Its size was more than twice that of its peers, and with a level of 43, it was a number that struck fear into Sato's heart. Especially after seeing the vast array of moves the Ursaring had mastered, Sato felt no urge to battle whatsoever.

Without any hesitation, Sato imdiately turned and ran, taking the equally frightened Gloom and Zubat with him.

In fact, besides the many Water-type Pokémon stranded on the drying riverbank, there were also nurous ordinary fish. Sato had originally planned to return all the water Pokémon to the river and then gather the easy-to-obtain food. But with such a terrifying group of uninvited guests arriving, he had no choice but to retreat.

Sato didn't need to think twice to know that these Ursaring had co for the easy feast before them. If he continued helping the remaining water Pokémon, it would be nothing short of provoking these formidable creatures, and at that point, he might beco their next snack.

The Ursaring, who were contentedly feasting on the riverbank, didn't bother to stop Sato from leaving. Their keen sense of sll told them that Sato was covered in a pungent odor. Compared to the sweet, fishy aroma of the easy-to-catch als before them, Sato and his companions were like unpleasant distractions to their appetites.

Seeing those "unappetizing distractions" choose to leave on their own, the Ursaring were more than happy to let them go, too lazy to chase after sothing that would spoil their al.

However, as the leader of the Ursaring pack, the massive Ursaring still did his duty. He kept a close watch on Sato and his Pokémon as they made their escape.

Then, just as they were about to disappear into the forest, a chilling glint appeared in the eyes of the Ursaring leader. Without warning, a massive orange Hyper Beam shot from its gaping jaws.

The orange Hyper Beam had almost no charging ti. It was fired directly from the Ursaring's mouth, showing just how well-practiced the creature was with the move. Its target was clearly Sato and his Pokémon.

Sato, who had been keeping most of his attention on the Ursaring, reacted imdiately when he saw the leader make a move. He dove into the bushes to his left, rolling across the ground just in ti to avoid the devastating attack.

The Hyper Beam unleashed by the Ursaring leader was incredibly powerful. The spot where Sato had been just monts before was blown apart in a massive explosion. Several nearby trees were destroyed, and a huge scar stretched forward for more than ten ters, ending in a crater with a diater of seven or eight ters.

The force of the explosion generated a powerful shockwave that also hit Sato and his Pokémon, sending them flying a short distance before they crashed heavily into the trunk of a large tree.

The Ursaring leader didn't seem to care that Sato had survived. After seeing that his Hyper Beam had obliterated the "pest," he joined the rest of his pack in their feast, happily munching on the fish the mother bears had brought to him.

While the Ursaring were enjoying their al, Sato was hiding inside his treehouse, watching the situation unfold on the riverbank through the infrared cara on his laptop.

"That was close. I almost got killed. That Ursaring must be the ruler of this forest. To be level 43... No wonder Arbok doesn't dare to venture into its territory. The difference in strength is just too vast," Sato muttered, his eyes filled with an unprecedented seriousness as he observed the screen. Beneath that seriousness, however, a strong desire for revenge simred.

He had barely escaped the Ursaring leader's Hyper Beam with his life. Although his vigilance had saved him, he could only run away like a helpless rat.

The Ursaring leader watched everything with disdain, and the enemy's casual attitude filled Sato with imnse humiliation, further igniting the fury within him.

Sato truly loved Pokémon, and unless they attacked him intentionally, he usually wouldn't be too hard on them. But for those Pokémon that attacked maliciously, especially those that tried to take his life without reason, he harbored a deep resentnt. He would never forgive them easily.

In the Pokémon world, humans can't survive on love and friendship alone. Necessary force is the key to ensuring safety.

"If no one offends , I won't offend them. But if anyone crosses , I will definitely retaliate. Weakness may be the original sin, but since you attacked for no reason and made the mistake of letting live, you'd better be ready to face my wrath," Sato thought darkly, his expression grim.

He wasn't the only one feeling humiliated. Zubat, who had a strong sense of pride, felt the sa way. Quietly perched on Sato's shoulder, Zubat focused intently on the direction of the Ursaring leader outside the treehouse, using echolocation to keep track.

As for Gloom, she had grown up in the forest and was well aware of the Ursaring leader's existence. She considered it a stroke of luck to have escaped with her life. Gloom didn't dare to harbor any thoughts of revenge because she knew just how powerful the Ursaring leader was. The idea that he was invincible had long been ingrained in her mind.

Nevertheless, Gloom was sensitive and could clearly sense the hatred Sato and Zubat harbored toward the Ursaring leader. Not wanting to be left out, she followed their lead in resenting the Ursaring, though in her mind, being alone was far scarier than facing the terrifying Pokémon.

The Ursaring pack didn't linger on the riverbank for long. After spending seven or eight minutes devouring the food around them, they continued downstream, clearly still hungry and eager to find more along the river.

Five or six minutes after the Ursaring left, Sato ca down from the treehouse and returned to the riverbank. He then decided to move in the opposite direction, upstream, hoping to find more Water-type Pokémon.

However, after walking just a few dozen ters along the riverbank, he decided to turn back. He realized that there were no Water-type Pokémon left in this part of the riverbank—or at least, no living ones.

Because of the terrain, the upstream riverbank had already dried out, and the pebbles on the ground had been scorched by the midday sun. The bodies of dead fish, dried out by the heat, were now emitting a putrid stench.

On the way back, Sato and his team were attacked by various wild Pokémon drawn to the sll of the dead fish. They encountered a group of owth led by a Persian, so Murkrow who usually only appeared at night, and even so cautious Rattata.

"So, you really think we're easy prey? Let's teach them a lesson. Get ready for battle, Zubat, Gloom," Sato said coldly, his blue eyes flashing as he looked at the Persian, which was eyeing him maliciously, and the swarm of owth surrounding them. Glancing at the fresh scratch on his left arm from the Persian's earlier attack, Sato's expression hardened further.
