In a sleek conference room at the Indigo Plateau, there was lot of tension in the air as the Elite Four, Champion Pryce, majority of the major and minor Gym Leaders, and high-ranking League officials gathered around a long table.
Gwen sat beside Karen, both apprentices of Agatha, who leaned on her cane with a scowl that could make anyone flinch. She had pestered to join the eting until Agatha had to relent.
No one dared question their presence—Agatha's reputation ensured that. Gwen's, her fingers tapping her phone.
A League official, a stern man nad Harlow with a clipboard, stood to address the room. "The agenda is how to handle the issue with Gym Leader Gladion."
Lance, the Dragon-type master, spoke first, "It's clear soone's targeting the kid. Gladion saved Moonwood Town from those Gyarados—bravery like that deserves praise, not protests. Soone's using this to curb his influence."
His voice was firm, his aura radiating conviction. 'Lance gets it,' Gwen thought, her grin softening. 'Glady's got allies.'
Giovanni, sitting across the table, nodded with a calculated smile. "I agree with Lance. Gladion's a prodigy with Indigo's best interests at heart. This sar campaign is a strategy to weaken us." His voice was smooth,
A minor Gym Leader, a wiry man nad Victor from a small coastal town, scoffed. "But who gave Gladion the right to kill those Gyarados? He could've knocked them out, not burned them to ashes! He had the firepower to do so. He could have even killed just one and let the others run off scared." His voice dripped with indignation.
Gwen rolled her eyes. 'Oh, please. Try facing eighteen Gyarados and see how gentle you are.'
Koga, the ninja Gym Leader, leaned forward, his voice low and sharp. "As a Gym Leader, Gladion has the right to kill Pokémon to protect his people. Nine out of ten trainers do it in the wild—including us. There's no justification for a trial here."
Harlow, the League official, adjusted his glasses, his voice cold. "This isn't the first ti Gladion's killed. Before he was Gym Leader, he took out Team Rocket mbers and their Pokémon. We can't ignore that. Action must be taken. He killed humans as a teen! We don't know the state of his mind."
Two more officials—Clara, a woman with a pinched face, and Marcus, a burly man with a permanent frown—nodded. "He's a liability. The League might face repercussions if we don't take action against him." Clara said.
"Too reckless," Marcus added, his voice gruff. Another minor Gym Leader, a woman nad Elise, chid in. "He's dangerous. The protests prove the public's losing trust in the league"
'These clowns are piling on Glady like he's the bad guy. Disgusting." Gwen tried to keep her raging emotions in check.
Champion Pryce grumbled, "Where's that damn brat anyway? Too big for a League eting?"
Agatha smirked, "He refused to co. Said, and I quote, 'You old folks can have your eting. I'll handle this myself.'"
Her voice dripped with amusent, drawing chuckles from Gwen and Karen.
Pryce snorted, "Cocky kid. He's digging his own grave."
Harlow stood again, his clipboard raised. "I propose we revoke Gym Leader Gladion's status as a major Gym Leader due to these events. A trial should be held to address his actions." He paused, his eyes scanning the room.
"Let's vote—" Before he could finish, Gwen leaned over, whispering to Agatha with a sly grin.
"Watch this." Agatha's eyes glinted, her Gengar bursting from her shadow, snatching the TV remote with a cackle.
The screen flickered on, blaring a news channel. "Breaking News: Gym Leader Gladion gives an official statent. LIVE"
Gladion's face filled the screen. "The citizens of Kanto and Moonwood Town are more important to than so angry Gyarados who can't keep their tempers in check."
The room went silent, all eyes glued to the screen. "To those saying I killed those Pokémon unjustly, answer this: why do you eat Magikarp soup, Magikarp chips, and other dishes? Isn't Magikarp the pre-evolution of Gyarados?"
Gladion leaned closer to the cara, his smirk cutting. "You kill Pokémon for your taste buds; I killed them to save Moonwood. What's the difference?"
His voice grew sharper. "And yes, I've killed Team Rocket mbers and their Pokémon. But how many young trainers have Rocket killed at the start of their journeys? How many Pokémon have they stolen or slaughtered? This Gyarados attack? Their fault, poaching Magikarp. And it's not like I was actively hunting them down, they tried to take my Pokemon and thus I retaliated."
So of the League officials shifted uncomfortably, their auras flickering with unease. 'He's not holding back,' Gwen thought, her grin widening.
Gladion's tone turned icy. "These accusations aren't from Kanto's people or even Indigo's. The people of Indigo are wise enough to see that what I am doing is for the benefit of the region."
"These accusations they're from enemies of the region, corrupt powers at the top. They target because they fear . They fear I'm too big a threat to leave alone."
He paused as he smirked, "To prove it, I'm releasing nas of League officials and minor Gym Leaders who've sullied Kanto's na, with evidence to back it up."
A list flashed on the screen: Harlow, Clara, Marcus, Victor, Elise. The room froze, their faces whitening, so jumped in panic.
Everyone realised that the nas on the screen were the ones that spoke against Gladion in the eting.
Agatha glanced at Gwen, her eyes twinkling. 'Cheeky little girl.'
