anwhile all the shit was happening in Hangurn, while the city was exploding as the raids took place, while Hector with a smile on his face killed those who turned against the family.
In Maraci the things were different.
Jas himself was extrely stressed and of course he was, because all of the shit happened when he left the country behind to relax a bit, to unite with his family again.
Hector got shot, Finn got shot, family mbers fucking turned to rat, and enemies... it was just too much to handle and it was visible.
His breaths were deep ones, his eyes turned red, and he constantly just stared into the nothingness. Even Bella didn’t push him when she ca back, reuniting with him... he truly looked like a boss who is on the verge of ntally just collapsing and he had the reason for it.
Everything happened too fast. Since Rafael and Hans’s death, the business just bood, he suddenly turned into the boss of the criminal underworld without even moving a fucking kilo of drug and that was exactly what fucked him the most.
From the beginning he pretended to be a boss and with the ntality that everything is happening, he had no hand in it, he just says yes or no, and that it goes with his way. He didn’t even think more about that because it wasn’t him who did all of it.
He tricked himself but the trick was over when people started dying.
Yeah, Jas could handle the lies, could handle that his people were killing and trafficking drugs, but he couldn’t handle the main thing... the deaths. He couldn’t handle Rafael and Hans’s deaths and that was the mont everything ca crashing down.
The mont when he stopped pretending and did what he did and will do what needs to be done.
But all of this truly ca with ntal instability and struggles. He can’t think straight, can’t sleep well, and he decided to not take his pain pills because at least pain was real.
He was truly on the verge of maybe going crazy, so his mother Erika did what she thought was best.
She spiked his tea... and within five minutes the Jas who was stressing on everything, who ordered the death of many, fell to sleep.
Yeah, she spiked her son with the sa sleeping pills she thought of maybe overdosing on... to not feel anymore, to not be hurt by the reality anymore... just sleep and sleep in eternal darkness, where is no pain.
Just sleep and be peaceful... she thought about it a lot of tis, but couldn’t do it, couldn’t leave her last remaining child behind because she knew that if she did, Jas would just lose his mind, he would just think it all because of him and would truly beco sobody who not even remotely once was her son.
So with that, Jas slept through everything that was happening back at ho, but at least he slept well for several reasons.
One, the pill totally knocked him out as her mother decided to use two rather than the basic one dose, and second, he had a little human cuddling on him while sleeping giving him the warmth that he needed the most.
And that was Charlotte of course, who didn’t leave even for a second.
She was there with Jas, listening to him snoring like a fucking engine, but even Erika was there and they slept like a family, within each other’s comfort, within each other’s love, while Bella, Mike and Arine kept up with what was happening back at ho. But when they got the news that Finn is in stable condition and nobody else was injured or killed, all of them went to sleep too.
In a long fucking ti... they had peace, all of them slept in the biggest comfort without a thought about being assassinated, being kidnapped... they just slept without a single thought about their reality.
Though that comfortable dream world ca to an end when Jas finally woke up.
"Uhhh..." He sighed as he woke up and felt like he got hit by a fucking truck or sothing... well the pills truly knocked him out.
"You slept well." Mike’s voice ca from the side with a little laugh at the end and when Jas looked at him... he got more confused.
Mike was sitting on the couch with his fingers all painted in different colors.
"What... what happened?" Jas asked as he finally sat up cracking his neck and just being totally disoriented.
"Nothing, you just slept well." Mike answered, still smiling.
"Yeah... but I feel like I got beaten up." Jas said as he touched his upper body. "Like sobody hit on my ribcage."
"Oh, that was Charlotte, she slept next to you." Mike said as he witnessed at night Charlotte being possessed by sothing and kicking and punching in her dream and of course the target was Jas himself who didn’t even react to it being under the sleep pill magic. "Though I was about to wake you up as we only have an hour for the eting."
"eting..?" He asked back as he still was just checking his body and he had even marks on him, like he truly got beaten the shit up in his dream.
"Yeah, Darvik said it would be better today than tomorrow because he has sothing, so I scheduled it for seven."
"It’s seven in the morning?" Jas asked again, though he quickly realized sothing wasn’t right... Mike’s nails were painted and it was impossible that Charlotte woke up that early, and second, outside it looked like the sun was setting.
"It’s afternoon, Jas, you slept the whole day through." Mike answered him and it was the exact reaction he thought Jas would do.
He just looked at him with his eyes squinted, his head slightly tilted to the right, and his mouth open.
In short, disbelief.
What the fuck....
"But do not worry, Jas." Mike continued as he knew pretty much that Jas’s thought would imdiately go to what happened yesterday. "Everything is fine, Hector alive and well, he did what you ordered him to do, Finn is stable and up, and everybody is smooth."
Yeah well, as Mike said Jas heartbeat jumped the fuck up waking his body up.
"How many?"
"So far Hector found forty-five and dealt with them, and out of that number none of them had high roles in the family. Every single one of them were warehouse workers." Mike said and it was true as Hector didn’t go to sleep, nah, he went more and killed everybody who even looked like they could be a rat or turn against them. That’s how the number jumped up.
"That’s... a lot." Jas answered him as he started visibly getting stressed.
"But at least we caught them early." Mike said, trying to calm the situation a bit. "And well... there is another big piece of news."
"News?"
"Yeah, every single news in the whole Union is about this one, maybe the whole world." Mike said as he turned on the TV and he was right.
"Authorities report that more than one hundred and sixty organized cri affiliated individuals were killed during the coordinated special-operation raid. In addition to this, six high-ranking governnt officials were arrested, and seven others, also tied to organized cri and corruption, were killed during the operation. Officials emphasize that these figures remain unconfird and could rise as the investigation continues.
Earlier today, the President addressed the nation, calling the operation "the most successful step to finally live in peace." His statent was celebrated across much of the country, however, the Union has strongly condemned the brutality of the raid, noting that at least twenty innocent lives were lost. They are demanding further answers and accountability from the administration."
"I slept through... all of this?"
"Yeah."
"Oh... well... what the fuck."
