Like a colossal black serpent lurking within a bottomless swamp, a massive pitch-black tentacle burst from the shadows of the ruins, slamming down with terrifying force onto the spot Kael had occupied just monts earlier.
The concrete street caved in instantly, leaving behind a deep, shattered crater.
"What the hell is that?"
Shock flickered through Kael's crimson eyes as he turned toward the source of the attack.
Within the swirling dust and debris, a gigantic black silhouette slowly erged.
Its body was shaped like an enormous sphere of darkness.
Two tree-trunk-thick legs supported its weight, cracking the ground beneath them with every subtle shift.
A grotesque mouth covered nearly three-quarters of its body, stretched wide in a perpetual grin. Black-and-yellow fangs jutted outward, and within its cavernous maw glimred an eerie blue light, as if the throat itself led to another world entirely.
The "tentacle" that had just attacked Kael was revealed to be one of two massive, spike-lined, pincer-like tongues, slithering and swaying like venomous serpents.
Compared to its body, its head was absurdly small.
Bright blue eyes glowed with unrestrained malice.
Four pairs of demonic horns curled inward, forming ring-like structures that radiated pure brutality.
"…Guzzlord?"
Kael's pupils contracted sharply.
This wasn't fear born of instinct.
It was recognition.

Ultra Beasts were creatures introduced during the Sun and Moon era, monsters originating from the Ultra Space, entirely alien to the Pokémon world.
They possessed terrifying power, capable of effortlessly slaughtering humans and Pokémon alike.
Because of this, the Pokémon League classified them among the ranks of legendary-level threats.
Most Ultra Beasts were defined by overwhelming destructive urges, rampaging without reason, and annihilating everything in their path.
Even at humanity's peak, dealing with them required massive mobilizations of elite Trainers.
And even then, those were usually just stragglers.
The true Ultra Wormholes were typically guarded by legendary Pokémon themselves, until the rifts could be sealed.
And now—
standing before Kael—
Was one of the most infamous among them.
The devouring tyrant.
The demon lord of gluttony.
Guzzlord.
A creature said to consu everything in existence.
Land.
Mountains.
Rivers.
Nothing escaped its endless hunger.
Though its authority didn't match that of traditional legendary Pokémon, in terms of pure destructive capability, Guzzlord ranked firmly among the upper tiers of god-level threats.
Kael was terrified.
He trusted his strength.
He trusted the power he had gained after evolving into Machoke.
But standing before an entity that could rival legendary Pokémon—

Kael wasn't stupid.
He wasn't so classic shonen protagonist who charged headfirst into impossible battles.

He'd escape.

A strange, low-frequency hum rippled outward from its body.

Hundreds of glowing crimson eyes abruptly opened in the surrounding void, hovering in midair around Guzzlord.
A suffocating pressure slamd down on the battlefield.

The tension in his muscles collapsed.
A wave of primal fear seized his heart.

Kael knew what this ant.

Was a victory.
Kael stared at the massive, twisted silhouette ahead.
A cold dread settled deep in his chest.
This Guzzlord had arrived in this world decades ago, long before Kael ever appeared.
And with its comparatively weak ntal defenses, it hadn't resisted the Nightmare Seed even for a mont.
Now it was nothing more than a living weapon.
A slaughter engine.
It still devoured endlessly, just as it always had—
But when faced with living prey, it now delighted in cruelty.
It would tornt.
Crush.
Break.
Only then would it eat.

gazing upon Kael's fresh, powerful body—
Guzzlord intended to savor every second.
