Now reading: Chapter 37 - 36: Use of Combined Moves from Pokémon: When the World Changed, a Action novel by GoldenDragonKing.

"Was that Sand Attack?"

"And that power?! It's way too strong!"

"That attack could already be compared to the Flying-type move Hurricane, and with all that sand involved, it can only be even more powerful!"

"What a terrifying attack! Since when can Sand Attack be used like that?"

Imdiately, upon seeing the power of combining Rollout with Sand Attack, the spectators were astonished.

Since the Pokémon civilization had only been integrated into society for three years, most were still at a very superficial stage regarding the developnt of moves. They had never seen such an application for such a common move, so they couldn't help but be amazed.

"The way Sand Attack is being used here... it reminds of Sandstorm," comnted a spectator. "By combining it with the montum of Rollout, it might even surpass the original move."

"A combined move of Rollout and Sand Attack?"

"That Sandshrew even masters the use of two moves at the sa ti! This challenger is anything but ordinary..."

anwhile, the leaders of the Pokémon Island Adventure Club were also watching the battle, all with very serious expressions.

This challenger was already very close to their level, and perhaps would be the first to successfully win in several months.

"Priape, use Rage!" suddenly shouted the leader amid the general uproar.

Priape let out an enraged roar. His fury, accumulated after taking multiple attacks, burst out with explosive force. With a punch charged with energy, he ripped through the air and shattered the sand wave rushing toward him.

Slash!

Just as Priape opened a path through the sandstorm, Sandshrew had already taken advantage of the dust's cover to roll in close. His body, scraping against the ground, released a sharp, harsh screech.

BOOM!

Priape barely had ti to breathe before the rolling attack hit him head-on. He felt sharp pain surge through his body, sending him flying. After reaching a critical point in the air, he crashed heavily to the ground.

"Priape, recover yourself, here it cos again!"

Hearing his trainer's cry, Priape's eyes imdiately refocused.

At that mont, the powerful physical constitution of this Fighting-type Pokémon beca evident: Priape managed to regain balance in the air, and with a twist, landed on his feet, ready for the next strike.

Just then, the rolling Sandshrew attacked again. But at the last second, Priape's hands were enveloped in Fighting-type energy, and with a sweeping motion, he grabbed Sandshrew mid-roll!

"Well done! Now use Seismic Toss!" shouted the leader with delight, seeing his chance.

"ROAAAR!"

Priape roared as a white light enveloped his body. Then, leaning backward and using the montum from Rollout, he began spinning rapidly while holding Sandshrew.

"Throw it with all your strength!"

The leader clenched his fists with determination. If he managed to hurl Sandshrew using the spin's montum, victory would be his!

"No! Sandshrew, use Sand Attack! Cover him completely!"

Seismic Toss was a move that used gravity to hurl the opponent with great force. Ethan Black hadn't expected Priape to exploit that logic to perfectly neutralize Rollout's montum.

And if that was combined with the speed gained from Rollout... the destructive power of that Seismic Toss would be terrifying!
