Alex started thinking about which 3 pokemon he should pick. He was thinking about two different Pokemon. Scizor and Bastiodon.
But after considering the pros and cons of both Pokemon, he made his decision.
He planned on choosing Bastiodon as his third Pokemon. although it was a close call where both Pokemon have an advantage, he prefers Bastiodon.
Although Bastiodon was very weak against Heracross, it was very useful against all other pokemon, even against Pinsir, with who he has maybe little problems.
Especially against Ezra's two strongest Pokemon Butterfree, is Bastiodon almost an unstoppable Monster.
Ironically, the main reason Bastiodon was chosen over Scizor is his offense.

'Am I imagining it or is, the more famous trainer the last one to enter the arena?' thought Alex with a short smile.
