-----------------

"Arbok, your Poison-type moves have been trained very well already. Continuing to focus on them for now won't yield much more progress. It's better to work on other moves instead. That way, your strength will increase more quickly."

"And also—you're a Poison-type Pokémon. Against Psychic- and Ground-types, you'll be at a serious disadvantage. But if I rember correctly, you've got the Dark-type move Crunch and the Water-type move Aqua Tail. Show them to ."

Sato approached Arbok first. He knew that this murderous snake's only passion was becoming stronger, so he played to that desire, imdiately pointing out the best path forward for further improvent.

Sure enough, Arbok stopped moving the mont Sato spoke. He cast a cold glance at Sato, then looked at the nearby Swampert who was training. Finally, he complied and demonstrated Crunch and Aqua Tail in front of Sato.

Although Arbok didn't like Sato as his so-called master, he still had considerable trust in Sato's strength. Swampert used to be soone he could barely keep up with, but now he couldn't even see the gap between them—and the one who brought about that change was this very human.

As a large venomous serpent, Arbok had a natural talent for biting techniques.

Moreover, he showed decent control over Dark-type energy. When he used Crunch, his poisonous fangs were enveloped in a thick layer of Dark energy, and his entire mouth radiated a nacing aura. With one bite, the tal training dummy in the practice room was left with a deep bite mark.

However, Arbok clearly preferred solving problems with his mouth—his tail-based moves were much weaker. It took him seven or eight seconds to prepare a single Aqua Tail, and the Water energy he summoned couldn't even cover half his tail.

"Crunch is looking pretty solid, but Aqua Tail is far too lacking. You can't even coat half your tail in water, and your charge-up ti is way too long. Obviously, your Water-type energy control is insufficient. Go find Swampert—have him show you how Aqua Tail is really used."

After watching Arbok demonstrate Crunch and Aqua Tail, Sato had a rough assessnt in mind. He shook his head in disappointnt and spoke directly.

Although he had told Arbok—before leaving him at the daycare—to train Aqua Tail, it was clear this wild and violent snake hadn't listened at all. He probably spent the entire past month doing whatever he wanted during training.

What's more, Sato had heard from the daycare's manager that Arbok had been locked up in the Pokémon Police Departnt's high-risk containnt zone for most of the month due to repeated attacks on staff.

In that harsh, restrictive environnt—where als and care were subpar—this venomous snake's strength had clearly regressed rather than improved. From Sato's perspective, Arbok had even gotten weaker.

When Arbok heard Sato tell him to go to Swampert for help with Aqua Tail, he imdiately hesitated. Then, instead of responding, he simply turned his head away and continued training however he pleased.

"I know you're upset that I didn't bring you along for the next trial—but do you know why I chose Swampert and the others and not you? It's simple: you still haven't integrated into the team."

"You feel no sense of belonging here. You show no loyalty to . You're too dangerous. I can't entrust my back to you, and I'm not foolish enough to keep helping you grow stronger just so you can turn against ."

"Honestly, I gave you a lot of chances. At my request, Bellossom and Arcanine invited you to their group als and gas multiple tis. Even Swampert tried sharing food with you. But you were too proud and chose to reject and ignore them every ti."

"I know how you spent the past month. Before I left, I warned you countless tis to cooperate with the daycare staff and train well there. But not only did you ignore my words—you attacked the staff multiple tis and ended up being imprisoned. Absolutely disgraceful."

"I thought a stint in confinent might calm that temper of yours, but clearly, it was pointless."

"You've seen Arcanine and the others recently, right? They're all far stronger than you now. You've not only failed to progress—you've fallen behind. What right do you have to be proud?"

"Just now, I gave you another chance to integrate into the team by asking you to learn Aqua Tail from Swampert—but you still chose to reject it. You've really disappointed . You're beyond saving."

"If you truly want to beco stronger, you have to integrate into the team and follow my orders without question. If you can't do that, I'll release you right now. Leave or stay—you decide."

Sato's eyes sharpened and turned ice-cold as he watched Arbok continue to ignore him arrogantly. Then, with a cold and rciless glare, he barked the ultimatum.

At that mont, his eyes glowed blue with psychic power, and a wave of psychic energy surged from his body.

In an instant, Arbok was surrounded by a blue aura, suspended in telekinetic force, and slamd hard into the wall by Sato's psychic attack.

In that mont, Sato's heart was full of bitter disappointnt toward the murderous snake before him. He could tolerate Arbok's lack of loyalty and reluctance to join the group—but disobedience was absolutely unacceptable.

The only reason he hadn't killed Arbok upon first encounter and chose to capture him instead was because of Arbok's high potential—and because at the ti, Sato lacked strong offensive Pokémon.

But now, his original team had all grown significantly. Arbok's usefulness had drastically diminished. At this point, he was almost irrelevant.

There's no point in forcing sothing that doesn't work. Arbok's defiant behavior today made Sato realize it was ti to make a decision—there was no need to keep such a disloyal and dangerous Pokémon around.

Before being caught, Arbok had already killed and eaten humans. There was no way a few words from Sato could change a nature that dark.

During his recent month-long confinent, not only did Arbok fail to feel any remorse—he grew even more resentful toward humans. And the one who had stopped him from devouring both humans and Pokémon—Sato—was the one he now hated the most.

The mont he was attacked by Sato's psychic power, Arbok's deep-rooted hatred of humans exploded. Noticing that Sato was less than five ters away, he went berserk.

The serpent pattern on his chest instantly shifted into its aggressive, attack form, and he lunged at Sato like a bolt of lightning, his massive, venomous jaws gaping to bite down on Sato's head.

"So that's your answer? Pathetic."

"Kecleon, Protect."

"Swampert—finish him. Use Ice Punch."

Seeing Arbok launch himself at him, Sato's eyes darkened further. Deep disappointnt filled his heart. Without hesitation, he gave the command via telepathy to the Kecleon on his shoulder and to Swampert, who was already rushing over.
