The shrill scream echoed across the battlefield, crawling into the ears of every Pokémon present and sending an involuntary chill down their spines.
Leavanny's slender body writhed in Kael's grip, engulfed in flas, twisting and warping as it burned.
Though it felt like an eternity—
In reality, less than five seconds had passed since the battle began.
As the team's designated assassin, Leavanny had always been frighteningly fast.
In under a second, it had closed the distance to Kael, launching a rapid sequence of attacks built entirely on speed, precision, and mobility.
Those attacks had taken almost no ti at all.
The only mont that truly cost Kael anything was the instant he reached out and seized Leavanny mid-movent.
Even then, the explosive strength packed into his newly evolved body drastically shortened that mont.
Snapping the silk.
Igniting the flas.
Executing Fire Punch—
Each of those actions required nothing more than a thought.
To the other Pokémon watching, it looked as if Kael had simply reached out once—
—and the fight had ended.
Only now, as Leavanny sank into a blazing inferno, did the rest of the nightmare squad's support finally arrive.
THUD. THUD. THUD.
Heavy footsteps shook the ground.
A furious roar followed, saturated with raw sound pressure.
Nidoking charged.
Its massive body thundered forward like a living siege engine, purple armor gleaming as it barreled across the terrain with unstoppable montum.
Infected by the Nightmare Seed, Nidoking's mind was already fractured—but under the crushing killing intent Kael had released monts earlier, whatever restraint remained completely collapsed.
It didn't care about its burning teammate.
It didn't even see Leavanny anymore.
Its bloodshot eyes locked onto Kael alone, madness boiling within them.
One thought dominated its consciousness:
Crush him.
White light flared violently across Nidoking's armored arm as energy condensed at terrifying speed.
"gaton Punch!"
It's already a monstrous charge that amplified the attack further, stacking raw montum atop brute force.
Kael didn't move.
He didn't dodge.
Didn't brace.
He simply stood there.
Having just evolved, much of his own body still felt unfamiliar. He hadn't had ti to fully asure how far his strength had risen.
But there was one thing he knew without doubt—
Even before evolving, Kael's physical power had already been monstrous.
Now?
It felt limitless.
So much strength surged through him that it bordered on violent excess, an overwhelming urge to tear the ground apart just to release it.
Earlier, he'd deliberately restrained himself keeping Leavanny alive long enough to let it feel fear.
But now—
Facing a Pokémon renowned for raw power even in the Pokémon world—
Kael decided it was ti to let go.
He casually flung Leavanny's lifeless, charred corpse aside.
Excitent burned in his crimson eyes.
He exhaled deeply.
The breath ca out long and forceful, as a beast's inhale before a kill, whipping up violent winds that blasted dust into the air.
His right arm drew back.
Rock-solid muscle stacked and compressed, steel-hard and terrifyingly precise. Power surged through his veins, blood roaring so hot that thin white steam curled off his dark-violet skin.
His right leg stepped back to anchor his stance.
CRACK.
The ground beneath his foot split, fractures spider-webbing outward.
Bare back muscles rolled and rose, shoulder blades bulking like layered armor forged from flesh.
By the ti Nidoking reached him—
The glowing gaton Punch was already descending.
Kael's heart pounded.
Heat surged.
A grin crept onto his face.
He aid his fist straight at the incoming blow.
Power gathered.
Muscles locked.
And—
He punched.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Invisible pressure barriers shattered as the air scread under the strain. Condensed vapor clouds spiraled violently around Kael's fist, forming layered sonic bursts from the sheer force behind the strike.
Then—
Impact.
The world froze.
The collision detonated like a missile strike, shockwaves ripping outward in expanding rings.
Kael's dark-violet arm bulged violently as unimaginable power erupted from it.
The blinding white energy of gaton Punch shattered on contact, exploding into scattered fragnts of light.
Nidoking's thick arm armor cracked—
Then collapsed.
Shell.
Muscle.
Bone.
All pulverized.
The limb twisted grotesquely, reduced to a mangled ruin incapable of bearing weight.
Nidoking howled.
Blood sprayed violently across its body.
Its massive, tank-like fra was launched backward, torn from the ground by a single punch, crashing through the air as a rain of crimson scattered behind it.
But Kael wasn't finished.
His leg detonated against the ground, blasting a crater inward.
THUD.
He vanished.
A heartbeat later—
Kael appeared above Nidoking mid-air, overtaking it with pure physical force.
His hands clasped together. Fingers interlocked.
Both arms rose overhead like a descending warhamr.
Then—
He brought them down.
WHOOSH—
The air shrieked as it split apart, shattered wind scattering in violent spirals.
The blow landed cleanly on Nidoking's armored skull.
CRACK.
A sound so sharp and final it froze the battlefield.
Bone fragnts exploded outward.
Blood and matter splashed through the air.
The massive body dropped—
—and another corpse was born.
