A group in a Pokemon center could be seen on the battlefield, in the middle were two people fighting, One had a Charmander and the other had a Poliwag. But at this point, the fire lizard was down and unconscious so his trainer grabbed him and ran him to the Joy.
As Charmander was resting another boy approached the other guy who had blue hair, The boy approaching had orange hair and an X necklace.
"I told you already get rid of that stupid lizard, It is useless it can't even beat the weakest Pokemon, I already gave you a better fire Pokemon so why do you still have it." the orange-headed boy said as less of a question and more as a demand.
The second boy got scared but he still responded, "I told you I like my Pokemon, and he was a gift my f-father did a lot to get -" The boy was cut off.
"Does it look like I care," the boy interrupted him, "This is your last chance to get rid of that Pokemon or stop following , do you rember the first thing I told you when I said you could join ."
"T-to not hold you back."
"Well it seems like you aren't as brain-dead as you seem, Now get rid of that lizard or I'll get rid of you." the Orange said said before walking away.
So ti later at Fire Lizard Rock, Ash was looking at the rock since he was visiting it at night again, "Again no sign of Charmander again, well I'll co back once I beat up Surge, Abra."
Abra, who was inside his jacket, woke up and teleported away. 5 minutes later a blue-haired kid was approaching the rock and released fire lizard.
Charmander got up but was also still injured from the battle so it lay back down, "Charmander I'm sorry but I can't keep taking care of you," the kid was saying almost falling into tears,
"Char- Charmander,'' the fire lizard said weekly since he was tired.
"I'm sorry I want to keep you but I can't, Please don't make this harder for just stay in this forest." the boy said before leaving so food for the Pokemon and running off.
Although Charmander misunderstood what the boy did, and since he was given so food he decided to wait.

After Ash and Yellow t up with Brock and Misty again they had dinner and then went to their rooms, Ash already reserved a battle with Surge beforehand and just finished the final preparations for tomorrow then went to sleep.
The next day everyone woke up and ate Then at about noon they made their way to the gym, Waiting outside for them was Green in her usual trainer attire.
Naturally, Yellow, who hadn't seen her friend yet, imdiately ran up to her, "Hey Green over here" and ran up to her.
"Hey Yellow, hey Ash, I assu you're the one who scheduled the next match," Green said.
"Wow, it seems like you do know after all, That or you were going to challenge him right now and you got rejected," Ash said.
"Yeah but it's just my luck when one of my idiot friends rents the gym for the whole day and my other idiot friend rents it the next," Green said.
"Well, you're more than welco to wait in the stands. I guarantee that this won't last long."
"Famous last words, any way you're going to explain to why a gym leader and that girl we t back in route one are behind you."
"Well long story short," Ash pointed at Brock, "Deadbeat dad ca back with the milk and took over the gym so he left," then pointed at Misty, "Fourth sister in water gym who can't beco the gym leader yet"
"Hello," Brock and Misty said since he wasn't wrong.
"You can get the specifics from Yellow but for now I have an appointnt to get to so you guys go to the bleachers," Ash said half-jokingly pushing them in the direction of the bleachers and he walked to the door.
The 4 went up to the bleachers and continued catching up, anwhile, Ash opened the door and there were two assistants. Both dressed like they belonged in a biker gang instead of a military-inspired gym.
"Hey kid, what do you want?" The girl said.
"I'm here for my battle. I already scheduled it so I'd like you to get your boss out here," Ash said with his usual tone completely gone.
"He- you got so guts, kid," the Guy in a leather jacket said before calling into the darkness, "Hey boss another kid is here for you to beat up."
Suddenly walking forward was a large man from before with his Raichu on his shoulder, "He what do we have here, another kid seems like they are coming out of the woodworks first that one kid that didn't leave alone yesterday and now you" Surge said before tapping Ash on the shoulder.
Surge imdiately felt Ash's arm and was surprised before getting a grin, "Well it seems like you're not a pathetic scrawny kid like I thought, alright then this is going to be fun," Surge said before Noticing Pikachu on his shoulder.
"He- maybe not if you bought that Baby Pokemon," Surge said chuckling a bit, "Well as per league rules what is your na and how many badges do you have."
"The na's Ash and I have 2 badges already," Ash said as Pikachu also started getting angry at what Surge said, 'No, no, no Pikachu don't let your pride take over, If you battle and lose then the possibility of you evolving is gone forever.' Ash thought, hoping Pikachu would calm down.
"Get an attitude, good then take your place and we will start, As per league rules I am not allowed to swap Pokemon through normal ans, and my stadium is electric terrain to balance that. This is a 4 on 4," Surge said, pulling out a belt with 4 Pokeballs putting it over his shoulder, and picking one out.
Ash prepared his first Pokemon and they both released, Surge sent out his Electrode with a headband and Ash sent out Nidoran♂. And the battle began.
"Electrode now duo screens up" Surge commanded and imdiately both light screen and Reflect were put up, "Rain dance now." Surge continued using the difference in speed to get rain to start pouring in.
"Nidoran, Stealth Rock, and Toxic spikes x2" Nidoran got in position and spread out brown and purple spiky traps on the field over on Surge's side. However, as he tried to land the second set of Toxic spikes, Surge spoke up.
"Not bad but not good enough, Electrode volt switch," Electrode started sparking and turned to electricity, slamd into Nidoran and back into his Pokeball, then released another Pokemon Magneton with his Eviolite.
On the sidelines, everyone was watching and Yellow did the typical Pokemon companion special, "Wasn't only Ash allowed to switch Pokemon, why did Surge get to switch out his?"
"It's because he can't switch them out by traditional ans, aning he can't switch them out himself, but there are ways around that one being a volt switch."
Back to the battle Nidoran finally set the second set of Toxic spikes, and Magnimite took so damage from the stealth rock even though it was floating for so reason. So Ash returned Nidoran and sent out his next Pokemon, Machoke.
"Finally a real Pokemon, but it won't be enough for you now Magneton Thunder," Surge commanded with the electric terrain and the fact that even without rain he would hit, Machoke got hit with massive damage and as he got up static was running through him, he got paralyzed.
Surge was smirking thinking that Magneton made Machoke useless, when suddenly Machoke's skin turned red as steam started coming off of him and he got up unbothered by the electricity currently coursing through him, Guts activated.
"Alright then now Machoke, Knock off then Brick break." Machoke dashed forward with an open hand his left slapped the magnet knocking off the necklace that was holding the eviolite getting rid of its boost in Defence Then with a spin his other ca down collided with the screens and shattered them hitting the magnet square in the middle of the faces.
With the guts boost the stealth rock damage, and the boost from Machoke's black belt, that finished it off, but Machoke was still only about 30% after the Thunder. (A/N I pulled up a damage calculator and did not expect it to win that fast, I expected one more but nope.)
"Hehe, not a bad Kid, but I'm still going to win," Surge said before releasing his Electabuzz with a Black Belt on his waist, similar to the one Machoke had. Also getting chip damaged and badly poisoned.
"Alright, Electabuzz let's finish this quickly, Thunder and Dash forward," Surge commanded.
"Machoke Protect and et him head-on," Ash commanded as Machoke brought up a barrier above him stopping the electricity, and dashed forward.
"Thunder punch," "Fire Punch" Ash and Surge commanded and both Pokemon brought their fists together and started clashing, It was only at this point that Electabuzz took the poison damage.
They both punched each other and jumped back, "Wild Charge end this now" "et him in the middle and Cross Chop." they both commanded respectively.
The two Pokemon dashed together and once they got to each other a giant dust cloud with electricity coursing through it appeared and Machoke was still standing but was knocked out, and Electabuzz was also standing but barely after the poison.
Ash returned Machoke and prepared the next Pokemon Weepinbell.
"Well, kid I can't let you win just like this now can I, Electabuzz fire punch" Surge commanded as Electabuzz picked himself up and started charging at the Flycatcher.
"Stall with Protect then sunny day" Weepinbell set up a barrier protecting him from the fire and imdiately made the rain go away leaving the sun to get in, also getting a speed boost from Chlorophyll.
"Now get rid of him Solar beam" With the boost to speed and the sun a large beam was shot out of Weepinbell and hit Electabuzz launching him back rendering him unable to battle.
Surge returned Electabuzz, "I got to say kid you're the first person in a while that got this far on your first try, but you're still not going to win," Surge said before grabbing his first Pokeball and sending out Electrode again.
With the chip damage and poison, he was weakened but the sash didn't break, since it works differently from the gas, Instead of stopping one-hit KOs, it stops the last hit that would take it out.
"Alright Signal beam, then launch yourself with Rollout," Surge commanded.
"Weepinbell vine whip into the ground and brace yourself," Ash commanded as almost imdiately after a beam hit the Flycatcher, who just barely caught himself and dug its vine back into the ground as a red and white ball hit him at extre speeds over and over again.
"Now end this," Surge commanded as the ball went to land one more good hit onto the plant.
"Now, release and use Fly trap" Ash commanded and suddenly vines ca out of the ground and grabbed the rolling ball stopping him in place, Then they made it approach Weepinbell all he stretched his mouth wide and caught the ball in his mouth and started draining it.
"What! Get out of there discharge now." From inside electricity started flaring up but since grass resisted electricity it didn't do enough as he continued to be drained and poisoned.
"Now end this, Sludge Bomb while he is still in there," Weepingbell started filling his mouth with poison as the electric ball was still trapped inside until, his cheeks expanded from an explosion, from his ability Aftermath, then Weepingbell spit him out but kept sothing.
Surge returned his Pokemon and Ash did the sa, "I gotta admit kid you have impressed as such I will now use my strongest Pokemon, he has been with since the war." Surge said as his Raichu stood on his shoulders.
"Don't worry I'll have him hold back enough to at least make things fair," Surge said as Raichu stood there with his arms crossed and laughed a bit, "Rai-chu"
"Alright then I won't disappoint," Ash was going to release Gloom before Pikachu ca up to him and swiped away the Pokeball, "Pika-pi, Pikachu," he said.
Ash kept a straight face but inside his head, he thought one thing, 'FFFFFFuuuuuuuu-'
