Chapter 482:

"Don’t ss around, Farfetch’d!"

But imdiately its combative desire was quelled when gumi gave it a tap on the head, making Farfetch’d lower its leek and rub its head.

Seeing this, Kaede was montarily stunned, unable to say anything.

gumi then looked back at the screen, replying to Kaede, "This is in the northeastern mountain range."

"You’ve traveled that far?" Kaede’s eyes widened in shock.

That’s like thousands of kiloters away.

"But I just... kept walking and ended up here..." gumi on the other side habitually stuck out her tongue like before, sitting cross-legged on a spread-out carpet on the ground.

"Damn, your mom would be heartbroken seeing you like this!"

Looking at gumi, whose face still bore a scratch from so unknown branch, Kaede felt a mix of indescribable emotions.

This kid... she probably never went through such hardships before, right?

"It’s been a long ti since I called my mom; I only send ssages," gumi chuckled with a silly grin.

"Afraid your mom would scold you, huh."

Kaede retorted without any real heat.

Then he asked, "Which wilderness area is this? It looks so chaotic."

As he asked, he also greeted Blastoise, owscarada, and Noivern on the other side.

These Pokémon had all eaten his cooking before, so they had a good relationship with him, especially Blastoise.

From their appearance, Blastoise, owscarada, and Noivern all showed noticeable changes.

Blastoise seed to have grown quite a bit, its face now bearing a touch of resilience, though it still showed a goofy smile upon seeing him.

gumi’s owscarada, compared to his own, had a sharper gleam in its eyes, and its fur was a shade darker than his owscarada’s.

Pokémon often out in the wild were constantly on alert, so their deanor naturally differed from those at ho.

After evolving, Noivern’s personality seed less playful than before. Looking at Kaede, it didn’t have the "co here with a wave" attitude anymore, just giving a cool nod.

"It’s the Titan Mountains. I heard soone recently spotted a Zoroark here, so I wanted to co see~"

"Earth Deity Mountains?"

Kaede was taken aback. This "Titan" didn’t refer to the Land Spirit Groudon, but rather Regigigas, who had helped humans in the past. After aiding humans, it headed towards these continuous mountain ranges, which later beca known as the Titan Mountains.

And Zoroark...

This Pokémon was even more interesting.

Its transformation ability, in Kaede’s knowledge, ranked first among all Pokémon below the Legendary tier!

Catching such a Pokémon was basically impossible unless using technological ans, possessing extrely strong Aura abilities, or exploiting its weakness.

In the movie *Zoroark: Master of Illusions*, a Zoroark once single-handedly controlled the three Legendary Beasts—Suicune, Entei, and Raikou (though that one was shiny).

"You’ve got so guts."

Kaede remarked sarcastically.

In the standards set by the Eastova League, the Titan Mountains were considered a relatively dangerous wilderness area. Deep inside, there were many Alpha-level, even Elite Four-level Pokémon.

But judging by gumi’s setup, her vigilance seed sufficient. Blastoise, with its Aura ability, guarded the outermost periter. Noivern perched on a not-too-high branch, ready for a quick escape at any mont.

It was clear that after so traveling, she had genuinely matured a lot.

As for that Farfetch’d with its fiery temperant—an average Trainer wouldn’t be able to make it submit so readily.

"Hehe, let tell you, Kaede, it’s like this," gumi, sensing the reproach in Kaede’s tone, just chuckled foolishly without arguing, and explained the reason for her trip here. "That Zoroark is different from ordinary ones. It’s white with red markings all over, and when it runs, it’s like a shadow!"

"I heard soone offered a high price to capture it, and I was curious too."

"Red and white?" Kaede was taken aback.

Zoroark, as a species, was famous for its rarity. In any region, they were few and far between, typically reproducing with parents raising their young.

A red and white Zoroark should be the legendary Hisuian form Zoroark.

As far as he knew, Hisui was the ancient na for the Sinnoh region. Did that an this Zoroark ca from Sinnoh?

No, wait, that might not be right.

Each region’s Pokémon had different forms in ancient tis. For example, in the Paldea region, there were so-called Paradox Pokémon.

Perhaps in the distant past, before the continents separated, all Pokémon didn’t look like they do now.

To uncover the truth, one would probably have to ask w, but after so long, even w might not rember everything.

The so-called Hisuian form could very well appear in the Eastova region too.

However, regardless of the reason, ancient Pokémon tended to be more ferocious and violent compared to modern ones.

"Are you short on money?" Kaede asked, sowhat puzzled.

"Not at all! No, no, Kaede, I’m not here for the money. I just want to see what this Pokémon looks like and check if its transformation ability is really as amazing as they say!" gumi replied instinctively but quickly understood the hidden aning in Kaede’s words and hurriedly explained.

"I see..."

Kaede wasn’t surprised.

After all, for a Trainer, wanting to see rare Pokémon, wanting to battle them—it was all very normal.

Not just gumi; even he, upon hearing about such a Pokémon, couldn’t help but feel a spark of curiosity.

"Still, be careful. That’s the ancient form of Zoroark. Ancient Pokémon in general..." Kaede advised, about to share the information he knew with gumi.

But halfway through, his pupils contracted sharply.

In the dappled sunlight under the tree shadows, a figure behind gumi made him instinctively lower his voice.

The previously goofy-smiling Blastoise also straightened its posture, its back cannons shifting forward, gleaming with a cold light.

"Farfetch’d!"

Farfetch’d also raised its leek, ready for action.

From among the brown-gray rocks behind them, a Pokémon with sharp forelimbs, horns on its head, and fin-like structures on its back crouched low, clearly in a battle-ready stance.
