Now reading: Chapter 323 - 174: Professor Wu Is Quite Interesting, Finall from Practicing Medical Skills in a Small Clinic, a Fantasy novel by Fisherman by the River.

Li Jingsheng turned his head to look, and the front desk of the orthopedic clinic was already empty.

Even the nurse girls had left.

"Today’s patient’s cause of illness was identified; it’s fat embolism. It’s likely caused by increased intradullary pressure after cent infusion, causing fat drops to enter the blood vessels, leading to embolism."

Professor Wu revealed the specific cause to him.

"Thank you for telling this, it’s really enlightening!"

"Just happened to run into you here, so thought I’d let you know!"

Professor Wu explained.

"Alright, goodbye."

Li Jingsheng turned and left.

Shortly after he left, he instinctively looked back.

He saw Professor Wu also co out, heading straight towards the parking lot, with no one accompanying him.

"This Professor Wu is interesting. Did he co to the clinic lobby specifically to wait for ?"

Li Jingsheng had initially thought Wu would be bothering so nurse girl, but now it seed he was waiting for him.

Was his purpose to tell Li Jingsheng about the patient’s pathological chanism?

It certainly couldn’t be that simple.

Could it be that Wu wanted to apologize to Li Jingsheng, but couldn’t bring himself to do it, and thus used this thod to ease their relationship?

This is quite possible.

After all, many senior chief doctors in high positions are accustod to being aloof and superior. For them to lower their face and apologize to a young doctor is extrely difficult.

When Li Jingsheng goes to work next ti at the Second Hospital, he’ll know by Wu’s attitude.

He didn’t dwell on it further.

The female patient’s embolism was caused simply by elevated intradullary pressure causing fat drops to enter the bloodstream. This must be guarded against when treating bone diseases in the future.

...

Returning to the clinic, he found Tang Ping and others still busy.

"Boss, you’re back!"

The three looked especially happy seeing Li Jingsheng return.

"Is everything okay at the clinic?"

Li Jingsheng’s eyes turned to Tang Ping.

When he was away, Tang Ping acted as the ’store manager’.

"There were five or six more difficult patients; I said the boss wasn’t in and suggested they co tomorrow or visit the hospital. Those with simple ailnts mostly just bought dicine and left."

Tang Ping made detailed records and handed him the reports to check.

"You all did well. How were dicine sales today?"

Li Jingsheng asked Xiaogao, who was stocking the counter.

"Pretty good. The mbership card system was a bit unfamiliar at first, but Siying figured it out after so trial and then taught us how to use it."

Xiaogao praised Han Siying.

"Siying has certainly made great progress. When diagnosing patients, her ability is very strong; there was a female patient with just a simple cough. After listening, she suspected a possible lung lesion. Later, that patient went to the health station and was diagnosed with a lung tumor, then transferred directly to the county hospital’s oncology departnt for treatnt."

Tang Ping also praised Han Siying highly.

"Siying, well done! I’ll be working in the clinic tomorrow; if the counter isn’t busy, you can co and join in diagnosing patients."

Li Jingsheng saw it was difficult to hire a certified doctor.

He decided to train her first.

At least she could handle common illnesses.

"Alright, thank you, Boss!"

Han Siying agreed happily with a nod.

"Boss, there’s one more thing. The owners of several pharmacies on this street ca looking for you, sat for a while, and then left. They seed to be discussing getting us to reduce sales of health supplents for vital energy, blood enrichnt, and brain nourishnt."

Xiaogao reported to Li Jingsheng.

"No worries, when they co, just serve tea. If they have requests, let them talk to ."

A hint of sharpness flashed in Li Jingsheng’s eyes.

Those pharmacy owners always acted arrogantly and never associated with Li Jingsheng. Now collectively visiting, what do they want?

Pressured him?

Isn’t it just that they are jealous seeing Sunshine Clinic’s dicine selling well?

Everyone is doing their own business, and there’s no way he’ll agree to their unreasonable conditions.

Li Jingsheng is certainly no longer the previous small clinic owner who could be easily manipulated.

Vital energy and blood enrichnt health supplents are major sellers; it’s bold of them to ask him to stop selling.

At this ti, a middle-aged woman pushed the door in, followed by a young mother with a baby.

They’re familiar faces.

The baby with milk protein allergy causing diarrhea.

"Dr. Li, we’ve been waiting for you to co back!"

"Has there been any issue with the child?"

Li Jingsheng felt a bit anxious.

After treatnt, the child’s condition improved significantly. It was looking like recovery was near, so hopefully nothing went wrong again.

"Everything has been good; after the last revisit, you asked us to co for a follow-up today. We ca this morning, heard you were at the Second Hospital for consultations, and since we live nearby, we just ca over again to see if you’ve co back."

The baby’s grandma ntioned Li Jingsheng’s work at the Second Hospital with particular admiration.

Now, with this additional role, he has beco a large hospital doctor in the patients’ eyes.

His status, authority, and credibility are elevated significantly.

"So that’s it! Has the child been eating normally lately?"

"Normal, the little guy’s appetite has really grown lately! I feel the breast milk isn’t enough for him anymore."

The child’s mother said with a blush.

"No shortage of nutrition for the daughter-in-law, right?"

Li Jingsheng asked the child’s grandma.

"Pig’s trotter, old hen, pork belly, fish... haven’t stopped serving her. My precious grandson is all fed by the daughter-in-law; of course, I make sure to cook good food for her!"

The child’s grandma ca close to swearing to the heavens.

"Indeed, Mom has been cooking a lot of good food for ; every day’s als are excellent."

The daughter-in-law was quite thin last ti.

She’s clearly gained weight this ti.

Her complexion is much rosier too.

Li Jingsheng nodded approvingly.

"Did you take photos of the child’s stool? Let take a look."

The child’s mom handed over the photos for him to check.

"Hmm, the recovery is very good. I’ll weigh the little guy."

Li Jingsheng weighed the child.

"Wow, that’s great, 8.6 kg."

Seeing this weight, Li Jingsheng knew clearly that the child’s illness was cured.
