Silas took out the high-quality healing spray he had purchased and applied it to the more seriously injured areas of Rhydon's body, mainly focusing on its abdon and legs. Then, he reached into his backpack and placed a few berries that could help restore stamina in front of the unconscious Rhydon.

After that, he retreated to stand beside his Boldore.

Although Rhydon hadn't resisted when he captured it with the Ultra Ball just monts ago—indicating that Blaziken had indeed beaten it into submission—it was better to be cautious in case this big guy threw a tantrum after waking up.

He honestly didn't think his skinny body could handle being roughed up by a Rhydon.

Blaziken snatched a Sitrus Berry, held it in its hand, and began munching on it. The fight with that big guy just now had been quite exhausting. Its defense was pretty incredible.

Silas leaned against Boldore and quietly waited for Rhydon to wake up.

Plop.

A few minutes later, Blaziken finished the Sitrus Berry and casually tossed the core at the armored upper half of Rhydon's body. Rhydon opened its eyes in a mix of embarrassnt and anger. Seriously? Can't I lie down and rest for a while?

With a frustrated grunt, it grabbed the Oran and Sitrus Berries in front of it and began devouring them without hesitation.

Generally speaking, as long as they weren't suffering from continuous damage, Pokémon recovered fairly quickly.

In truth, Rhydon had regained consciousness not long after the healing spray was applied, but it felt deeply ashad about not being able to inflict even the slightest damage on Blaziken. It was completely disheartened.

It had never eaten a Sitrus Berry before, though it was familiar with Oran Berries. But seeing that Blaziken was eating it so eagerly, it figured it must be pretty good.

Stuffing the yellow Sitrus Berry into its mouth, the sour-sweet taste was quite appetizing. Rhydon narrowed its eyes in satisfaction. Delicious. At the sa ti, it could feel its stamina rapidly recovering.

Silas noticed that Rhydon was just eating quietly and hadn't done anything else, so he called out, "So, what do you say? Convinced now?"

Rhydon gave a slight nod. It was definitely convinced. That Blaziken was really strong and had incredible strength.

In Rhydon's many years of living in the wild, the one with the bigger fists was the boss. That was just how it worked.

"Rhyr!" From now on, I'm your Pokémon. Nice to et you.

Silas nodded in satisfaction. That ant his objective for coming here was partially accomplished.

Seeing that Rhydon had nearly finished eating and its stamina was mostly recovered, Silas began to ask about the Moon Stone.

Rhy?" Moon Stone? What's that? Rhydon's small eyes were full of confusion.

Silas smacked his forehead. He had forgotten that wild Pokémon didn't know the nas humans used for evolution stones. That was a bit of a brain fart on his part.

He quickly pulled up a photo of a Moon Stone from his watch and showed it to Rhydob.

Looking at the pitch-black stone resembling the night sky, Rhydon furrowed its brow. That thing… it does look familiar.

Rhyr, Rhyrr, rawr!" Yeah, I've seen it! I even ate one once. Didn't taste that great though.

Rhydon smacked its lips. That stone… two Nidoking and Nidoqueen had even fought it fiercely over it.

It had sensed the energy within the stone and snatched it away to eat, but it turned out to be completely useless to it.

Silas nodded slightly as he listened to Rhydon's explanation. So it snatched it from that couple of Pokémon, huh…

He gave Rhydon a helpless glance. Of course they'd fight you for it. To you, it's just a diocre stone with no value. But to them, it's sothing that could strengthen their offspring.

"For them, it's the key to making their children stronger. Of course they'd go all out," he muttered.

"Do they still have more of those stones?" Silas asked. This could be a huge opportunity.

"Rhyr..." Probably? Tyrantrum wasn't too sure if they still had any left, but last ti it saw them, there were three. It had only taken one.

Three?

Silas's breathing grew slightly quicker. Subtracting the one wasted by the Rhydon, there should still be two left over there.

Two Moon Stones—those alone were nearly equal to his entire net worth right now.

Not that he was greedy or anything… okay, maybe he was. The real reason was that last ti, that Nidoking and Nidoqueen couple had chased him and his Blaziken until they were panting and wheezing. He wanted a little payback.

Fine, he admitted it—he was totally greedy for those two Moon Stones. Silas wasn't pretending anymore. He was laying all his cards on the table. With the local boss Rhydon leading the way, he followed behind with Blaziken and Boldore in tow.

One trainer, three Pokémon—they headed straight toward the nest of the Nidoking and Nidoqueen couple.

Silas, a man of great efficiency, answered the Rhydon's curiosity on the way.

"You're asking why Blaziken can stay so steady, huh?" He paused. "That's actually not too hard to explain. First, the Earthquake you create with your Arm Hamr isn't really that powerful. Second, Blaziken is technically a bird-type Pokémon, and thanks to its fighting skills, it has a very strong sense of balance.

Mainly, I've trained it specifically for this kind of thing. Situations like jumping mid-air with nowhere to push off from are kind of similar to this."

Rhydon nodded, half-understanding. It had no idea what "training" or "balance" really ant, but it all sounded very impressive.

"Blazee..~"

"Eh, it's nothing really~" Blaziken called out cheerfully at the side. This stuff's easy. Practice a bit and you'll be able to do it too.

The two Pokémon just started chatting like that, and soon the cave was echoing with endless "Blazee~" and "Rhyr.." sounds.

"Smack! Thud!"

Silas didn't hesitate to land a whack on each of their heads.

Hand trembling slightly behind his back, he scolded, "Knock it off, both of you. We're almost at the enemy's nest. Keep quiet."

Even though neither Pokémon actually felt anything from the light blow, they obediently stopped chatting and kept silent.

As they drew closer to the nest of the Nidoking and Nidoqueen, there were noticeably fewer Pokémon around them.

"Boldore!"

Boldore let out a calm call. It had sensed a few Pokémon up ahead moving on the ground. Judging by the size of the vibrations, they were quite large—probably their targets this ti.

"How many roughly?" Silas asked it.

In caves like this, Boldore, with its nearly body-level sensitivity to rocks, was the best scout around. Its hearing was also unusually sharp.

"Boldore!"

Six. Two of them were really big and heavy—probably Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Another was flying and hanging upside-down from the ceiling, likely a Zubat. The other three were on the ground—two Paras and one Parasect, from the sounds of it.

Boldore gave a thorough report. For Pokémon it had encountered before, like Zubat and Paras, it could recognize the unique patterns of sound and vibration they made while moving.

But for ones it hadn't t—like Nidoking and Nidoqueen—it could only give a rough guess.

Rhydon roared, offering to go provoke that bunch—it did this sort of thing all the ti.

Silas thought for a mont, then nodded in agreent.

"Boom. Boom."

Rhydon stomped toward the nest, deliberately making heavy, echoing steps.

"ROAR!"
