The arena had beco a white void. The brown earth was gone, buried under a shifting layer of frost and jagged hailstones that rattled against the floor like gravel. Julian stood at the edge of the storm, his eyes squinted against the stinging wind. This was the final hurdle.

Jira didn't give him a second to breathe. "This is the final lesson of the Snowpoint Dojo: the absolute sovereignty of ice on its own turf! Abomasnow, bury them! Blizzard!"

"Bad~!"

Abomasnow's roar was like the grinding of tectonic plates. He opened his massive, shaggy maw, and a localized hurricane of crystalline death erupted. In the snowy weather, Blizzard wasn't just a beam; it was an atmospheric event. The falling snowflakes and hailstones were sucked into the vacuum of the attack, expanding its radius until the entire center of the field was a churning wall of white. There was nowhere to dodge, nowhere to hide.

"Growlithe, don't let the storm swallow you! Use your new heat! Flathrower!" Julian yelled, his voice cracking against the wind.

"Sea-sea!"

Growlithe planted his paws, lowered his head, and unleashed a torrent of brilliant, orange-red fire. The high-temperature stream cut into the white wall, and for a mont, the two elents fought for dominance. Steam exploded upward in thick, blinding clouds as ice turned to vapor.

But as the seconds ticked by, the red line of the fire began to retreat. The sheer volu of the Blizzard, amplified by the Snow Warning environnt, was simply too much. The flas were being squeezed, the tip of the fire-stream getting closer and closer to Growlithe's face.

"Tsk—even with the charcoal boost, we're hitting a ceiling," Julian muttered to himself.

He had equipped Growlithe with a piece of high-grade Coal before the match, a subtle buff that had helped him sweep the previous three opponents. But Abomasnow was a seasoned Elite Class veteran standing in his natural habitat. A "newbie" Elite like Growlithe couldn't just overpower him with raw force, even with a type advantage.

"If we can't blow it away, we have to survive it! Growlithe, abort! Wrap yourself in the Fla Wheel and hunker down!"

Growlithe tried to pivot, his mouth closing as he attempted to ignite his fur into a defensive sphere. But the Blizzard was too fast. The freezing gale slamd into him before the fire could fully envelop his body.

"Woof! (Too cold!)"

"Growlithe!" Julian reached out with his Aura, feeling the sudden spike of cold and pain through their ntal link. Through the thick mist, the orange glow of the fire had vanished, replaced by the howling white of the storm.

A few tense breaths passed. Then, a low, shaky growl echoed from the fog.

"Woof... woof... (Still here... just... got my bells rung...) "

Julian let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "My bad, buddy. I forgot you just learned Flathrower; you're not used to switching from a full-output blast to a defensive roll yet. Can you still stand?"

"Woof! (I'm a Fire-type, Julian! A little snow isn't putting out!)" Growlithe stepped out of the mist, shaking his fur. He was covered in frost, his orange coat looking pale, but the defiance in his eyes was still burning.

Jira frowned. "Still standing? You're persistent, I'll give you that. But let's see you handle the encore. Abomasnow, another Blizzard!"

"Bad~!"

"Not this ti!" Julian's eyes sharpened. "If the fire-cannon didn't work, we change the strategy! Growlithe, create a Fire Spin barrier around yourself first, then go into the Fla Wheel!"

Growlithe didn't hesitate. He spun in a tight circle, venting a thick ribbon of fire that acted like a heat-shield against the incoming storm. As the second Blizzard crashed against the fire-wall, the mist thickened into a total white-out.

"Now!" Julian shouted, his voice ringing through the Dojo. "Growlithe, listen to your instincts! Ignore the eyes—run straight into the heart of the storm! Don't use the Fla Wheel to attack, use it to maintain your core temp! Can you do it?"

"Woof! (Watch !)"

Inside the fog, Growlithe didn't just stay put. He used a trick they had practiced back in Solaceon Town—the 'Heater' technique. He kept his internal temperature high enough to ward off the frost without wasting energy on a massive external fla. He beca a silent, warm shadow moving through the blizzard, running straight toward where he rembered Abomasnow standing.

Jira looked confused. "Is he just running blind? Or did he actually predict the cooldown?"

Abomasnow had used two massive Blizzards in a row; his lungs were heavy, and he needed a mont to recharge. Jira couldn't launch another long-range nuke without vision.

"Fine. If you want to play hide and seek... Abomasnow, use your senses! Feel the heat in the snow! Avalanche!"

Abomasnow closed his purple eyes, sensing the 'warm spot' moving through his cold domain. He raised a massive arm, and a block of ice the size of a small car ford in the air, crashing down toward the 'warm spot.'

Growlithe, sprinting through the white-out, saw the shadow looming above him. Years of Julian's "random encounter" training—where Julian would literally jump out of bushes or throw pillows at him at 3 AM to test his reflexes—kicked in. Growlithe banked hard to the left, the ice block smashing into the ground inches from his tail.

[Thank God for Julian being a weirdo,] Growlithe thought, dodging another sudden iceberg. [All those midnight 'ambushes' finally paid off.]

Suddenly, a massive green shape lood through the white.

[Found you!]

Growlithe didn't bark. He didn't growl. He just opened his mouth and shoved a point-blank Flathrower right into Abomasnow's side.

"BAD!" The giant roared in agony as the scorching heat lted through his ice-armor.

"Beautiful! Now, finish it! Fla Wheel!" Julian cheered.

"Abomasnow, don't let him slip away! Aurora Veil!" Jira yelled back.

As Growlithe ignited into a spinning fireball for the final strike, Abomasnow's green arms moved like a conductor's. A shimring, multicolored curtain of light erupted around the giant, creating a glowing do.

BANG!

Growlithe slamd into the veil. Instead of the crushing impact he expected, it felt like hitting a giant rubber band. The damage was halved instantly.

"Now, end this! Wood Hamr!"

Abomasnow didn't care about the burns on his side. He raised a massive, jade-glowing arm and brought it down like a falling tree.

BOOM!

The shockwave was so violent it literally blew the fog and snow away for a split second, revealing the grim reality of the field. Growlithe was pinned deep into the snowy ground, the massive weight of the Wood Hamr having crushed the last of his energy.

The referee rushed forward, checking the pup's vitals. "Growlithe is unable to battle! Abomasnow wins!"

Julian sprinted across the ice, sliding on his knees to reach his partner. He gathered the unconscious, soot-streaked dog into his arms. "You did it, buddy. You actually did it. You took out three and paved the way." He whispered into Growlithe's ear, his voice thick with pride.

Julian walked back to his trainer box, carefully returning Growlithe to his ball. "Take a long rest, Ace. You earned it."

Jira watched him, leaning on his Abomasnow who was panting heavily, steam rising from the burn marks on his torso. "I have to admit, Julian... you're sothing else. You nearly took down my entire team with one pup. But Abomasnow is still standing, and unless you have another Fire-type hiding in your pocket, this mountain isn't moving."

Julian adjusted his hat, his face set in a confident grin. "Oh, I don't need another Fire-type to move a mountain. I just need soone who knows how to garden in the winter. Floette, let's show them how we change the weather!"

The Poké Ball opened, and a tiny, elegant figure floated into the middle of the blizzard. She held her blue-flowered umbrella over her head, her tiny eyes narrowed at the giant Abomasnow.

"Floe~! (About ti! I was getting bored in there!)"

Floette did a dainty mid-air flip, narrowly dodging a stray hailstone with a giggle.

Jira laughed, though there was an edge of caution in it. "A Floette? In this storm? She's barely bigger than the hailstones. What can a flower do against a glacier?"

Julian pointed toward the ceiling. "She isn't here to fight the ice, Jira. She's here to remind the world that spring is coming. Floette, Sunny Day! Clear the skies!"
