Hunger twisted its stomach violently. It had never eaten a proper al since birth, and now stomach acid churned, saliva flooding its mouth.

The sound of swallowing echoed loudly in the silent cave.
No one laughed. Bagon didn't even notice, its gaze locked onto the Pokeblocks in Aoki's hand.
"Go ahead, eat." Aoki nudged them closer.
Finally understanding, Bagon snatched both blocks, clutching them tightly.
Then, with surprising care, it nibbled at one, barely scraping off crumbs—as if afraid to finish it too quickly.
Its eyes widened instantly, glowing like twin lanterns in the dark cave.
It stared at the two blocks—one whole, the other slightly chipped—hesitating for a long mont before biting into the damaged one again, chewing slowly as if savoring a delicacy.
The remaining one-and-a-half blocks were squeezed tightly in its claws.

Last ti, it had devoured its eggshell all at once—then starved for days after. It had learned. Now, it saved every scrap, hoarding for the next unbearable hunger.

Aoki watched silently, his nose stinging.
Every small movent revealed Bagon's struggle. Even starving, it rationed, terrified of being left with nothing.
The Pokemon behind Aoki shifted uncomfortably. They realized how fortunate they were to have him.
But Bagon's behavior shattered Mismagius. Crimson eyes glistening, it wept—realizing how easy its own life had been.
It opened its subspace, pulling out a hidden stash of Pokeblocks, and offered them to Bagon.
Bagon glanced at Mismagius, then the pile of unfamiliar but delicious-slling blocks. It grabbed them all at once, though its tiny claws couldn't hold everything.
Then it suddenly stood, heaving up a rock it had been sitting on.
Beneath was a shallow pit lined with moss—its ergency stash.
Gently, it placed all the Pokeblocks inside, then covered the rock again with a relieved sigh.
The other Pokemon winced.
Bagon's life had been too harsh.
But no more. Now that Aoki had found it, things would change.
Bagon would grow up safe, well-fed—just like them.
Aoki didn't interfere, letting it pat the rock contentedly. Even now, Bagon hadn't touched the moss—its last resort.
