Now reading: Chapter 670 - 360: Wave Crash vs Flare Blitz, Charizard’s De from Pokemon: This Ash Is Too Versatile, a Fantasy novel by The writing fairy is about to starve to death..

In Professor Oak’s perspective, these two are freaks among freaks.

One has been debuting for half a year and can already arm-wrestle with the Champion. Even without relying on his special abilities, he’s cultivated his Pokemon to Mid-Elite Level. The other is not far behind. Although Gary does not have Ash’s terrifying ability to fight above his level, he has produced an Elite-Level Pokemon in over six months, which is a remarkable feat.

Moreover, the most outrageous thing is that during the Quartz Conference, neither had an Elite Level Pokemon; one had a Gym Peak-level powerhouse, and the other had a Gym Interdiate-level powerhouse.

In just a month, the two transford and produced a Mid-Elite Level and a Junior Elite Level Pokemon.

When did Elite Level Pokemon beco so easy to cultivate? In their era, even a genius Trainer had to be about twenty-five years old to cultivate an Elite Level Pokemon. Even he, known as the most talented in the history of the Kanto League, only had an Elite Level Pokemon around the age of twenty-one.

Their era was different from now; there was no way to prematurely possess or train Pokemon, so he had genuinely spent six years cultivating nearly a team of Elite Level Pokemon.

Such talent was absolutely unprecedented, and the league originally thought it was sothing that would never happen again. However, the fact proved that tis were advancing, and talents erged with the progress of the era. Now, it’s a world dominated by the young.

Cynthia, Lance, Leon—these new generation Champions had long broken his records, and now, even brighter new stars have risen. These two youngsters were nurtured by him, one is the son of his student’s son, the other is his grandson.

Professor Oak believes that with these two freaks, whether it’s restoring Pallet Town or reviving the Kanto Region, it’s just around the corner.

On the field, the first clash ended with Charizard gaining a slight advantage. Although Blastoise had made rapid progress in a month, it still couldn’t match the current Charizard.

However, Pokemon battles don’t solely rely on the raw strength of both sides—external factors also play a role!

"Blastoise, use Rain Dance!"

"Charizard, Thunder Punch!"

Gary wanted to increase Blastoise’s power by changing the weather. In rainy weather, Water Attribute moves would enhance, and Fire Attribute moves would weaken, which amounts to double the strengthening for Blastoise.

Ash, on the other hand, didn’t care much about that and directly let Charizard use Thunder Punch. If the opponent initiated rain, let them do so, because Charizard after GA evolving is not just Fire Attribute. Should Thunder Punch overpower Blastoise so much that it can’t use Rain Dance, it would be even better.

No loss either way.

"Roar!" Charizard roared, spreading the giant teeth-like wings behind its back, its body darting out like a black lightning bolt, reaching Blastoise in the blink of an eye.

At this mont, Blastoise had its eyes closed, communicating with the Power of Heaven and Earth. Originally sunny skies were now vehently swept by clouds from the horizon, visible to the naked eye.

Charizard swung with Dragon Claw, golden lightning flickering on the claws, fiercely striking Blastoise’s shell with a loud "boom!" The golden lightning burst open, Blastoise’s resilient shell cracked slightly, and despite the excruciating pain causing it to arch and howl, it never stopped channeling the Power of Heaven and Earth.

Thanks to Blastoise’s efforts, the wind suddenly rose, swirling rocks and grass clippings on the edges of the field. The light grew dimr, and the next second, large raindrops poured down without warning, striking the ground with ’da-da’ sounds.

The Rain Dance succeeded!

Although Thunder Punch dealt significant damage, cracking parts of Blastoise’s shell, it still couldn’t prevent Blastoise from successfully executing Rain Dance. This kind of defensive power drew Ash and Charizard’s attention.

Notably, this isn’t just about a basic counter to moves. Charizard transforming into Charizard X had greatly enhanced its Physical Attack power. Unlike its original specialty of Special Attack, X Charizard is dual-bladed, aning its Special Attack and Physical Attack were both extrely powerful.

Adding to its Ability, Tough Claws, its Physical Attack power could rival so Elite Peak Level Pokemon. Even so, this Thunder Punch couldn’t directly make Blastoise lose combat ability, nor could it disrupt Rain Dance. Such resistance is truly exceptional!

The mont the rain touched Blastoise’s shell, it leveraged the downpour to unleash its attack; a pale blue wave surged, expanding swiftly along with the rain, propelling a massive wave.

"Blastoise, use Surf!" Gary’s voice echoed just then!

Blastoise’s skill execution and Gary’s shout were essentially happening simultaneously. The synchronization between them was no less than that of Ash and Pikachu. This kind of situation, where a Trainer anticipates the Pokemon’s intent before issuing instructions, nearly reaches the state of being one-hearted!

The massive wave, dragging along the rain, overwheld with a height of several ters, scouring up stones and mud from the ground, emitting a muffled crash, akin to a moving water wall in the rain, brutally crashing toward Charizard.
