Looking at Ampharos, Silas shook his head helplessly.
Sitting on a chair by the bed, basking in the afternoon sun, he stretched leisurely—a rare mont of relaxation.
Since the tournant in February began, Silas hadn't had a chance to unwind like this. Constantly thinking about how to win every match was exhausting.
"Ampharos doing okay?"
The door behind Silas was pushed open, and a familiar voice spoke—Silas turned to see Silas's friend, Yezo. Alongside him were several other friends.
"It's fine. Giving it a bit of a hard ti isn't so bad," Silas replied with a smile. "Aren't you here to watch the matches?"
"We're here to comfort a fellow loser like ourselves," Yezo said boldly, striding toward another chair.
"Whoa!"
Silas kicked out his leg, and Yezo failed to sit properly, landing hard on the floor.
"Tch~ I won't hold it against you."
Yezo clicked his tongue, got up, brushed the dust off, and finally plopped safely into the chair.
"All good. You said Ampharos got a bit hurt and that the afternoon match might be tough. I couldn't just stay ho, so I dragged the others along to check on you." Haruhira chuckled.
"Besides, we don't have matches that require scouting. If we want to learn, we can just watch replays," Jun shrugged.
Silas didn't comnt.
"Top sixteen, huh? Never expected you'd make it this far."
The four friends sat around in a circle, taking advantage of their free ti to chat.
"Eh, it's nothing special, just okay~"
Silas's boast naturally earned him the other three's exasperated looks.
Just then, the door opened again.
"According to the report, Ampharos's injury mainly ca from the conflict between Fire-type energy and its own Electric-type energy. This isn't uncommon, but the combination of the power gap and Ampharos's condition caused…"
The speaker, of course, was Nurse Joy. She explained Ampharos's condition in detail, calmly and professionally.

Silas quickly signed his na with a few strokes.
"Thank you so much!"
Nurse Joy's voice carried a happy, rising tone as she took the photo and pen and left the room. Silas noticed her ears were faintly red.
"Ohhh~"
His friends all teased him.
"Can't help it—good-looking and strong," Silas said, a bit vainly, tilting his head.
"Yeah, unlike … only got the one in front left," Yezo sighed.
"Shut up!"
The remaining friends instinctively all gave him the middle finger in unison.
Laughing and joking, the group quickly shifted the conversation to their plans after the tournant ended.
"I'll just prepare for graduation normally. I still haven't completed my graduation tasks."
That was Yezo's reply.
"Hmm… I'll probably go back to continue my research. Battles are fun, but they're not really my thing."
That was Haruhira's answer.
"I'm Not sure." Jun pondered for a mont, giving no concrete answer.
"As for , I'll probably continue adventuring. Next region… tentatively the neighboring Johto."
Silas smiled, his eyes shining brightly with determination.
