Mu Anhan’s kiss was still quite inexperienced.
She kissed Gu Xiaozhan’s thin lips randomly, and especially when she noticed he wasn’t responding, she beca a little anxious.
She imitated the way he usually kissed her; although her technique needed improvent, her perseverance finally earned her a kiss back from him.
His hand didn’t fall on her small bottom but rather held the back of her head tightly.
Gu Xiaozhan was an extrely disciplined man, not touching smoke or alcohol, and his lips had a refreshingly pure taste.
Mu Anhan really liked his taste!
Just as the two of them were lost in an inseparable kiss, an unexpected noise broke the silence.

Mu Anhan’s stomach growled with hunger!
Gu Xiaozhan released her, and she was so embarrassed that she buried her face in his chest, unwilling to look up.
How could this happen to her? Her stomach was such a spoiler at the wrong ti!

She refused to walk by herself, so Gu Xiaozhan lifted her up with one hand and brought her to the sofa.
"Mr. Gu, lunch is ready." Lie Huo had already placed the dishes on the coffee table.
Lie Huo was always well-trained, unperturbed no matter what he saw.
"Hmm." Gu Xiaozhan nodded, signaling that he could leave.
When the office door closed again, Mu Anhan finally lifted her head from his embrace, confirming that no one else was in the room before she let out a silent sigh of relief.
She hadn’t eaten anything since yesterday evening, how could she not be hungry?
At that mont, seeing the delicious food she loved, she ate ravenously without any concern for maintaining her socialite image.
Mu Anhan almost devoured the al with the gusto of a storm sweeping across a battlefield, and once she was full, she put down her chopsticks, grabbed a napkin to wipe her mouth, "Hubby, will staying here delay your work?"
"Why? I’ve just fed you! Are you already impatient to leave my side?" Gu Xiaozhan was a cold man, yet while eating he was elegant and refined—his deanor was almost contrasting.
Mu Anhan was drinking water and nearly choked on his words.
How could those words not have a double aning?
What did he an by he fed her? Between a mature man and woman, a single sentence was enough to create an ambiguous atmosphere.
As she gazed at him, he was also scrutinizing her.
"I saw you discussing work with those senior officers just now, and I interrupted." Mu Anhan blushed, "I also watch the news, and Country M is blatantly targeting our Country A. You must be very busy..."
"Stop using those as excuses." Gu Xiaozhan cut her off bluntly.

Mu Anhan looked at the tall and imposing figure of the man standing by the window, feeling a pang of heartache...
