Everyone on the observation deck held their breath.

No one spoke.

They could all feel it—the unique Pokémon was approaching.

Dong—dong—dong—dong.

The Poké Ball at Sam's waist began shaking violently.

Without even looking, Sam knew which Pokémon it was.

"Tyranitar," Sam said softly, smiling.

"You're looking forward to this too."

It's here.

Not far from the lighthouse, under the sweeping beam of light, the enormous Pokémon finally revealed its true form.

A colossal Dragonite erged from the sea, towering over everything below.

---

[Pokémon]: Dragonite

[Type]: Dragon / Flying

[Strength]: Champion

[Potential]: God

[Evaluation]: Has already touched the realm of "god." Promotion is only a matter of ti.

---

After seeing the system's evaluation, Sam's heart pounded wildly.

So this is a god…

I really want to see how strong a "god" truly is.

Unable to find any trace of its companions, the giant Dragonite realized it had been deceived.

To vent its anger, it released a thunderous roar that shook the air.

Even soone as bold as Ash Ketchum felt a chill.

"Bill…" Ash swallowed nervously.

"Is it really okay that we lied to it?"

Researchers sotis risk their lives for the sake of truth.

At this mont, Professor Bill was exactly that kind of person.

Facing an enraged Dragonite, he showed no panic at all.

Even sacrificing his life for research would not make him hesitate.

Fortunately, although the giant Dragonite was furious, it had no intention of attacking.

Among Dragon-type Pokémon, Dragonite is known for having one of the gentlest dispositions.

Unlike Salance, Garchomp, or Hydreigon, Dragonite possesses a naturally kind heart.

Unable to find its companions, the enormous Dragonite slowly turned, preparing to leave.

"Wait!"

Sam stepped forward and shouted.

To ensure Dragonite could hear him, he even activated his spiritual power.

"Dragon?"

The giant Dragonite stopped.

It looked down at the small human before it with confusion, clearly puzzled as to why he would stop it.

Ash, Bill, Misty, and Brock all stared at Sam in shock.

Even as companions, they had no idea what Sam intended to do.

"Have a Pokémon battle with ."

Ash froze.

He seriously wondered if his ears were malfunctioning.

"H-Hey… you can't be serious, Sam," Misty said in disbelief.

"That Dragonite is enormous!"

"If you don't try," Sam replied calmly with a smile,

"how will you ever know?"

Not only Sam—

His Tyranitar was just as eager.

A challenge against a godlike being…

How could it refuse?

The giant Dragonite hesitated.

It couldn't even rember the last ti it had battled.

Ten years?

Twenty years?

Perhaps even fifty.

Looking at Sam—his fighting spirit blazing like fire—the massive Dragonite slowly smiled.

It seed to recall sothing long forgotten.

"Dragon."

It agreed.

---

On the Beach

"Do you think Sam can win?" Ash asked nervously.

This was what concerned him most.

Misty rolled her eyes and replied bluntly,

"How is that even possible? No Trainer can defeat a Dragonite that big."

She was being rational.

No matter how strong Sam was, the difference in scale and power was overwhelming.

That Dragonite was no longer sothing ordinary Pokémon could challenge.

Perhaps only Legendary Pokémon could stand against it.

"Just watch quietly," Brock said calmly, though his eyes shone with anticipation.

"We'll know the answer soon enough."

Such a battle was almost unheard of.

Even Brock couldn't hide his excitent.

"That's right," Bill said softly.

"Let's witness this duel."

"You can't wait either, can you?" Sam said gently, resting his hand on Tyranitar's Poké Ball.

The next mont, Tyranitar burst out on its own, unable to contain its excitent.

Sam's Tyranitar was already massive among its species.

Standing nearly three ters tall, clad in heavy green armor, it could overpower most Pokémon with ease.

But this ti—

Its opponent was on a completely different level.

Compared to the colossal Dragonite—standing dozens of ters tall—the once-mighty Tyranitar looked almost small.

When Tyranitar finally faced the giant Dragonite head-on, it instinctively took a deep breath.

Just standing there, it felt an overwhelming pressure.

A crushing presence from a higher dinsion.

"ROOOAAARRR!!!"

Tyranitar hated that feeling.

It roared fiercely, forcing back the fear rising in its chest.

And with that roar—

Tyranitar launched the first attack.
