This fight wasn't very fast but was decided to Scizor with the moves [Swords Dance] and [Brick Break].

Though Steven didn't allow Scizor to utilize [Swords Dance] too often and constantly inflicted damage on Scizor.

Alex saved his two most useful Pokemon against tagross for this one.

Although he wasn't very sure about his chances against this monster, it shouldn't be impossible to defeat him in a 1v2 fight.

3 level advantage is not small but also not as big as in the last fight against tagross.

In the end, he decided to start with Blaziken

Alex, hearing this, felt for a few seconds like Steven was teasing him.

In all other fights his Pokemon don't use secret signs but in this fight, Steven suddenly started using one.

that was extrely annoying to Alex.

Although Alex can understand why Steven is only trying so to morize these secret signs for his ace monster and not all his Pokemon.

The big disadvantage with these secret signs is that you have to learn them and that they have to be replaced regularly.

in tournants even after each fight. or the next one against knows imdiately what these secret signs an.

Also, your Pokemon must be willing to do the sa and learn these secret signs.

But the biggest problem is for the Trainers with a lot of Pokemon.

If you're not smart enough, it's hard to quickly learn and rember new secret signs after each fight for every Pokemon. even if you're smart, it takes ti to do so.

Blaziken runs away from tagross as tagross is chasing him.

tagross was faster than Blaziken and doesn't take that long to get in range.

But before he got within reach Blaziken used [Sunny Day].

Imdiately afterward Blaziken uses [Quick Attack] to not attack but to build up a new distance again.

She uses it purely to build up a big distance from tagross.

Steven flashed a smile as he saw this. He thought, 'Alex, you can't always expect the sa trick to always work. I watch your fights too often that it works against . You have to co up with sothing new. Although I have to admit I was lucky that it worked.'

tagross just pretends to prepare a lee move to bait Blaziken to waste his [Quick Attack] on.

[Psychic] was the move that tagross was preparing. This move didn't have infinite range, but it wasn't as small as lee moves.

tagross ca into range almost imdiately and it used [Psychic]

Blaziken, who was preparing another move, didn't have ti to use [Protect].

She was hit and loses more than 50% of her HP

Steven said with a happy expression, "tagross end it with [Psychic]"

Alex modeled a serious expression but was inwardly happy that Steven gave the order.

tagross and Blaziken both prepare their moves.

Blaziken finished first and used [Overheat] and then imdiately got ready to use [Protect].

tagross was a step too late to finish preparing his move and couldn't use [Protect]. It was hit by [Overheat].

[Overheat] master rank [Sunny Day] master rank was a ridiculously powerful attack and tagross loses around 40% of the HP from it.

tagross ignored its pain and it used [Psychic].

Blaziken's shield from [Protect] only lasts 1 second and Blaziken still took most of the damage from [Psychic].

But because of that, she was at least not knocked unconscious.

Blaziken didn't wait for Alex's orders and started preparing a new move again.

Before this fight, Alex gave Blaziken a plan so she knew what to do in which situation. It's not perfect but she knew what she had to do about this situation.

"tagross, again. Also, don't let Blaziken get in lee range,"

Blaziken and tagross finished their moves at the sa ti this ti.

tagross uses [Psychic] and knocks Blaziken unconscious.

Blaziken used [Will-O-Wisp] and managed to give tagross a status effect.

[Will-O-Wisp] is even enhanced with [Sunny Day] which Alex didn't expect before his many tests.

but that's why he often made tests with moves and checked what had changed from the gas to this reality.

Alex looked at tagross and said, "Co on. Just a little more."

He was so close to victory.
