A complete Pokémon team must include a healer. At certain tis, their presence is far more important than any offensive mber.
As soone who possessed a healing-type Pokémon very early on, Sato never forgot just how crucial his Bellossom had been when he was still weak.
Especially on the Mysterious Island—Bellossom had been the key to Sato's rapid growth there. Countless tis, when his team was on the verge of total wipeout, it was Bellossom's astounding healing output that safely carried everyone through.
However, Pokémon who naturally master healing moves are extrely rare. To this day, Sato had only ever seen a handful with such moves, and most ca from powerful factions that spent enormous resources cultivating them.
As for wild ones, the only healing-type Pokémon he had seen before was that powerful Venusaur on the Mysterious Island—the one that almost killed him—along with the Bulbasaur he currently owned, fortunate enough to have inherited Grassy Terrain.
Until now.
For the first ti, he had encountered a third wild Pokémon capable of healing moves: Roserade—and she used them to perfection.

Just from its stat page alone, one could see how powerful this Roserade was. She was a fully developed Pokémon—any trainer who captured her and trained her even a little would imdiately gain a pseudo-Elite Four level powerhouse.
Sato had already developed thoughts of capturing her the mont he saw her perform in battle.
Not only was her healing output astonishing, her combat strength was also exceptional—perfect for filling his current shortage of strong Poison-type Pokémon for his bounty hunter identity.
Moreover, since Bellossom was temporarily unable to battle, and Bulbasaur was still too young and hadn't finished digesting its internal treasure, neither of his current teams—whether in his League identity or his bounty hunter identity—had a proper healer.
Pikachu did know the healing move Wish, but his recovery output was… not flattering. He was nowhere near Bellossom or Roserade, who had refined the use of their STAB healing move Grassy Terrain to absolute mastery.
Thus, both identities were in a shortage crisis regarding battlefield sustain.
Whenever a Pokémon got hurt, he had no choice but to recall them and rely on dicine, making quick battlefield re-engagent nearly impossible.
Now that a Pokémon capable of solving this major problem had appeared, there was no way Sato would let the opportunity slip away. When he saw Roserade about to be captured by the Malevolent Ghost Poaching Group, he had originally planned to use Teleport to snatch the PokeBall.
But now that Roserade successfully escaped, he could avoid offending the poachers altogether. A once-in-a-lifeti opportunity was right before him—Sato didn't hesitate to make his move.
Unfortunately, Roserade was exactly what she looked like: a poisoned rose covered in thorns.
She was gorgeous, but impossible to touch. And after suffering so much from the poachers, Sato didn't need to guess—her affection toward humans was below freezing.
And so, even an innocent passerby like Sato was now one of her targets of hostility.
Sure enough, Roserade opened with a whip strike—her vines full of venomous barbs.
"Sigh… looks like we can't talk this out. Guess I'll have to cool you down first."
Seeing Roserade imdiately attack him, Sato sighed, pushed off the ground to retreat, threw a PokeBall, and called out to her.
A second later, Nidoking's huge figure stood between him and the enraged Roserade.
Roserade, a master of Grassy Terrain, had already healed from most of her earlier wounds. She showed no fear at Nidoking's imposing presence. She pressed her hands to the ground, releasing dozens of toxin-coated vines from below to bind Nidoking's legs.
Then she followed up with her signature move: Giga Drain.
But Roserade overestimated her vines' durability and underestimated Nidoking's power.
On Sato's command, Nidoking unleashed Fire Punch from both fists. Fire—the natural bane of plants—easily burned through the vines.
Imdiately after, a blazing column of fla erupted from his mouth—Flathrower.
As a wild pseudo-Elite Four level Pokémon, Roserade's battle instincts were far greater than those raised by most trainers. Seeing Nidoking wielding a Fire-type move that countered her, she instantly severed her vine connections and retreated, using the dense vegetation around her to hide.
But Nidoking's mastery over Ground-type energy was extrely precise. Even the slightest tremor in the earth told him exactly where she was. The flas from his mouth relentlessly pursued Roserade's movent.
The Grassy Terrain around them began transforming into scorched land, shrinking the space Roserade could use to evade.
Sweating heavily, Roserade began gathering Water-type energy from the environnt, trying to counter the fire and the worsening terrain.
Finally, when she was nearly cornered, she successfully used Rain Dance.
A cluster of dark clouds quickly ford above the battlefield, and rain started falling.
The falling rain rapidly extinguished the flas, greatly weakening their power.
Seeing her Rain Dance succeed, Roserade smirked triumphantly. She raised both hands again, forming a massive water sphere above her head.
"What impressive battle intelligence. Rain Dance not only neutralizes Nidoking's Fire-type moves, but also lets her fire a Water-type Weather Ball that counters him."
Sato, riding on his Crobat, took in the scene with admiration.
"But my Nidoking has more than just Fire-type counters. Ti's about right—Nidoking, freeze her Weather Ball with Ice Beam and send it back with Ice Punch!"
As Roserade hurled the water sphere at Nidoking and once again tried to restrain him with thorn-covered vines, Sato laughed and shouted his command.
"ROAR!!!"
With a thunderous cry, Nidoking unleashed an ice-blue beam from his horn—Ice Beam—instantly freezing the water sphere into a block of ice.
Then, with a powerful swing of his right fist coated in chilling frost—Ice Punch—he shattered the ice sphere, sending countless razor-sharp shards flying toward Roserade.
