When Gu Xiaozhan said he wasn’t disappointed, that was a lie.
As the situation kept escalating, Gu Xiaozhan’s insecurity only got worse.
She was his baroter; one second she could make him all gentle breeze and soft rain, and the next it was a raging storm.
Mu Anhan ran a few steps, and when she saw the man wasn’t coming over, she stopped again, tilting her small head to size him up.
The man was tall and upright, and in camouflage he carried a kind of innate authority that made people afraid to get close, yet unable to stop themselves from admiring and loving him.

"Instructor Gu, you look so scary!" She waved the phone at him.

He finished and strode off. Mu Anhan hurried after him. "Instructor Gu, I really like you like this, so majestic! Oh my god, I’m gonna die from how into you I am..."

Fine, then today’s training would stay in this mode.
The two of them reached the shooting range; there were lots of male soldiers already there.
When their eyes landed on Mu Anhan, they were so shocked they could hardly believe it.
Their unit actually had such a beautiful female soldier. What a pity there was only one.
But once they saw the man standing beside the female soldier, none of them dared look over again.
Using the shooting range as her backdrop, Mu Anhan took out her phone, stood beside Gu Xiaozhan, and snapped a selfie.
"Who said you could take selfies on the shooting range?" Instructor Gu imdiately barked in a harsh tone.
Mu Anhan blinked. "Should I delete it?"
"Phone confiscated." He reached out, snatched it from her, and slipped it into his pocket.
"Review yesterday’s target practice first." He continued issuing orders.
Mu Anhan shouldered the gun and started shooting.
Her first shot hit the bull’s-eye—ten rings.
The two rows of soldiers couldn’t help cheering, "Nice!"
They’d thought a girl that pretty, looking like a doll, brought over by Mr. Gu had to be here just to play around; how could she possibly be doing real, live training?
But the mont she made a move, she turned out to be an expert.
"Moving targets now." Gu Xiaozhan continued to order.
"What if I can’t hit them?" Mu Anhan felt a bit worried.
Gu Xiaozhan looked over at her. "What is live-fire training for? To compete in sports ets?"
Of course it was for hitting the target.
"Since when do targets stand still for you?" he shot back. "You practice until you can hit moving targets, then we talk."
The man had gone full authoritative mode!
He really wasn’t giving her any leeway at all.
To Mu Anhan, this side of him made him feel more real, like in everyday life.
He’d given all his tenderness to her.
To be honest, she also wanted to see his other side.
"What if I keep missing all the way till dark?" she asked in a small voice.
Gu Xiaozhan clasped his hands behind his back. "What kind of soldier in training would dare ask an instructor that?"
Mu Anhan thought about it and agreed. What soldier would dare say that to him? Anyone who saw him would have their legs scared weak, okay?
