Now reading: Chapter 168 - 110: Using Fire Punch as a Psychic Type Finish from Pokemon: This Ash Is Too Versatile, a Fantasy novel by The writing fairy is about to starve to death..

With Gardevoir’s evolution and Ash’s decision, the second battle officially comnced.

"Bellossom, Grassy Glide!"

"Flower Brew~~"

Bellossom let out a cry and then lightly tapped her toes, her entire body sliding swiftly across the ground with incredible speed!

Ash and Gardevoir hadn’t even seen their opponent’s figure when Bellossom had already appeared in front of Gardevoir, emitting a bright green energy, and crashed fiercely into Gardevoir!

"Gardevoir!"

Having just evolved and appearing so elegant, Gardevoir was directly sent flying, rolling over several tis on the ground, looking rather disheveled.

"Gardevoir!!" Ash called out Gardevoir’s na worriedly, constantly searching for the Grassy Glide move in his mind, but this move wasn’t in his database; it was a skill he hadn’t learned yet.

"Gar..." Gardevoir supported herself up from the ground. Although she looked sowhat battered, it was clear that this move couldn’t solve her in full condition.

However, Bellossom’s speed was too fast just now, and with her strong Psychic abilities, she couldn’t catch the opponent’s figure. It wasn’t rely the speed boost from Chlorophyll, but rather related to the skill Bellossom used.

"Brock, do you know what kind of skill Grassy Glide is?" Misty was also taken aback by Bellossom’s speed. Ash had won the first round and Gardevoir had evolved, so it seed like Ash had the advantage.

But Erika was no ordinary opponent either, countering with a skill that none of them knew. This skill appeared to be a Grass Type, not only fast but also benefited from the field’s power boost, making it quite potent.

What’s crucial is that she had never heard of this skill before.

Although Brock was sowhat infatuated by Erika’s looks, he stood by his good friend. If he had information about Grassy Glide, he would definitely share it with Ash. However, as he went through all the Grass Type Moves in his mind, he couldn’t recall what Grassy Glide was.

"This skill probably isn’t sothing Bellossom learned through level-up, but rather from a Skill Machine obtained from another region. I don’t have any records of this skill."

Misty’s face fell upon hearing this. Even Brock didn’t know about this skill; what on earth could it be?

"Such speed... Pikachu, isn’t it sowhat similar to your move?" Ash looked serious but remained calm, analyzing the situation.

"Pika Pika." Pikachu nodded in agreent, indicating that the Grassy Glide move seed similar to his Zippy Zap, enhancing a Pokemon’s speed, but perceptually, the boost wasn’t as fast as Zippy Zap.

In other words, this skill is similar to Quick Attack, a priority move with 1.

"Haha, are you curious about what skill this is? In Kanto, this skill is quite rare because the Skill Machine for it is only available in Galar. As for its effect... not telling you~" Erika playfully stuck out her tongue, a look of satisfaction on her face.

Who told Ash to be so annoying earlier; now it was her turn!

"No matter what skill it is, it’s just fast. Control it, Gardevoir, use Psychic!"

"Grassy Glide!"

It would indeed be troubleso once controlled, but the premise is that Gardevoir has to control her.

In the Sunny Day, Bellossom’s skill speed doubled. She gracefully slid across the field, leaving afterimages all over, making it impossible for Psychic to lock onto her.

Gardevoir’s beautiful eyes flickered, the blue light in her eyes growing brighter.

"Bang!"

Bellossom once again used Grassy Glide to send Gardevoir flying, with Gardevoir skidding several ters across the ground.

However, just as Bellossom was about to continue maneuvering with Grassy Glide, she suddenly found she couldn’t move!

Gardevoir slowly supported herself from the ground, gently raising her hand as the azure energy firmly bound Bellossom, Psychic successfully executed!

"How is this possible? Bellossom’s speed should make it impossible for Gardevoir to catch her!" Erika’s face froze in disbelief as she saw Bellossom being restrained.

What’s going on? This isn’t supposed to be controllable. Psychic, although formidable as a Psychic Type skill with the ability to bind, has a weakness of a small range and requires line-of-sight to capture the opponent.

With Bellossom’s speed in the Sunny Day, alongside the priority boost from Grassy Glide on the grassy field, Gardevoir shouldn’t have been able to see even her heel. How could she be controlled?

"Do you want to know how Gardevoir managed to do it?"

Erika squinted, gesturing for Ash to speak.

"Actually... I’m not telling you~" Ash said halfway, playfully making a face at Erika.

The hallmark of youth is a penchant for holding grudges, especially for a newcor like Ash.

Erika had jeered at him earlier, engraving the mont in his heart, and now it was payback ti.

In reality, the reason Gardevoir was able to achieve this was because, after her evolution, she could spread her psychic power lightly around herself. As soon as the opponent attacked and touched her psychic power, they would be imdiately ensnared. Then, she would increase her Superpower output to control the opponent with Psychic.

This defensive thod was sowhat self-destructive, but as long as she could control the opponent, it didn’t matter.
