Now reading: Chapter 801 - 1056 - League declares war from Pokemon: Rising From The Dark, a Action novel by Cicutae.

The Riolu Pokémon Egg was successfully restored to life.

If one were to use psychic powers to perceive it, they could feel the imnse Aura energy surrounding the egg at this mont.

It must be said that misfortune often leads to good fortune, and good fortune often leads to misfortune.

Good and bad go hand in hand.

For so unknown reason, this Riolu Pokémon Egg had been damaged.

But it t soone like Aoki, who possessed the ability to repair it.

Had it been purchased by anyone else, even the League officials might not have found a way to restore it.

Yet its luck was truly remarkable, as it encountered soone as resourceful as Aoki.

He managed to save it.

And now, after enduring the storm, a rainbow had appeared.

The material produced this ti, rich in Aura energy, surged wildly into the egg through its damaged surface.

The hatching ti of the Pokémon Egg was decreasing rapidly.

What was originally estimated to take a year had now shortened to re minutes, then extended slightly to eleven months.

And with the continuous infusion of Aura, this ti continued to diminish.

Not only that, but under the scanning of the system, the color representing Riolu's potential within the egg also shifted.

Originally, its dark blue potential was already impressive for a Pokémon Egg.

But now, the Aura seed to be subtly enhancing Riolu's innate abilities, much to Aoki's delight.

His efforts had not been in vain.

Now, all that remained was to wait for Riolu to hatch.

Aoki instructed Gengar to return the Pokémon Egg to the shadows.

According to the system's analysis, even as the Aura was being absorbed, the egg would not hatch imdiately—it still required so ti to stabilize.

Likely within a week or so.

After dealing with the Riolu Pokémon Egg, Aoki collapsed onto his bed and fell into a deep sleep.

Ti passed swiftly.

Aoki was roused by a sharp knock on his door.

Bleary-eyed, he opened it to find Steven and Phoebe, already prepared to depart.

They inford him that the ship had arrived in Slateport City and urged him to gather his belongings for disembarkation.

Upon hearing this, Aoki forced himself to shake off his exhaustion.

After freshening up briefly, he and Steven stepped off the ship.

At the exit, they were t by Drake and Officer Jenny, who had been waiting for them.

For so reason, Aoki found himself avoiding Officer Jenny's gaze.

There was sothing unsettling about the way she looked at him—an odd glint in her eyes.

How could he describe it?

It was almost as if...

She was sizing him up like a prospective son-in-law?

Yes!

That was exactly the impression he got, and it made him deeply uncomfortable.

Steven and Phoebe stifled laughter beside him.

"Let's go," Drake said, his expression amused as he clapped Aoki on the shoulder. "President Adams is already waiting at the temporary conference center in Slateport."

Seeing Drake's smirk, Aoki could only sigh and nod.

No doubt, this disrespectful Elite Four mber was also mocking him.

The five of them didn't summon any Flying-type Pokémon for transport.

Instead, they boarded a police vehicle arranged by the Jenny family and sped toward the conference center, which stood adjacent to the Pokémon Center.

By the ti they arrived, the conference room was packed.

High-ranking officials and executives from various League branches had gathered here.

President Adams sat at the head of the long table, which was nearly full—only a few seats remained empty.

Around the periter of the room, additional chairs had been set up, all occupied.

Young and old, familiar faces and strangers, known figures and unknowns—all were present.

If soone were to attack this place now, the entire Hoenn League would likely collapse in an instant.

Of course, doing so would require both imnse strength and suicidal courage.

The arrival of Drake and his group imdiately drew everyone's attention.

Clap clap clap—

As Adams began applauding, the rest of the room followed suit.

There was no denying that what Drake and Aoki had accomplished deserved recognition.

Steven and Phoebe exchanged glances, their faces flushing slightly.

After all, they had been the ones rescued—this applause made them feel sowhat embarrassed.

Drake, however, smiled confidently and took the seat to Adams' right, while Officer Jenny settled into her own assigned spot.

Aoki, Steven, and Phoebe moved toward the remaining chairs.

These were their designated positions.

"Aoki," Adams suddenly called out. "Sit here for now."

Aoki blinked in surprise.

Here?

Wasn't this seat reserved for an Investigator?

But when he glanced around, he noticed the other three Chief Investigators were already present.

That couldn't be the issue.

His eyes flicked toward Joseph, Jenny, and the three Chief Investigators of the Stone family—none of them seed displeased.

Steven's cousin, Stone Mumuko, even gave him an encouraging nod, gesturing for him to take the seat.

All eyes were on him.

Steven chuckled and gave him a light push, then sat down beside Phoebe.

Left with no choice, Aoki reluctantly took the seat at the conference table.

At this mont, his ntor sat in a position above him, grinning so widely his face resembled a blooming sunflower.

So proud!

Ahem.

"Alright," Adams said, clearing his throat. "Let's begin the eting."

With that, the League conference officially comnced.

The primary topic of discussion was the three major factions—Team Magma, Team Aqua, and the Hunter's Guild—and how the Hoenn League should respond to their recent actions.

This ti, the Hunter's Guild had allied with Team Magma and Team Aqua to deliver a devastating blow to the League.

This could not be allowed to stand.

An overwhelming majority—roughly 80% of those present—supported imdiate retaliation.

They needed to strike back hard enough to leave these groups wounded and terrified.

At such a critical juncture, dissent was minimal. Those who opposed simply abstained.

"Then it's settled," Adams declared solemnly. "The League will officially enter a state of warti readiness. Our first target is the Hunter's Guild! Any mbers encountered may be apprehended on sight without prior authorization. If they resist…" His voice turned icy. "…show no rcy. Eliminate them imdiately."

Eliminate on sight!

It was astounding that a peacekeeping organization like the League would issue such an order.

But Wattson's injuries had clearly ignited fury within Adams and the League's executives.

The Elite Four represented the League's prestige. To have one of them incapacitated through underhanded ans—and still unconscious—was an unforgivable insult.

If the League did not retaliate decisively now, its authority would crumble.

"As for Team Magma and Team Aqua," Adams continued, "if you encounter their mbers, prioritize capture."

No kill order was issued for these two groups.

After all, making an example of one faction to intimidate the others was the most efficient approach. A full-scale war against all three would strain even the League's resources.

"Aoki!" Adams called once more.
