Pokemon: Rising From The Dark Chapter 209: Attack of Scolipede

It may be because of so unknown force that Aoki spent so many days searching for a Scolipede but never found it.

Just as he was about to give up, it appeared right in front of him.

Scolipede, a Bug- and Poison-type Pokémon, is most likely to appear in dense forests with dark and damp soil. Aoki had been paying close attention to these areas, yet he encountered Scolipede purely by chance.

Aoki's eyes narrowed slightly. This Scolipede had reached level 40, with a green-tier potential, clearly eting the requirents for the Hunter's Guild mission.

But a level 40 Scolipede was already an elite-tier Pokémon.

Aoki's Pokémon had fought so level 42 or 43 Pokémon before, but this was still a formidable opponent.

Standing at 2.5 ters, Scolipede was the largest Pokémon in Aoki's current vicinity.

"Funny how I've been looking for you for days with no luck, and now you show up just as I was about to give up. Well, better late than never," Aoki smirked.

Scolipede obviously didn't understand his words.

But when it saw Skorupi stepping forward, its instincts flared up. As a ruler of the wild, it perceived the action as a challenge.

With an angry roar, it charged forward.

"The prey is coming!" Aoki's eyes flashed."Slowking, Trick Room!"

"Honchkrow, Tailwind!"

"Sneasel, Ice Claw, stop its charge!"

"Haunter, consecutive Shadow Balls!"

"Skorupi, Taunt! Then hold it off!"

Five Pokémon against one—despite Scolipede's level advantage, Slowking was only one level below it. Though the gap in strength was clear, it wasn't an overwhelming difference.

Honchkrow reacted the fastest. As soon as Aoki gave the command, it used Tailwind, boosting the speed of all allied Pokémon.

Although Honchkrow no longer had Prankster, its Tailwind was still activated with incredible speed.

Slowking's eyes shimred as Trick Room warped the battlefield, reversing speed advantages.

Sneasel, now enhanced by Tailwind, raised its arms and conjured four sharp ice shards in the air at record speed. A few days ago, Sneasel could only summon three icicles, but with its improved Ice-type affinity, it now controlled four.

The ice shards plumted toward Scolipede.

However, the agile Scolipede twisted its body, narrowly dodging the attack. Even so, its movent was disrupted, slowing it down.

Skorupi imdiately followed with Taunt, and then lunged forward, digging its feet into the ground as it clashed head-on with Scolipede.

Boom!

The impact was imnse!

Scolipede was montarily stunned, unable to bulldoze past Skorupi.

After being Taunted, Scolipede's eyes turned crimson with fury, glaring at Skorupi.

It was a battle of brute force!

Despite the ten-level gap, Skorupi held its ground—an incredible feat that surpassed Aoki's expectations.

Haunter took advantage of the standoff, forming multiple Shadow Balls in its hands before hurling them at Scolipede's massive body.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Continuous explosions disrupted Scolipede's balance, forcing it to divide its focus between Skorupi and Haunter's assault.

"Honchkrow, Brave Bird!"

"Slowking, Psychic!"

"Finish this!"

Honchkrow, having waited for the perfect mont, soared high, its wings infused with both Flying- and Dark-type energy.

The massive bird dived like a predator, striking Scolipede with a devastating Brave Bird before swiftly retreating out of range.

At the sa ti, Slowking's eyes glowed ominously.

A sphere of dark Psychic energy ford above Scolipede, slamming into it with brutal force.

Under the combined assault, Scolipede's body convulsed in pain.

"Haunter, Hypnosis!"

"Slowking, Yawn!"

While Scolipede reeled, Haunter's Hypnosis and Slowking's Yawn combined, drowning it in overwhelming drowsiness.

Scolipede's eyes fluttered as its massive body collapsed.

It hadn't even launched a single attack before it was subdued.

Aoki wasted no ti. He tossed a Pokéball, capturing Scolipede with ease.

"With this, the mission is complete." Aoki smirked, gripping the Pokéball containing Scolipede.
