Alex thought for several minutes when he suddenly noticed his TRH device start vibrating and making a noise.
He looks at who to call him now and realized it was Giovanni.
The watch that Alex, Marco, and Janine are wearing not only has a GPS but apparently another thing that allows Giovanni to know what just happened.
Alex doesn't believe that Giovanni just called randomly and that the timing was random.
The TRH device could not have such a function because Giovanni had personally promised all high-level team rocket mbers not to hide any hidden recording devices in this system and until today nothing was found in the TRH device when the other executive said they were testing it.
The only questionable thing the TRH device could do is know exactly where the user was located. (although this has been openly communicated by Giovanni and is not a problem for most Team rocket mbers.)
He accepted the call and wordlessly looked at his TRH device.
Alex didn't know what to say for a mont.
He knew it wasn't Giovanni's fault that this happened but he couldn't help but feel so negative emotions towards Giovanni after all of this happened. Marco is Giovanni's nephew after all.
He also had a suspicion that Giovanni was Marco's first target and he was only taken because Giovanni was too strong. It wasn't Giovanni's fault either, but it left him with a bad taste in his mouth.
Giovanni's calm voice could be heard from the TRH device as he said, "Alex, I saw what happened. I have to apologize for putting you in such a situation. It's truthfully an unfortunate situation and I have a share of the responsibility for what happened to you."
Alex heard what Giovanni had said and for a mont he didn't know what to say. At that ti he was still very emotional and not in the best possible condition to think logically.
He just said the first thing that ca to mind, "Boss, why did you allow him to take this test when you knew he was such a threat?"
Giovanni replied without hesitation, "He's no danger to anyone else but . Or that's what I thought before this happened. I also half hoped that his condition might get better this year.
"Alex, I don't know why he suddenly beca so interested in you, but I genuinely didn't expect it. I know you don't want to hear this now, but I'll compensate you later."
Then before Alex could say anything he said, "Not for your loss but for my mistakes. As a trainer, I understand that a Pokemon can not be replaced. Please see this compensation in the way I an it."
Alex was speechless and didn't say anything for a few seconds.
He then said, "It's not really your responsibility. The biggest fault was on and my ignorance. I underestimated the danger of Marco and only now I'm starting to understand this bastard a little bit better."
Alex started talking like he was talking to himself and not Giovanni. "Now that I thought about it, I realize that this bastard was very envious of and my pokemon. It may be that the many positive emotions between my pokemon and made him jealous and angry. It may be the talent and strength of my pokemon made him jealous and angry. Who knows. Although... I still don't really understand this crazy bastard."
Giovanni said nothing for a mont before adding, "I can't say I understand Marco well but I think the main reason he hated you and your Pokemon was because he realized you got so strong and talented without losing a Pokemon and this one thought made him extrely envious and furious."
Giovanni said in a slightly emotional tone, "You remind him a lot of the person he was before he lost his starter Pokemon. Or that's what I understood from the conversation between you two."
Alex felt anger starting to build after hearing that.
"THIS BASTARD. HE JUST DOES THIS BECAUSE I WAS SIMILAR TO HIS PAST HIM? THIS CRAZY BASTARD EVEN THOUGHT I WILL BECO LIKE HIM AFTER THIS HAPPENED TO ."
Alex got so mad that Bastiodon died for such a crazy reason. That is so unfair. It was completely illogical. Only for a madman that would make sense.
Giovanni waited for Alex to calm down and he said, "The reason probably didn't matter to him anymore."
Alex noticed his other Pokemon starting to wake up and he quickly said, "I have to go."
Giovanni answered in a calm tone, "We can talk later. Good luck."
Alex hung up and looked at the Pokemon that woke up.
Blaziken who was looking at the corpse of Bastiodon started crying as she fell to the ground. She completely broke down.
Gardevoir, Ditto, and the rest didn't have much better facial expressions and many still couldn't believe that Batsiodon was dead.
Alex showed a serious expression as he yelled, "WE WILL SAVE BASTIODON. FOLLOW "
Without waiting for Alex's signal, Crobat started to lift Alex into the air.
Blaziken and the rest of the Pokemon looked at Alex and Crobat with hopeful faces as they followed. Scizor and Blaziken carry the corpse of Bastiodon as they follow Alex and Crobat.
Alex's team moved towards Area 18 and they entered this dangerous area without hesitation.
During this short journey, Alex explains to all Pokemon what the ergency plans are and what each Pokemon should do.
For example, all Pokemon must be within 1 ter of each other and Gardevoir must prepare Teleport in advance.
That's just the first ergency plan and Alex has three others if the first plan doesn't work.
Gardevoir suddenly felt the life energy from an extrely powerful Pokemon and she imdiately warned Alex about it.
Alex said with a calm expression, "Then let's go to this powerful Pokemon. Gardevoir, watch out for my signal in case sothing goes wrong."
As the group got closer and closer, Alex saw the information about a Pokemon through the trees
