At this mont, a twisted thrill washed over him.
His own madness completely carried him away. He naively thought he could still control the beast.
"Black Kyurem! Kill him!"
"ROOOAAAR!!!"
Black Kyurem let out a deranged, ear-splitting roar.
But it didn't attack Sam as Ghetsis commanded.
Instead, the wings storing the icy air trembled slightly.
Without warning, a boundless, terrifying Blizzard was generated, spiraling outward in all directions.
"What?!"
Ghetsis was shocked as the temperature around him plumted.
"Archeops, run!!"
But a wave of absolute zero is not sothing a re Archeops can outrun.
Even though the ancient bird desperately flapped its wings to dive away, it couldn't escape the expanding domain of the cold.
In an instant, both Archeops and Ghetsis were frozen completely solid.
They turned into a plumting ice sculpture and fell from the sky, crashing into the ruins below.
Life or death unknown.
No more squawking. No more annoying Ghetsis.
Black Kyurem's blood-red eyes remained fixed on ga Rayquaza. The beast didn't care about the life or death of its forr master.
"Graaah..."
Reshiram let out a low, urgent cry. It signaled Cynthia, Diantha, and the others watching from a distance to retreat even further.
The Dragon of Truth instinctively sensed that the restraints had been entirely lifted. Black Kyurem was completely insane.
The power radiating from it was so terrifying that even another Legendary like Reshiram felt the instinct to pull back.
Cynthia and the others imdiately began leading the remaining personnel away from the epicenter.
"Sam..."
Before retreating, Cynthia couldn't help but look back at the sky.
Worry was written plainly across her beautiful eyes, but she knew she couldn't intervene in a battle of this scale. She had to trust him.
Seeing that Cynthia and the others were safely moving away under Reshiram's protection, Sam focused entirely on the roaring Black Kyurem.
At this mont, Black Kyurem's overall montum had overwheld ga Rayquaza.
The ice armor that had just been shattered was rapidly repairing itself.
Extre, sub-zero air continuously overflowed from its body, freezing the very moisture in the atmosphere.
The reason it could generate such overwhelming power was simple, yet tragic.
It was burning its own life force.
In the Pokémon world, if an ordinary wild Pokémon is defeated, it simply faints.
As long as it is given ti to rest or receives dical treatnt from a Trainer, it will recover. This is the natural law of protection in this world.
And as a top-level Legendary, Kyurem was essentially an immortal existence.
But right now, the berserk Black Kyurem was bypassing those natural limits. It was literally burning its own life energy as fuel.
Once that energy burned out... it was very likely to truly die.
"Rayquaza," Sam called out, the fighting spirit in his eyes boiling over.
"This is the strongest enemy we've ever faced!"
"ROOOAAAR!!!"
Rayquaza responded with a high-pitched, majestic dragon chant that shook the heavens. It was ready.
Sam didn't keep Rayquaza waiting. He issued the attack order:
"Rayquaza, let's go! Dragon Ascent!"
"SHREEEEEE!!!"
Rayquaza's golden ribbons fluttered wildly. The 100-ter black body was covered with an endless, turbulent aura.
Carrying the unstoppable force of a falling teor and an aura of absolute dominance, it rushed straight at Black Kyurem.
"ROOOAAAR!!!"
The berserk Black Kyurem issued a roar that resounded throughout the world.
The engine on its tail glowed with a blinding, terrifying light. It instantly released the cold air it had accumulated, condensing the ultimate icy energy into a gigantic, tangible spear of ice!
BOOM!!!
ga Rayquaza slamd into Black Kyurem solidly. The sheer force of the impact ripped through the air.
The Frost Armor on Black Kyurem's body completely shattered into glittering dust!
However, attacking a God that was burning its life force ca at a heavy cost.
ga Rayquaza recoiled, clearly in pain. Its divine body, usually as bright as a black gem, was now covered with a thick layer of freezing mist.
The fine ice mist contained Black Kyurem's erratic energy, constantly invading Rayquaza's scales and slowing its movents.
"ROOOAAAR!!!"
Black Kyurem violently shook its head. In its berserk condition, it didn't know what pain was.
Its huge tail engine spun even faster, turning the free energy between heaven and earth into its own fuel.
It ignored its injuries, burning its life force to unleash its strongest attack in a single move!
Seeing the blinding light gathering in Black Kyurem's tail, Sam's face grew heavy.
The insane beast was condensing Freeze Shock!
"Rayquaza! Use Extre Speed!" Sam yelled.
"Interrupt its charge!"
"ROAR!!"
ga Rayquaza knew it couldn't afford to delay.
Its golden ribbons flared, and it rushed toward Black Kyurem at the speed of light, attempting to break the opponent's skill before it could fire.
But the berserk Black Kyurem was pushing past the limits of physics.
By burning its life, it accumulated energy unnaturally fast.
Before Rayquaza could connect, Black Kyurem unleashed the endless, absolute cold.
It poured out over ga Rayquaza and Sam.
It felt as though space itself was being frozen by the extre chill. The entire area around the Unova Alliance building turned into a blinding expanse of white.
In an instant, the ground solidified into unbreakable permafrost.
No snowflakes were falling, but the temperature plumted past absolute zero, shattering the very laws of nature.
Caught in the center of the blast, Sam and ga Rayquaza were entirely swallowed by the endless cold air.
They were instantly frozen into a massive, 100-ter-long ice sculpture.
With a deafening thud, the frozen Lord of the Sky fell heavily onto the snow-covered ground.
