Now it was truly silence, like the true aning of it. Not a single sound, not a single breath, nothing. Everybody was just… almost nonexistent. Albert didn't even know if he was allowed to breathe or if he needed to breathe… just like how the others couldn't even process what the fuck they had just seen… and couldn't even figure out what the fuck to do.
Almost like a hallucination or sothing straight out of a tv series… because there was no word that could describe what actually happened and how it happened… that a housekeeper just… slapped the biggest drug lord in the nation… back to back. And those slaps weren't the gentle ones, not with motherly care, but more like violent ones… almost like she wanted to knock so sense into his head… yeah.
Knock sense into a drug lord's head, who is already shattered in many ways… but she actually did it… she fucking slapped Jas, whose face now wasn't just tired, but red… almost like glowing red with the handprint of Alda's hands on his cheek, though he said nothing.
Not a single word ca from him, and of course didn't because, he was just mind blown that this just happened to him. Like, they shot at him, they tortured and beat him up, but there were only two people who slapped the fuck out of him, and he felt so type of way about it.
The first was his mother, and now the second is a housekeeper… Alda. But this wasn't just a slap, no. He felt sothing different about it, maybe the way it ca, maybe why it ca, the whole context about it was just a pure violent slap with care.
A slap that you will never forget, not because it hurts but because it ca with pure emotions and care.
Yeah… the feeling was just unbelievable knowing that soone who barely even knew you… could care about you this much. Soone who steps in, stands tall above you, and with just one simple slap… knocks you off the path you've been walking for so long and in that mont, everything you believed in, everything you thought you wanted… it just falls apart. You stand there, frozen, not knowing if you should be angry… or grateful. Because deep down… you realize maybe you needed it. Maybe you needed soone to care enough… to pull you back when you were too blind to see where you were heading.
It hurts…. Your chest feels tight and your hands shake because… for the first ti, you're not sure who you really are anymore. You thought you were strong, thought you knew what you wanted, but in that one mont… everything cracked. And through that crack… sothing else ca in. Sothing softer… sothing warr, like maybe… just maybe… you can be more than the chaos you've been carrying all this ti.
And it scares you… because change always does. It's easier to stay broken, to keep walking the sa road, even if it's killing you inside. But now… now there's this tiny voice whispering, "You don't have to keep suffering." A voice that makes your heart ache, you want to fight it, push it away, but you can't. Not anymore, because for the first ti… you feel like soone sees you. Really sees you… not the mask, not the lies… just you… just Jas.
Huh… this is… real pain... He thought as he slowly, finally turned his head, looking up at Alda, and what he saw just truly made the realization hit him. There wasn't any fear of what she had just done, not a single bit of regret… just care, with those tears still rolling down her face, those eyes full of tears, and more importantly, that face with determination written all over it. "It truly hurts…"
"Up your hands." Mike's sudden voice suddenly ca, breaking the silence as he aid at Alda, but Joseph quickly put up his hands.
"You are brave, Alda." He whispered as he slowly stood up, towering over her small body. "Brave and determined woman."
"I-I just—" She couldn't speak, she suddenly lost her voice, the power of it, because slowly she realized what she had done. Maybe it was with care, but still… she didn't just disrespect Jas, she destroyed his whole being in front of others… the key word of it.
She did sothing that didn't just co with consequences for her… but consequences for everybody in the room. That's the world they lived in and as she looked into Jas's eyes, she truly realized that with this, she sealed her fate, at least that's what she felt. Her whole soul was shaking, her whole being slowly filled with the dark thought that maybe because of her, because she wanted to help, they could all die in the most horrendous way possible.
"I'm truly grateful, Alda." Jas whispered again, holding out his hand to touch her cheek, then slowly lifting it to et her eyes. "You reminded what real pain is, the kind that cos with care. That's the pain that truly hurts."
She couldn't do anything as Jas brushed her face with the back of his hand… all she felt was fear, like she had fallen into a pit with a lion. No… it was worse. It felt like a devil stood before her, soone who could change in an instant depending on how he felt, soone who carried all his pain and anger deep inside.
An embodint of everything broken… almost like a trickster who spoke gently just before breaking you apart.
Her chest tightened, her legs felt weak… because now she understood. Jas wasn't scary because he was strong. He was scary because you never knew who he would be. One mont calm… the next, a storm. And that… that was the kind of fear that stayed with you.
Maybe he isn't broken… no, he's far worse than that. His whole being is just… terrifying. Fоr а smооthеr rеаding еxpеriеnсе, visit
"P-p-please—"
"Don't worry, Alda… I truly needed it, and I thank you for standing up." He smiled as he let go of her head, putting on a warm smile, one that actually looked real, that actually looked like how he used to smile, how people described him to her. "But next ti, if you touch … I will cut off your legs and hands and feed Mango outside with them, okay?"
How terrifying it is… with the sa smile on his face… he said calmly, in a way that it sounded nothing like a threat, it was almost just as warm as that smile.
"O-okay…"
