-----------------

The Bellsprout clan was evidently not a species that enjoyed collecting treasures. Instead, their craving for food was overwhelmingly strong.

Inside their nest, aside from the vast stockpile of food, there were very few valuable items.

If one excluded the unexpected gain of the Kricketune and the Pokémon Egg that the female Victreebel was desperately protecting, the most valuable things Sato found at the back of the Victreebel's dwelling were three Leaf Stones.

Judging by their quality, two of them were mid-grade, while the last one was high-grade.

Altogether, their value should fetch over 15 million PokéDollars, a considerable sum for most trainers.

As for the Pokémon Egg in the female Victreebel's embrace, Sato examined it and found that it contained a Bellsprout with an individual value rating as high as 171—a high-potential specin.

Unsurprisingly, this was most likely the offspring of the male and female Victreebel.

The three Leaf Stones were placed in a small puddle at the very center of the space, arranged in a triangular formation at three corners of the puddle.

Perhaps due to the influence of the Leaf Stones, the water in the puddle had turned a vibrant green and radiated a strong life force.

At the sa ti, a beam of bright sunlight stread in from an opening at the top of the space, striking directly at the center of the puddle. Under the sunlight, the water emitted a soft green glow.

The Bellsprout Egg in the female Victreebel's embrace had originally been placed in the center of the puddle.

Judging by the arrangent, it was clear that the purpose was to nurture the developing Bellsprout with the pure Grass-type energy from the Leaf Stones.

Sato found this thod of raising offspring among wild Pokémon quite fascinating. He wasn't sure whether it was effective, but he still made sure to morize the setup carefully.

However, he had no intention of taking the Bellsprout Egg away.

It wasn't that he wasn't interested; he simply didn't want to take it right in front of its parents. He wasn't that heartless.

Judging from the Victreebels' careful arrangent for raising their young, this Bellsprout Egg was likely ant to be the future leader of their clan.

If Sato took it away, this Bellsprout clan would suffer a devastating blow, possibly to the point of being wiped out by other nearby wild Pokémon groups.

This clan had occupied this part of the forest for a long ti, which ant they had their place in the ecosystem.

If they were driven to extinction, it could cause drastic changes in the local wild Pokémon environnt.

At that point, the consequences would go far beyond just this one clan of Bellsprout.

Though the male and female Victreebel were heavily injured, they were Grass-type Pokémon, and so of their subordinates had managed to escape. Their chances of survival were still quite high.

In other words, Sato's actions hadn't caused irreparable damage to the Bellsprout clan—they would likely recover in ti.

In the end, Sato only took the three Leaf Stones.

Before leaving, he also had his Bellossom aid the still-living Pokémon and trainers who had fallen into a deep sleep.

Naturally, he prioritized helping the Pokémon first. Perhaps due to the trauma of their near-death experience, the mont they woke up, they fled in terror.

As for the three civilian trainers, after reviving them, Sato drew them a simple map showing the way out of the danger zone and gave them so food, along with three Weepinbell he had casually captured with regular PokéBalls.

Without paying heed to their desperate pleas, Sato then continued his journey deeper into the untad zones of Viridian Forest.

He had no obligation to these civilian trainers. Helping them escape danger, providing them with a map, food, and even Pokémon—he felt he had already done more than enough.

As for acting as their babysitter? That was out of the question. Whether they could make it out safely depended on their own abilities.

Sato understood exactly why these people had co here. They had ventured into the wilderness of Viridian Forest to seek fortune, so they had to be prepared for the risk of dying in the process.

In truth, if he hadn't saved them, they would already be dead.

After leaving the Victreebel's territory, Sato encountered the areas controlled by a Vileplu and a Fearow.

The Vileplu was easy to deal with—after witnessing Sato's strength, it quickly allowed him to pass.

The Fearow, however, was another story.

With a volatile temper, the Fearow imdiately initiated a fierce battle.

At the ti, the level 41 Fearow led a flock of over a dozen other Fearow and hundreds of Spearow, chasing Sato relentlessly through the sky.

The sheer number of them nearly blotted out the sun, creating an extrely dire situation.

Faced with such overwhelming numbers, even Sato, confident as he was, had no choice but to flee. However, outrunning airborne foes was impossible.

Fortunately, a brilliant idea struck him—he recalled how Ash and Pikachu had escaped from a flock of Spearow.

He had his Shiny Pelipper use Drizzle to summon a massive storm cloud, then had Golbat, Nidorino, and owth—all capable of using Electric-type moves—launch their attacks into the cloud, artificially creating a thunderstorm.

With lightning flashing through the rain-soaked sky, the drenched Fearow and Spearow beca perfect conductors.

A series of powerful chain lightning strikes shot down from the storm cloud, instantly wiping out over half of the pursuing Fearow and Spearow.

Seizing the opportunity, Sato and his Pokémon fled under the cover of the storm, successfully shaking off the enraged flock.

By around 4 PM, he finally reached the outskirts of the Ursaring Forest once again.

Sato still vividly rembered that back then, he had almost been devoured by an Arbok lurking at the edge of the forest. Now that he had returned, it was ti for payback.

Unfortunately, this Arbok turned out to be a sly and cunning creature.

It seed to sense that Sato was not soone to be trifled with, so it stayed hidden underground, refusing to co out.

Despite searching the tall grass where the Arbok usually lurked for over ten minutes, Sato couldn't find any trace of it.

Before leaving, he had his Swampert unleash Earth Power across the area.

After the ground was nearly torn apart by the attack, Sato left without bothering to check if the Arbok had survived.

Continuing into the Ursaring Forest, he quickly encountered so familiar foes.

Like stirring up a hornet's nest, he was imdiately sward by a large number of Beedrill.

However, if he hadn't feared them before, he certainly didn't now.

To deal with the incoming Beedrill, he simply sent out owth and Growlithe to counterattack.

Though the Beedrill had numbers on their side, their levels were too low.

With owth controlling an array of small fireballs using (Hidden Power – Fire) and Growlithe unleashing pillars of fla (Flathrower), the Beedrill suffered heavy losses and were quickly driven back.

Soon after, it seed the Beedrill finally rembered the terror Sato had instilled in them before.

For the rest of his journey through the Ursaring Forest, they kept their distance, too terrified to provoke this formidable enemy again.
