"Charleon, use Flathrower! Blastoise, use Water Gun!"

Kai focused intently as he issued the commands. In response, streams of fire and water erupted from the mouths of the two Pokémon, heading straight for their targets.

On the other side of the battlefield, Aya and the Samurai Trainer called out their moves simultaneously.

"Butterfree, use Stun Spore!" shouted the Samurai Trainer.

"Venomoth, use Stun Spore!" Aya commanded.

!?

Both trainers realized at once that they had given identical commands to their Pokémon.

Their eyes t briefly in mutual frustration before Aya looked away, her lips twitching slightly.

It was no surprise, really. Since they didn't know each other beforehand, they hadn't coordinated their strategies.

Naturally, there was no synergy between them. Moreover, Butterfree and Venomoth are both adept at moves like Poison Powder, Stun Spore, and Sleep Powder. The overlap was almost inevitable in battle.

The shimring cloud of Stun Spore spread through the air but was quickly dispersed by the opposing flas and water jets.

Butterfree and Venomoth flitted upward, dodging the attacks with practised agility.

Aya wasted no ti. "Venomoth, use Psybeam!" she ordered.

A beam of eerie, multicoloured light struck Blastoise, dealing significant damage and confusion. Blastoise staggered in place, struggling against the ntal effects.

Before Aya could celebrate, Butterfree's Confusion attack also hit Blastoise. While it caused additional damage, it inadvertently snapped Blastoise out of its confusion.

Aya clenched her fists in frustration. "Hey!" she yelled at the Samurai Trainer. "Do you even know how to cooperate? Stop ssing things up!"

The Samurai Trainer winced but said nothing, realizing his mistake.

Aya sighed and recomposed herself. "Listen," she said sharply, "let's focus on our own targets from now on. No more blunders like that!"

The two trainers grudgingly adjusted their tactics, each focusing on their respective opponents.

However, by this point, Charleon and Blastoise had already gained the upper hand.

Kai, unfazed by distractions, maintained complete control over the battle. Even Chloe, who usually found it hard to resist chiming in, stood quietly behind him, careful not to disrupt his concentration.

The clash raged on. Flas and water jets filled the air as Butterfree and Venomoth darted nimbly, avoiding so attacks but taking significant damage.

At one point, the combined heat and water created a swirling steam effect that briefly obscured the battlefield.

Butterfree, montarily blinded by the steam, was struck by Charleon's Flathrower. Before it could recover, Blastoise's Water Gun hit it directly, generating a burst of steam upon impact. The dual assault inflicted critical damage, and Butterfree collapsed, unconscious.

Kai nodded approvingly. If his guess was right, the Samurai Trainer's Butterfree had evolved from a Caterpie in the Viridian Forest.

However, it lacked experience and advanced techniques, likely due to limited exposure to challenging battles.

In contrast, Aya and her well-trained Venomoth were proving to be a tougher challenge.

"Blastoise, retreat; let Charleon fight alone", Kai ordered Blastoise.

With only one opponent remaining, Kai decided to let Charleon take the lead, hoping this intense battle could be the catalyst for its long-awaited evolution into Charizard.

After all, Charleon had undergone rigorous training, and Kai was confident it was ready to evolve.

Venomoth responded with a powerful Silver Wind, its wings glowing brightly as it struck Charleon. The attack sent Charleon stumbling backwards, wincing from the impact.

Kai watched intently as his Pokémon struggled. Taking a deep breath, he called out, his voice calm and resolute, "Charleon, you've trained hard for this mont. Show them your true strength."

Charleon turned to Kai, its determination blazing in its eyes. Despite the intense battle, Kai's trust in it fueled its fighting spirit.

Flas flared brighter at the tip of its tail, and its body began to glow with an intense light.

Venomoth's Silver Wind surged toward it again, but Charleon roared, breaking through the attack as its form shifted and expanded.

"CHARRRRRRRRR!!!!!"

When the light faded, a majestic Charizard stood in its place, its wings stretching wide and flas burning fiercely.

Kai stared in awe, then grinned. "Finally, he evolved, Charizard; let's finish this! Use Dragon Rage!"

Charizard unleashed a swirling vortex of fiery energy, striking Venomoth with devastating force.

Venomoth attempted to retaliate with Psybeam, but Charizard's Dragon Rage overwheld it completely. The assault left Venomoth unconscious, ending the battle.

Kai exhaled in relief, his confidence bolstered by Charizard's evolution.

Aya and the Samurai Trainer exchanged glances, clearly frustrated by their defeat. However, they refused to give up, sending out their next Pokémon.

Kai groaned. "You're really planning to keep this up?"

Before they could respond, the bushes nearby rustled. A round, pink figure waddled out, catching everyone's attention.

"Jigg-lee-ee-puff!"

The Pokémon's large, round eyes and chubby face gave it an adorable appearance.

Kai's eyes narrowed. "Jigglypuff!?"

His heart sank as he noticed the microphone-like object clutched in its hand.

It really was that Jigglypuff the infamous "Pink nace."

Jigglypuff scanned the area and, seeing the group's attention on it decided this was the perfect opportunity for a concert.

"Oh no," Kai said urgently. "Don't let it sing!"

Aya and the Samurai Trainer, unfamiliar with Jigglypuff's antics, looked puzzled.

"Is that a wild Jigglypuff?" Aya asked, pulling out a Poké Ball. "It's so cute!"

Jigglypuff, undeterred by their reactions, raised its microphone and began to sing.

"Jigglypuff, jiggly-y-y puff…"

The soft lody filled the air, reaching the ears of everyone present humans and Pokémon alike. Their eyelids grew heavy as the song lulled them into a deep sleep.

When Jigglypuff finished, it paused, expecting applause. Seeing everyone fast asleep, it puffed up angrily.

"Jiggly! Puff, puff!!"

Leaping onto Aya's chest, it pulled out a marker hidden in its microphone and began drawing on everyone's faces in frustration.

By the ti Kai woke up the next morning, the chilly air stung his skin. Looking around, he saw Pokémon and trainers alike slowly stirring, their faces covered in Jigglypuff's doodles.

He sighed, shaking his head. He didn't need to check to know that he'd been marked as well.

"Pink nace strikes again…" he muttered ruefully.
