The story begins during the ti when Natsu-sensei was still in the middle of his exams.
Haunter was at ho, clutching a copy of the [Toxic Manuscript] with both hands.
Its crimson tongue extended, ticulously licking every line of text from top to bottom.
"Haunter~(*⊙~⊙)"
Haunter nodded thoughtfully, about to share so tips with Eevee, only to realize that Eevee was inside its Poké Ball.
Haunter floated over to the Poké Ball, scratched its head, and then deflated like a sheet of paper, slowly drifting down to the ground.
Suddenly, Haunter's eyes lit up, and with a poof, its body inflated again. Excitedly, it floated toward the door.
"Haunter!" (Take care of the house!)
Haunter shouted to Eevee inside the Poké Ball.
Eevee, clearly annoyed, scratched at the inner walls of the Poké Ball with its paws.
Sneaking off to train without ? Unbelievable!
Eevee: ヽ(`Д′)?
Compared to Natsu, Haunter was far more familiar with the local training facilities.
The construction site near the neighborhood was like a low-level dungeon, sothing Eevee could easily handle without getting hurt.
But when it ca to finding a truly powerful opponent, Haunter imdiately thought of that elite-level Poison-type Trainer.
Just the thought of that nacing Arbok made Haunter shiver.

That Arbok is terrifying!
Eagerly, Haunter made its way to the [Bull Training Club].
It casually phased through the glass door, leaving the receptionist utterly bewildered.
"Uh... hello... Are you here for a battle or training?"
"Haunter!" Haunter pointed at the [2888 Pokémon Coins Training Package] on the counter.
Last ti my Trainer brought here, we got this one.

Haunter, despite having no money, flashed a confident smile.

The receptionist pulled out a tablet, swiping through it as she smiled.
"Here are the Trainers available for booking. Once you've made your choice, you can settle the paynt online later."

Haunter nodded, rubbing its chin as if seriously considering its options.
Nanami, wearing tight pants and carrying a water bottle, walked past and glanced at the reception desk. Her expression imdiately changed.
That laugh... sounds way too familiar!
It's that Gastly from last ti, the one that nearly sent Arbok to the hospital!
And it's evolved now?!
Nanami nervously scanned the area.
After confirming that the handso guy wasn't around, she let out a sigh of relief.
"Good thing it's not here for training... and hopefully it won't pick again."
"Coach Nanami! Perfect timing, there's a trainee here who specifically requested you."
"Huh?"
"Haunter!" Haunter grinned, scratching its head sheepishly.

Haunter followed Nanami to the training ground.

"With your strength, you're more than qualified to work here as a part-ti coach."
Nanami raised an eyebrow. "Besides free training, you can also earn so extra cash... Interested?"

Haunter burst out laughing, patting Nanami on the shoulder.
Why didn't you say so earlier? We could've been colleagues from the start!
Nanami's expression turned odd.

Haunter struck a ready-to-fight pose, swinging its fists with enthusiasm.
Nanami, looking conflicted, called over the receptionist and had her add a new coach to the system on the tablet.
"Is this really okay?" the receptionist asked, surprised.
"Why not? It's just one more mbership card."
Haunter calculated the ti. Natsu's exam should be over in about an hour.
That ant it had one hour to work its part-ti job.
The thought of contributing to the household once again made Haunter's eyes sparkle.
"Haunter（?`▽′?)?"

Nanami stood at the edge of the training ground, watching Haunter's first coaching session.
Honestly, even as an Elite Trainer, Nanami couldn't quite gauge Haunter's true strength.
Judging by its breeding, it probably consud supplents that Nanami couldn't even dream of.
And when it ca to training techniques, Nanami's Toxic was clearly no match for Haunter's.
This made Nanami frown.
What kind of background does that guy from last ti have?
How did he manage to raise Haunter to this level in just a month?
Though, that guy was really good-looking...
Maybe... I should try being more proactive next ti?
"Tch." Nanami blushed and shook her head. When she looked up again, Haunter's first tutorial match had already ended.
It was a complete tutorial match.
The client's Nidorina didn't even last two moves against Haunter.
But the more one-sided it was, the more it proved the coach's battle prowess.
"Did you hear? The club has a new coach, and it's a Pokémon!"
"Really? Is it that Mr. Mi from last ti?"

Haunter floated over to the vending machine, stuck its hand in without inserting any coins, and pulled out a soda to guzzle down.

"Haunter!" Haunter happily accepted the card.
It waved at Nanami, who was leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, before cheerfully floating away.
Nanami was montarily stunned, instinctively raising her hand to wave back. Then, embarrassed, she tugged at her bangs, her face slightly red.
"It's... kind of cute..."

Natsu raised an eyebrow.
He glanced at the ID photo on the card, which showed Haunter grinning mischievously.
Natsu asked, "You really didn't spend any money?"
"Haunter!"
"Then how did you manage it?" Natsu's voice carried a hint of surprise.
Haunter chuckled, puffing out its chest proudly.
"Only you could pull this off."
Natsu sighed, "But if you ever need money, just let know. I can afford the training fees."
Natsu didn't want to discourage Haunter's initiative.
Even if these two little ones were practically tearing the house apart, Natsu couldn't bring himself to scold them.
The relationship between a Trainer and their Pokémon is one of equality.
Natsu respected Haunter's wishes, and Haunter did its best to contribute to the household.
"Haunter(′▽`〃)"
Haunter scratched its head, grinning sheepishly.
"Alright, you've worked hard." Natsu smiled, patting Haunter on the head.
"Let's eat. I made your favorite."
"Haunter! (?ω?)"
