lody gasped in shock, her emotions a mix of excitent and anxiety. She was relieved that at such a critical mont, Lugia had finally appeared and had even taken action to save them.
However, what worried her was whether everything would truly unfold as the prophecy described.
Staring at the massive, majestic Pokémon before them, Ash murmured in disbelief, "This... is the Guardian of the Sea, Lugia?"
As one of the rarest Legendary Pokémon, Lugia usually remained asleep in the depths of the ocean trenches. It was said that a single flap of its wings could stir a storm lasting forty days and nights.
Yet, despite its overwhelming power, it was also known to calm the raging seas a force capable of both destruction and protection.
Because of this, whenever fierce storms arose, people always wondered whether Lugia had a hand in them.
But for the group, whatever the outco, just witnessing this legendary Pokémon in person was already beyond imagination.
The storm-filled sky crackled with electricity as Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno who had montarily paused their in-fighting, now shifted their focus toward the new intruder.
"GYAROOOO!!" (Calm down, Motherfu*kers)
High above, Lugia let out a deep, resonating cry, a voice both powerful and sorrowful, echoing through the heavens. It was clear Lugia had not co to fight but to end the battle.
However, the three Legendary Birds were unfazed. They neither responded nor showed any intention of stopping.
For a brief mont, the battlefield was eerily silent But in reality, a clash of overwhelming pressure had already begun.
Tiny sparks flickered through the air as the invisible battle of wills raged.
Gulp.
Tracey swallowed nervously, sensing the intense standoff.
Then, Zapdos suddenly attacked.
With a deafening cry, the Thunder Guardian flapped its wings and unleashed a massive bolt of lightning toward Lugia!
The mont it struck, Moltres and Articuno followed suit, attacking simultaneously with flas and ice.
Lugia twisted its body, soaring swiftly into the air to dodge the attacks. As fire, ice, and lightning collided, a massive explosion shook the skies.
Even as Lugia evaded, it counterattacked with bursts of energy But no matter how strong it was, it was still one against three.
Slowking, standing at the shrine, watched the battle with a solemn expression before letting out a heavy sigh. "The Guardian of the Sea only appears when the world is in peril... But even it cannot stop the impending destruction."
Hearing this, Kai narrowed his eyes. He remained silent for a mont, deep in thought and then, with a decisive nod, he finally spoke.
"We can't wait any longer. Ash, we need to split up."
Ash looked at him in surprise. "Split up? What do you an?"
Kai turned toward him, eyes sharp with determination. "You go to Ice Island and retrieve the last treasure. If the prophecy is true, and lody's flute really has the power to calm their rage, then we have to make that happen."
Ash hesitated, glancing back at the battle unfolding above. "But what about you? Aren't you coming with ?"
Kai smirked slightly and reached for his belt."No. I'm staying here. If Lugia is struggling, then I'll step in and help. I'll buy you as much ti as I can."
lody imdiately objected. "That's crazy! Do you even know what you're saying!? Normal Pokémon can't fight them!"
Kai simply chuckled. "Normal Pokémon? Who said I was using normal Pokémon?"
His grip tightened around his ultra Balls.
His Pokémon had been waiting long enough, Now, it was ti to let them loose.
He turned back to Ash. "Hurry. We don't have ti to waste."
Ash clenched his fists and then nodded firmly. "Got it! I'll be back as soon as I can!"
He flipped his cap backwards, grabbed Pikachu, and ran off toward Ice Island.
As soon as Ash disappeared into the distance, Kai tossed three ultra Balls into the air.
"Co out—my Legendary Birds!"
"SCREEEEE!!"(It's showti)
"ZZZRAAK!!"(Did i hear a bell?)
"KYUUU!!"(Finally!!)
WHOOSH!
Three brilliant flashes of blue light erupted in the sky and in the next instant, Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno erged.
Misty gasped in shock. "What!? Moltres!? Zapdos!? Articuno!?"
Tracey's jaw dropped open. "Wait… are you telling … Kai had all three of them this entire ti!?!"
Even Ash, who had barely gotten far, turned back in disbelief, His eyes widened as he stared at the Legendary trio soaring above. "Wait… Kai has all three Legendary Birds!?!"
His breath caught in his throat.
When?
How?!
Just how strong had Kai beco…?
Among everyone, the one most shocked was lody.
To the people of Shamouti Island, the Three Legendary Birds were sacred. She couldn't believe her eyes.
"He's just… a normal person. How could he possibly have all three of them…?"
Her hands trembled slightly as she turned to look at Kai.
Who… is this man?
Kai didn't waste a second. He pointed straight ahead and shouted, "Moltres! Articuno! Zapdos! Attack!"
"KRAAAAH!!"
"ZAAAP-KAW!!"
"KYUUUUUU!!"
The three birds let out deafening cries, flapping their wings as they charged forward.
BOOM!
The battlefield erupted into pure chaos Now, six Legendary Pokémon were clashing in the sky.
lody grabbed Kai's sleeve in alarm. "Wait! STOP! If they fight even harder, won't that just make things worse!?"
Kai turned toward her, his gaze calm and unwavering. "We have no choice. If we don't do sothing, Lugia will lose and the world will be dood anyway. We have to end this as quickly as possible, even if it ans taking a risk."
lody still looked uneasy, "But—!"
Kai cut her off with a confident smile.
"Don't worry, Nature always finds a way to recover."
