Cross was walking through the forest and punched a tree in frustration, "How could that idiot lose, that stupid trainer he has done nothing but be a pain in my ass."
Cross was walking through the forest and wandered around, since he didn't know Ash had the wing he wasn't racing toward the mountain, he was frustrated and decided to push his training even further.
"I already have 4 badges and 2 of them are from the official gyms, I bet that trainer doesn't even have one, I swear if I see him again I'll show him and his little companions he isn't so invincible."
As he was saying that a figure ca out of the shadows, it had long given up trying to get into Ash's mind, it was far too sturdy and defended, however, this other trainer would be much easier, and he too has a history with Ho-Oh.
The figure ca out and started slithering towards Cross's Shadow and started doing his magic.
As Cross was training he heard a voice, "You want revenge don't you?"
"Wh- who's there," Cross said, looking around but seeing no one.
"That trainer with the Charleon, I can help you, give you power so you can defeat him."
"And why should I accept, I am already strong enough to beat him myself!" Cross shouted into the nothingness.
"Yes you are strong enough to beat him, but I can make you strong enough to humiliate him."
Cross got less aggressive hearing that, "And why are you telling this then?"
"Because of your connection with Ho-Oh"
Cross' Eyes widened, "How do you know about that."
"I know a lot, like how that trainer also t Ho-Oh, but he received the Rainbow wing, but you didn't."
"Why did that weakling get the wing but I didn't!" Cross said before punching another tree.
"I can tell you, but it doesn't matter, all you should care about is beating him and taking it."
A dark aura started enveloping Cross, "Yessss, I won't beat him, I am going to humiliate him, then I'm taking the wing and summoning Ho-Oh myself."

*Acho* Ash sneezed while riding atop of a Lapras, specifically Verity's Lapras which she revealed so they could swim through the river fast.
"You OK?" Sorrel asked
"Yeah, I'm fine, weird though I've never been sick before,"
"It's probably nothing then, by the way, have you guys wondered why the legendary dogs are here, shouldn't they be in hiding according to the legend thingy," Verity asked
"Well, yes actually you bring up a valid point, I guess we just never bothered to wonder," Sorrel said, looking through his tablet trying to find an explanation.
"I wonder if sothing happened, it probably has sothing to do with Ho-Oh probably," Ash said thinking about what might be happening in Johto.

(Before anything I knew that in the ani Ethan is Jimmy and Marina is Kris, but that's stupid so they are called Ethan and Kris, also I am using their Manga personalities because the Ani did them dirty,)
Kris was back in New Bark Town after returning from the Bell Tower, she was being comforted by Ethan and Vincent, and she was crying blaming herself for what she did.
-Flashback no Jutsu-
3 months earlier Ethan, Kris, and Vincent received their starter Pokemon, Vincent decided to stay in their town for a bit longer getting so extra help from Elm, but Ethan and Kris decided to start their journey only on their separate ways.
Ethan and Vincent wanted to make it to the league and beco great trainers, but Kris was determined to complete the Johto National dex, to date the only national dex that has been completed has been the one for Kanto, but Kris wanted to change that.
Throughout their journey Kris caught any Pokemon she could find and would send them to Elm and Oak. She already had the team she wanted to battle with and after she heard of the legend of the burnt tower her next Goal was obvious, to capture the legendary dogs.
When she reached the burnt tower she called her two friends, Ethan had Cyndaquil evolve into a Quilava and had barely just earned his 2nd badge and Vincent got enough confidence to start himself a month ago he even earned his first badge.
Kris: Hey guys it's good to see we are all doing our best
Vincent: Y-yeah you guys better not count out just because I started later than both of you. I am already well on my way.
Ethan: Alright and when we et I expect a battle, I have new Pokemon to show you, and that surprise hatched so you'll be in for it.
On the day of their Journey Elm asked Ethan to take care of an egg he received, mainly because he had a rare gift for bringing out the full potential of baby Pokemon.
On the other hand, it was no secret that Vincent had a crush on Kris, Ethan also had one not as crazy as Vincent. Heck, they were currently blushing on the screens, she knew but was always playing like she didn't to see how far they would go, and they ford themselves a rivalry for 'the right to ask Kris out.' which was stupid but hey at least they weren't treating her like an object to be won so she never stopped it.
Kris: Well I will be sure to show you guys my Progress right now I have a score to get, see you.
Both Vincent and Ethan raced to say goodbye first but she already hung up.
Kris sighed at her friends and decided to make her way to the burnt tower, on the way she ran into a man with a cape calling himself Eusine, he explained how he was a researcher specifically for the three legendary dogs and wanted to learn more about them by coming to the place they were born in.
Kris was a little annoyed hearing an eccentric man act like he was the next Oak, and the fact that it seed like he was flirting with her didn't help. So she decided to run into the tower before him, Eusine realized what she was doing and tried to stop her.
"Wait, you can't just enter, you don't know what you are doing!"
"Just try and stop the Legendary dogs will be mine," Kris said yelling behind her and opening the doors, before releasing she ran through a hole and fell through.
She fell through multiple floors before landing at the bottom of the tower, as she opened her eyes she saw a dark room but three things were looking at her through the Darkness, it was the legendary beasts Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. It seed like they were sleeping but the sounds of Kris falling made them wake up.
They looked at her and she was almost too stunned to speak before they all jumped out of the tower in one jump. She stayed there until she heard a voice.
"Are you alright down there, I saw the beasts jump out but I had to be sure you were still alive." Eusine appeared holding onto his Jumpluff to make his way down.
"Uhh, yeah I'm fine but the Legendaries Raikou, Entei, and Suicune got away."
"Not necessarily, although Raikou and Entei have escaped, Suicune is running towards the Bell Tower. If we work together we may be able to capture it, what do you say." Eusine held his hand out.
"Fine but I get to Throw the Pokeball," Kris said, grabbing onto Eusine and floating out of the basent floor.
As they got out Kris sent out her Arcanine and Eusine sent out his Electrode, they both started running to get Suicune. Eventually, they found that it was climbing the tower.
Despite their best efforts however they couldn't even hurt it, they barely made it slow down, but it never stopped to counterattack.
They continued running through the tower trying to catch it until Kris got hit with so debris knocking her out and off the tower.
Eusine noticed it but it was too late as she fell down multiple floors hitting the rock bottom of the tower thankfully with the help of her Natu she slowed down enough to survive.
Eusine also jumped down to grab Kris and try to take her back into the tower, but when he got to the top with her in his arms, he saw sothing that truly shocked him.
Ho-Oh or at least its' figure flying away, based on the direction it looked like it was heading to Kanto. Suicune was standing there looking frustrated, seemingly having missed Ho-Oh before they could et, he glared at the two before jumping off in the sa direction.
At that ti Kris finally got up, still injured and groggy but more or less not suffering any permanent damage.
"Hey, you. You're finally awake."
"Where are we?"
"On the highest floor of the tower, and Suicune..."
"I see, well it can't be helped then."
Eusine looked over at the artwork of Ho-Oh, "Do you want to know why I am here, and why the legendary beasts awoke today specifically."
"What do you an?"
"A friend of mine told that they would return, so he advised to try and rebuild the burnt tower, but it seems that they awoke for a different reason, Look."
Eusine pointed and when Kris turned over she saw a statue of Ho-Oh glowing slightly.
"You see Ho-Oh has also awakened and seed to be trying to get sowhere, and its Presence gathered them together again, Suicune must have been hoping to see Ho-Oh since it decided to co here."
As soon as Kris heard those words leave his mouth she got a reality shock of what she was doing, "Did Suicune manage to" Eusine just shook his head.
"Well it seems like I must get going, if I want to catch up to Suicune." before turning to Kris, "I do hope we may be able to et again under better circumstances."
And just like that Kris was left alone to think, she sat down on the roof of the house and started crying.

Kris decides to return to her town and back ho where she locked herself in her room, when Elm heard what happened he called Vincent and Ethan.
When they heard it was about Kris they ran back as soon as they could. They managed to get her out and to Elm so she could explain the situation. She told them everything.
"I'm so Ashad,"
"Hey there's no need to beat yourself up about it, everyone fails to catch a Pokemon once or twice, I failed one on the way here," Vincent tried to cheer her up.
"Uh uhm, I'm not upset about failing to catch Suicune, I'm upset because I wasn't able to understand Suicune."
"Suicune just wanted to be able to see Ho-Oh again, and all I did was attack him recklessly, and because of that he missed his master, the one that he has been waiting for, I should have noticed, I should have taken Suicune's feelings into consideration." Kris started crying again and Ethen handed her a tissue.
"Are you okay, ntally I an, you seem like you aren't able to focus," Ethan asked, Vincent was about to yell at him before Kris answered.
"Yeah I haven't been able to catch the weakest Pokemon since then, that's part of the reason I ca back."
Vincent and Ethan looked at each other and nodded in understanding, Ethen spoke up, "So starting your training back from square one, seems like fun I think I'll join you."
"What, no you guys shouldn't need to make it to the league."
Vincent walked up, "It's fine there's always next year, and besides we just started it's not like we are halfway done and giving up, co on it will be fun for all of us to train together."
"Yeah and besides one more year of training, we'll beat all the Gyms easily, and you'll be strong enough to et Suicune again."
Kris looked down at her hands then he Pokeballs and smiled, "Alright then back at square one, I'll beco strong then I'll et and apologize to Suicune."
