Sam stopped focusing purely on defense. While maintaining his guard, he began to launch counterattacks.
Before obtaining the Sand Slate, it would have been difficult for Tyranitar to control the sand constructs for defense while also forming offensive techniques like the Desert Blade.
But now, everything was different.
With the Sand Slate, Tyranitar's control over sand had reached a whole new level. What was once difficult had beco second nature.
Realizing how formidable his opponent was, Tyranitar no longer hesitated.
It spread its arms, closed its eyes, and took a deep breath—
And then, sothing incredible happened.
Gravel appeared out of nowhere, instantly filling the battlefield.
Before Swinub could react, the sand condensed into sharp scimitars, surrounding it from all directions.
Seeing the suffocating assault, Pryce frowned slightly.
But as a seasoned Trainer, this level of pressure wasn't enough to shake him.
He didn't even give a command—he simply trusted Swinub to handle it.
And Swinub didn't disappoint.
A freezing wind burst from its mouth, instantly forming an impenetrable wall of ice around its body.
The sand scimitars struck the ice barrier, producing a rapid series of sharp, cracking sounds.
While Tyranitar and Swinub clashed fiercely, sothing changed nearby.
Celebi slowly regained consciousness.
Still dazed, Celebi rubbed its eyes—but the mont it saw the battlefield, fear filled its expression.
Although it was a Legendary Pokémon, combat had never been its strength. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been driven into such a desperate situation by Pryce in the first place.
As its senses fully returned, Celebi didn't hesitate.
Instead of helping Sam, its first instinct was to escape.
Taking advantage of Pryce's focus on the battle, Celebi opened a ti-space gate and fled.
By the ti Pryce noticed sothing was wrong—
Celebi had already vanished.
Pryce's expression darkened.
He hadn't expected his prey to slip away at the last mont.
Fortunately, the gate hadn't fully closed yet.
Without wasting another second, Pryce abandoned the fight entirely.
He recalled his Pokémon and stepped straight into the ti-space gate, continuing the pursuit.
Watching him disappear, Sam clenched his teeth.
There was no system notification.
Which ant one thing—
Celebi wasn't safe yet.
What now?
There was no ti to think.
The gate was already beginning to close.
If he hesitated, the opportunity would be gone.
Sam made a split-second decision.
If Pryce dared to enter, it ant the gate wasn't imdiately fatal.
Gritting his teeth, Sam rushed forward and leaped into the closing rift.
The mont he entered—
The world spun.
A strange, invisible current swept over him.
Countless distorted dinsional pathways appeared before his eyes.
Each one radiated a powerful pulling force.
Before he could react—
He was dragged in.
"Damn it!!"
That was his last thought.
When he opened his eyes again—
Everything had changed.
A full moon hung high in the sky.
There was still a forest around him—but Sam imdiately knew:
This was no longer Viridian Forest.
A moon like this could never be seen through its dense canopy.
After confirming there was no imdiate danger, Sam quickly checked the Poké Balls at his waist.
All his Pokémon were safe.
Only then did he let out a breath of relief.
Now ca the real problem—
Where was he?
And more importantly…
When was he?
"Co out, Gengar."
Gengar was perfect for scouting.
After assigning it the task of gathering information, Sam remained where he was, waiting quietly for news.
