for a long mont.
"A... Lunar Feather?!"
Cynthia chuckled at the excitent in Natsu's voice:
"Considering this combines rewards for both the poacher capture and Regigigas incidents, receiving legendary-grade resources isn't unexpected."
"But... the bonus..."
"The monetary compensation has been incorporated into the Lunar Feather's value."
Cynthia smiled gently. "I believe this will benefit you and your Pokémon more than simple cash."
Natsu's breath hitched.
My entire fat bonus... gone?
Traded for a feather?
What's a Lunar Feather even good for? Absolutely nothing!
But... Natsu sighed deeply.
My Cynthia is just too adorable. I'll let this one slide!
"Now listen," Natsu said sternly. "Don't do this again!"
Cynthia tucked a strand of shimring golden hair behind her ear, her lips curling slightly.
"It's just a Lunar Feather... If you'd prefer, I could arrange for other legendary resources—"
"That's really not necessary..."
Cynthia understood Natsu was concerned about the bureaucratic effort required to secure these items from the League.
Yet compared to everything Natsu had done for her—shutting down poaching rings, calming Regigigas...
These small favors ant nothing.
"It's fine," Cynthia said with tender warmth. "Your happiness is what matters."
Natsu's expression remained conflicted. After a long pause, he nodded firmly:
"I... love it!"
Even after ending the call, Natsu remained frozen in mourning over his vanished bonus.
"Beep! Suspicious activity at entrance, Rotom!"
The alarm snapped Natsu back to reality.
"Blastoise... ヾ(■_■)"
Water cascaded off Blastoise's shell as it erged from the fish tank like a battleship surfacing, cannons trained on the doorway.
The sheer military presence was overwhelming!
Natsu's eye twitched as he checked the surveillance feed.
A man with fiery red spikes for hair stood at the door, briefcase in one hand while knocking loudly with the other.
"Hello? Anyone ho?"
Flint grinned confidently up at the cara.
"Natsu-sensei! It's , Fire-type Elite Four Flint! Here to see you!"
