Now reading: Chapter 707 - 378: Ace vs Ace, Pikachu vs Slaking! (Part 2) from Pokemon: This Ash Is Too Versatile, a Fantasy novel by The writing fairy is about to starve to death..

Ash actually defeated his two Pokemon without using that move.

On one hand, he underestimated Ash, thinking that he had the upper hand before Ash used that move. On the other hand, he overestimated himself, believing that even if Ash used that move, he could still fight.

The final result is what we see now: Ash defeated his two Pokemon without any casualties.

But to put it in perspective, it’s just harsh talk; Ash’s Lucario is almost incapacitated, and Charizard’s physical strength is greatly diminished.

After all, Charizard is Ash’s ace, so it’s reasonable to be fierce. Since Ash’s ace is out, it’s now his turn to counterattack.

"This is my last Pokemon, and it’s my ace as well—an ace against an ace. This should be a very interesting battle, Ash." Norman said as he threw the Pokeball, and a robust Pokemon appeared on the field.

With a gorilla-like appearance, brown fur drooped lazily, and from the face and overall look, it gave a very languid impression. Although its appearance is mighty, it doesn’t appear terrifying, perhaps due to its lazy deanor.

This Pokemon is Norman’s ace Pokemon, Slaking from the Hoenn Region!

Slaking possesses extrely terrifying Statistic Ability; even a Quasi-God’s Statistic Ability can’t compare to Slaking. In terms of Statistic Ability, Slaking is among the highest tier among ordinary Pokemon, and it’s not as laborious to train as a Quasi-God, yet few people train it.

The reason is that even if you successfully train a Slaking, using it is extrely challenging.

Slaking’s Ability is laziness; after attacking once, the next attack enters a stagnant phase, aning every attack from Slaking is like using Hyper Beam.

This Ability undoubtedly causes many trainers great headaches, and once it evolves into Slaking, it becos extrely lazy, not entirely without self-training, but generally, lying around for twenty hours a day is normal.

Considering miscellaneous activities, having half an hour a day for training is already fortunate.

So despite being easier to train than other Quasi-God’s final evolutions, few people choose to train this Pokemon.

In battles, it’s not useful; in training, it’s always lazy. Such Pokemon are impossible to handle without a highly skilled trainer.

Fortunately, Norman is such a highly skilled trainer.

Not only did he train Slaking, it’s also his ace! Ash glanced at Slaking’s level, it had already reached Champion Interdiate Level!

Compared to Norman’s other Pokemon, Slaking was overwhelmingly strong!

"Ace against ace, then I’ll have my ’ace’ take the field too. Charizard, co back!" Ash said as he recalled Charizard.

This move left Norman, as well as May and Victor, stunned.

Why did Ash withdraw Charizard? Could it be that Charizard isn’t Ash’s ace Pokemon? Impossible. Such a powerful Charizard isn’t Ash’s ace? Then what is Ash’s ace...

"The final battle is all yours, Pikachu." Ash turned decisively to Pikachu at his feet, entrusting the last battle to his most trusted Pokemon!

Ash treats his Pokemon equally, generally avoiding favoritism. Yet, this is mostly true; in the entire team, all Pokemon knew Pikachu is special.

He is Ash’s first Pokemon and his most trusted one; this is well-known among the Pokemon.

No matter if Pikachu is the strongest, when faced with important battles, he is always Ash’s trump card, just like this one.

"Pikachu?" Upon seeing Pikachu, Norman was also surprised; he didn’t expect Ash to swap Charizard for Pikachu.

Ash’s Pikachu, although formidable and iconic, was no match for the feats of Charizard. It’s said Ash’s Pikachu knows many unique moves, but those moves pale in the face of absolute strength.

No matter how strong Pikachu is, it has its limits. How could it compare to Charizard, which can GA evolve?

When Pikachu appeared, the surrounding children also stared in awe. Ash’s Pokemon are incredibly appealing, either handso or cute, each one desirable!

However, even the children doubted how much strength a cute Pikachu could exert; it paled in comparison with the opponent’s huge Slaking.

"Let’s go, Mr. Norman, for our last round of battle!"

"The last round? I don’t think so. My Slaking will defeat all your Pokemon." Norman calmly quipped with undeniable confidence.

Ash called it the final round, indicating he thought he could defeat Slaking this match, yet Norman had no intention to fall here.

No matter if it’s Pikachu, Charizard, or the weakened Lucario, his Slaking will defeat them all!

"No, I’ll end the battle in this round. Go, Pikachu!" Ash said, tossing his hat into the air, and Pikachu leapt to catch it, perfectly landing it atop his head.

"Starting with a hat-wearing Pikachu? Ash intends to go full throttle!" Brock noted seriously, arms crossed analytically.

"What do you an by hat-wearing Pikachu? What happens when Pikachu wears a hat?" Victor curiously asked.

"Well, the biggest difference with Ash’s Pikachu is, once it dons Ash’s hat, remarkable changes occur, allowing it to use moves unheard of and boosting its abilities and even its level," Misty nodded in affirmation.

Hearing this, Victor, May, and the surrounding awestruck children gasped in shock.

This isn’t just a hat—it’s like cheating!

"Besides this... Aura resides within !" Ash crossed his arms before him, murmuring as imnse Aura Power infused Pikachu, enhancing its strength. Accumulating various powers, Pikachu now matches ordinary Champion Advanced Level Pokemon!

In terms of raw power, Pikachu even exceeds Slaking by a tier.

Historically, Ash often battled opponents above his level, and it was the sa just now: Lucario battled Kangaskhan across two levels, Charizard battled Blissey across one level. This ti, it’s his turn to suppress the opponent!

"So this is the power that defeated Elite Lorelei? Let witness it, Ash. Slaking, use ga Kick!" Norman sensed Pikachu’s sudden surge of power and realized Ash was using the power he had in his battle against Lorelei.

He spared no courtesy, instructing Slaking to attack with a normal-type Ultimate Move, ga Kick!

Slaking’s body crouched slightly, then leapt up fiercely, with its huge foot aid at Pikachu, descending swiftly, creating the sound of air tearing.

"Pikachu, Iron Tail!" Ash’s command stunned Norman; did Ash intend for Pikachu to directly confront Slaking?

What? How dare you!
