The audience turned their attention to the field, where Andrew sent out a Pidgeot while Kai released his Charizard.

These two Pokémon presented an interesting matchup: Pidgeot, a Normal and Flying-type, versus Charizard, a Fire and Flying-type. With no type of advantages between them, Andrew sighed in relief.

Though he was determined to win the Indigo League, he knew Kai would be a formidable opponent.

Starting at a disadvantage in the first match would only make victory more challenging.

Kai, anwhile, observed Pidgeot carefully. The evolved form of Pidgeotto, Pidgeot was larger and more imposing, with a wider wingspan and a dazzling feather crest atop its head.

Its powerful chest muscles hinted at imnse strength; even a light flap of its wings could create a gust of wind, while a full-force flap could bend large trees.

As the two trainers prepared for battle, Charizard displayed its fiery spirit before the match even began.

The Pokémon glared at Pidgeot, its nostrils flaring with hot air, and its copper bell-like eyes burning with intensity. This was no ordinary stare it was a technique Charizard had honed through countless face-offs with Ash's own Charizard during training sessions.

Captured by the stadium's caras, Charizard's ferocious expression was broadcast on the big screen, prompting laughter from the audience.

The host chuckled. "Well, it seems Kai's Charizard is eager to start this battle! Look at those eyes Pidgeot had better stay on its guard!"

Unlike the amused crowd, Pidgeot wasn't laughing. Staring into Charizard's eyes made it nervous, and it instinctively looked away.

When the clock struck 10, the referee signalled the start of the match. The final battle of the Indigo League was officially underway!

Kai's Charizard wasted no ti, unleashing a stream of flas at Pidgeot without waiting for instructions. Startled, Andrew called out, "Pidgeot, use Quick Attack!"

Pidgeot darted around the fire with blinding speed, circling behind Charizard to counterattack. But as it closed in, Charizard turned its head sharply and gave a nacing grin.

"Charizard, use Slash!"

Kai's command ca just in ti. Charizard raised a claw and struck Pidgeot mid-charge. Both Pokémon took hits, Pidgeot from the Slash and Charizard from the Quick Attack, but they quickly regained their positions, ready to continue the aerial duel.

The host turned to Lance, the Dragon Master and guest comntator. "Mr. Lance, who do you think has the upper hand in this match?"

Lance smiled diplomatically. "Both Pokémon are strong competitors. The winner will depend on their endurance and strategy moving forward."

The host smirked inwardly at Lance's neutral response, realizing he wouldn't be baited into showing bias. Instead, the caras shifted focus back to the battle.

The two Pokémon engaged in a breathtaking aerial contest, zooming across the arena in high-speed manoeuvres.

Pidgeot unleashed Wing Attacks, Feather Dances, and Whirlwinds, forcing Charizard to adapt and counter with Flathrower, Dragon Rage, and Air Slash.

The intense back-and-forth had the audience glued to the action, their eyes following every twist and turn on the big screen.

But Kai eventually seized an opportunity. When Pidgeot swooped in for another attack, Kai shouted, "Charizard, now! Use Fire Fang!"

Charizard lunged forward, its fangs ignited in flas, and bit down on Pidgeot with precision.

"KREEEEEEEEEHHH!!"

Pidgeot let out a cry of pain before plumting to the ground and fainting.

The audience erupted in cheers as the referee declared Charizard the winner of the first match.

Andrew recalled his fallen Pidgeot and nodded solemnly. Losing the first round was a setback, but he had prepared for this. Without hesitation, he released his next Pokémon.

"Co out, Rhyhorn!"

A sturdy, armour-plated Rhyhorn appeared, pawing at the ground with determination. Its Rock and Ground typing would give it an advantage against Charizard. Recognizing this, Kai quickly returned Charizard to its Poké Ball.

After a mont of consideration, Kai chose his next Pokémon.

"Charizard, great job! Take a rest. Now, Gyarados, I choose you!"

"ROOOOOAAARRRGHHH!!!"

Gyarados erged from its Poké Ball with an intimidating roar, its blood-red eyes locking onto Rhyhorn.

"Hoooooooooooo!!!"

The audience erupted into louder cheers, hyped by the dramatic entrance.

Rhyhorn, however, began to fidget nervously under Gyarados's piercing gaze. Andrew, noticing this, tried to calm his Pokémon.

The host joked, "It seems Kai's Pokémon all share one thing in common those intimidating eyes! Could this be his secret strategy?"

Lance smirked. "Perhaps Kai's developing a new battle style bone centred around psychological pressure."

The audience laughed, but their attention quickly returned to the battlefield, where Gyarados and Rhyhorn were about to clash in the second round of this thrilling final match.
