As the crowd around Sato thinned, the mbers of the Wild Wolves gang following him began to stand out more, so of the more arrogant mbers showing clear malice as they quickly closed in
Without turning around, Sato's eyes flashed coldly at the approaching gang mbers, who were no longer bothering to hide their intent. At the sa ti, he already had Gloom's PokéBall in his hand, ready for action.
In most cases, having more numbers gives an advantage, but Sato had learned one crucial lesson during his week-long wilderness survival training: in Pokémon battles, numbers aren't always the deciding factor. What matters is whether you can seize the upper hand and control the battlefield.
As the Wild Wolves mbers began to speed up, trying to catch up to him, Sato suddenly accelerated, dashing forward like an arrow. Seeing him attempt to flee, the gang mbers revealed themselves fully and, following their leader's lead, gave chase at full speed.
During that week of survival training, not only had Sato's Pokémon improved greatly, but he himself had also beco much stronger. His physical fitness was no longer as weak as it once was.
In this Pokémon world, it seed that human bodies had a higher potential than those on Earth, and they grew stronger faster too. Thanks to the intense daily exercise and a diet rich in nutrients during his survival trial, Sato's body had grown significantly more robust.
Though Sato still didn't qualify as a muscular man, he was far stronger than when he first joined Team Rocket. His leg muscles, in particular, had developed considerably from constant running through the forest. Now, he could run like a small cheetah, swift and agile.
Within monts, only two of the Wild Wolves gang mbers, who were in decent shape, could barely keep up with Sato's pace. The rest had already lost him.
Even the two that remained close were soon thrown into disarray when Zubat suddenly unleashed a surprise Air Cutter attack. Although they managed to fend off the ambush with their own Pokémon, they completely lost track of Sato in the process.
However, being locals, the Wild Wolves mbers knew the nearby streets like the back of their hands. With Sato now in the maze-like alleys, they weren't worried about him escaping right under their noses.
Their leader quickly instructed so mbers to block off key intersections, while he led the rest into the alleys to search for Sato. To be safe, they released their Pokémon to assist in the search.
The dark alleys were pitch-black, and Sato, with Zubat's help, was hiding in one of these dim, narrow lanes.
Sato had already changed into his black Team Rocket grunt uniform and covered his face with a black cloth, leaving only his cold eyes visible. As he quietly adjusted his breathing, he patiently waited for his prey to fall into his trap.
The Wild Wolves mbers mostly commanded Pokémon like Beedrill, Rattata, and Geodude—low-level, common Pokémon. Still, each gang mber had at least two of these Pokémon, and while their levels were only around 10, together they ford a not-insignificant force.
However, in their eagerness to find Sato, the Wild Wolves had split up, weakening their advantage in numbers and giving Sato the opportunity to pick them off one by one.
Using Zubat's echolocation, Sato knew that three people were heading his way, and from the sounds approaching, they had so Pokémon with them as well.
"Let's begin. We'll take them out quietly," Sato whispered as he patted Zubat and Gloom, signaling for them to prepare.
Both Pokémon had fought alongside Sato in many battles, and their synergy was perfect. Understanding his command, they nodded in response.
In the next mont, Zubat stirred the air around them, manipulating Flying-type energy to create a gentle breeze. At the sa ti, Gloom released a cloud of odorless Sleep Powder from its bud, silently spreading through the alley.
Taking advantage of the night, the faint green breeze that suddenly swept past didn't draw much attention from the Wild Wolves mbers.
The three gang mbers, cautiously searching the alley with their six Pokémon, noticed the wind but didn't think much of it. However, after taking a few breaths of the fresh air, sothing began to feel off. Their bodies grew weak, and a wave of drowsiness washed over them.
One by one, the gang mbers and their Pokémon collapsed onto the ground, succumbing to Gloom's Sleep Powder.
After confirming with Zubat that the group was fully incapacitated, Sato and his two Pokémon approached the fallen gang mbers and their Pokémon, now deep in a forced slumber.
"I didn't provoke you, yet you ca looking for trouble. Since that's the case, you should have been prepared to be killed. I show no rcy to my enemies," Sato said coldly as he glanced down at the hunting knife in his hand.
Sato had never crossed paths with these people before, but greed was a powerful motivator. Their actions tonight were clearly hostile, and from the bloodstained knives they carried, it was obvious these n had taken lives before. If they caught him, his path as a Pokémon Trainer would end here.
"Dead enemies are the best kind. I can't afford to give them a chance to strike back," Sato decided. Without hesitation, his eyes flashing cold, he plunged the knife into the chest of one of the unconscious gang mbers, swiftly ending his life.
Within a minute, Sato had killed all three Wild Wolves mbers and their Pokémon. He quickly searched their bodies and space-equipped gear for valuables.
Ti was short, so he didn't have ti to thoroughly loot them. He grabbed so cash and a few useful Pokémon items. Still, the three gang mbers had been quite lucrative, with each contributing about 50,000 to 60,000 PokéDollars to Sato's pockets.
In fact, these Wild Wolves mbers had witnessed Sato earlier when he had refused the money offered by Ichiro Yamaguchi. The money they had now was what they had picked up at that ti.
After silently dispatching this group, Sato wasted no ti. Before anyone could detect the scent of blood, he wiped off his blood-stained knife and stored it in his space pouch. With Zubat's help, he climbed onto the rooftop above the alley and concealed himself.
The trap had been set. Now, all that was left was to wait.
It didn't take long before the heavy scent of blood attracted the attention of the remaining Wild Wolves mbers nearby. Sato watched as they hurriedly arrived, flashlights in hand.
Seeing their fallen comrades, the approaching gang mbers' faces darkened. By the light of their flashlights, they could clearly see that their brothers had been killed with a single strike.
"It's Sleep Powder. That guy has a Gloom. They were taken out by surprise. Everyone, keep your antidotes ready and stay alert. We might be in for more than we bargained for this ti," the gang leader muttered grimly as he knelt to examine the faint green powder on the bodies.
But just as he finished speaking, a few more Wild Wolves mbers and their Pokémon suddenly collapsed to the ground. A wave of powerful sleepiness hit the others almost instantly
