As soon as the two Pokémon entered the battlefield, Sato's Bellossom imdiately began to dance gracefully, executing a Quiver Dance in the center of the stage. anwhile, Daisy's Lopunny began stretching its limbs in place, loosening up its muscles.
Around Lopunny's neck hung a small silver bell. As she bounced around the battlefield, the bell emitted a series of crisp chis that gradually brought a calming silence to the hearts of everyone watching.
"A Lopunny from the Sinnoh region, huh? As expected of Professor Oak's granddaughter. She's got quite the eye—this one's definitely top-tier. What a coincidence too. Lopunny's learned a lot of healing moves... looks like she's the team dic. This really is going to be a battle between dics."
The mont Daisy sent out Lopunny, Sato knew she hadn't been bluffing earlier. A faint glint of blue flashed in his eyes as he used the system's scanning function to assess Lopunny's data, chuckling to himself in his mind.

...….
It was clear from Lopunny's stats and moveset that Daisy's Pokémon wasn't just well-trained—it was exceptional. In addition to her natural aptitude, she was also impressively versatile.
With Healing Wish and Heal Bell in her arsenal, she made an ideal team dic. But judging by her TM moves, she was also a fighting expert—capable of using a wide variety of punching techniques. Her close-combat ability was undoubtedly excellent, more than enough to serve as a heavy-hitter on any team.
Sato also knew that Lopunny's ears were incredibly flexible. Even as a Buneary, she could use her ears like arms to attack. Now that she had evolved into a Lopunny, that ability had only grown stronger.
So when she used punching moves, she could potentially fight like a Machamp with "four arms." Her close-quarters combat potential was terrifying—most Pokémon would likely get flattened by her.
But that wasn't all. She also had solid legwork—Jump Kick and Low Sweep were proof of that. And she could fight from a distance too, using Ice Beam and Thunderbolt for ranged attacks.
Then there was Return. Sato knew Lopunny evolved from Buneary only after developing a deep bond with its Trainer. That ant Daisy and her Lopunny must share a powerful connection.
Return's power was based on a Pokémon's friendship with its Trainer—the stronger the bond, the higher the power, maxing out at 102. As a Normal-type physical move, it was practically tailor-made for Lopunny.
And finally, there were Baton Pass and Agility. The presence of these moves made Sato suspect that Daisy's Lopunny also served as a support booster for her team.
No doubt about it—this Lopunny was extraordinary. She was so impressive that Sato couldn't help but feel a little tempted to catch one himself.
"I think Lopunny can ga Evolve too... and if Daisy's Professor Oak's granddaughter, there's no way she doesn't know about ga Evolution. This Lopunny might even be her future ace."
After carefully analyzing all of Lopunny's data, Sato realized she was no ordinary Pokémon.
While Sato was sizing up Lopunny, Daisy was doing the sa with Bellossom. Thanks to Professor Oak's guidance since childhood, she had developed excellent observational skills.
Even though Daisy didn't have Sato's scanning system, she could tell from observation alone that Bellossom was highly skilled in dance. The move she was performing now was the status move Quiver Dance.
But after close scrutiny, Daisy noticed that Bellossom's Quiver Dance wasn't fully ford yet—there was no visible glow of stat enhancent, which ant the move hadn't successfully activated.
She also noticed that Bellossom had outstanding stamina. Under the bright sunlight, the two flowers on her head were continuously emitting a faint white glow—clearly the result of sustained Synthesis.
"Amazing... This Bellossom has trained Synthesis to the level of muscle mory. And now she's doing the sa with Quiver Dance. Once she masters that too, this Bellossom will beco a truly terrifying Pokémon."
With just a brief mont of observation, Daisy drew her conclusions and ntally raised her alert level toward Sato.
After both sides had finished their quick assessnts, Professor Oak—having also briefly studied Bellossom—announced the start of the battle.
"Jump up, Lopunny—use Bounce!"
The mont Professor Oak gave the signal, Daisy seized the initiative and called out the command.
At her Trainer's voice, Lopunny perked up, her long ears standing tall. With a swift crouch, she launched herself into the air like a long jumper, soaring high before plunging down in Bellossom's direction.
As she descended, her long legs were covered in a layer of blue Flying-type energy, looking like she was wearing glowing cyan boots.
Using the montum of her fall, the power of Bounce was now far greater than its base 80. If Bellossom took a direct hit, she might be knocked out instantly.
"Keep dancing, Bellossom—fire off an Energy Ball barrage!"
Seeing Daisy strike first, Sato remained calm as he issued his command.
Although Bellossom's Quiver Dance hadn't yet matured and took ti to activate, as long as she kept dancing, the boost would co eventually.
Bellossom nodded gently. Her dance, once confined to a single area, began to shift. She now danced across the battlefield, all while continuing her graceful movents.
anwhile, glowing green orbs the size of soccer balls ford rapidly in her hands. One after another, they flew out like cannonballs, each Energy Ball pulsing with powerful energy as it shot toward the falling Lopunny.
Now caught mid-air, Lopunny was in an awkward position. She hadn't landed yet, but five or six Energy Balls were already speeding toward her from different angles.
"Use your ears and hands—smash them away with Fire Punch!"
Seeing Bellossom perform a moving dance while launching rapid-fire Energy Balls like artillery, Daisy paled slightly but quickly regained her composure and shouted her next command.
The next second—
Flas erupted around Lopunny's ears and hands. Listening carefully and scanning all directions, she did sothing astonishing—she launched into a "four-punch flow," using both ears and both fists to swat away every incoming Energy Ball with lightning speed.
Boom! Boom! Boom!!
Explosions from the deflected Energy Balls erupted all around the battlefield, shaking the air. The kids watching—including Ash—stared, wide-eyed, in stunned silence.
