Two tons… that is fucking good. Jas thought, as it was indeed not just fucking good but more than he ever thought they would have, especially after all of this bullshit and his stand that they don't sell mixed white magic, but only the pure one.
With two tons, he could do the deal with Carllo, and moreover, so of it would remain with them, which he could deal with to others.
"That is good." He said as he looked at Dani. "Anything else? Or are we done?"
"Uh… well." Dani looked around at everything because they hadn't even sat down for half an hour and didn't even think about the main point they had gathered through. "I an, we went through the hierarchy of the family, the money and drug part, so I would say yeah, we are done in that aspect."
"Good. Anything else?" Jas asked again, looking around at everybody in the room.
"Not really, to be honest." Hector spoke. "We talked about the most important matters. Our money is good and will be better, and the production line will be built, but to be able to do that, we first need to talk to the governnt, and then we are done or more over we will start to progress even more."
Yeah, well… the thing Joseph had been thinking about was happening once again. Hector… Hector would do it.
He will make sure everything goes perfectly, makes sure it all looks good, flawless, seamless, like nothing could ever go wrong. But this ti it is not just about things going smoothly.
No, Jas had once again thought about it all, thought about how all of it would push the idea into people's minds, plant it like a seed, that Hector himself was the one running everything, that he was the one behind it all, not Joseph
And well… that's exactly the feeling Lucian had talked about… and in the end, his empire had fallen… the paranoia.
The sa fucking feeling that pushed Lucian slowly into his own darkness, the sa feeling that made the Lucian whole family fall… what he had built up brick by brick fell back, paranoia took over him, and even his friend beca his own enemy.
And this feeling was now playing out in Jas as well, but he didn't know why he was feeling it.
He hadn't even given a single fuck about the family. He was fcuking pretending, but now he felt it more than ever, felt his fear that he was paranoid against the man who was with him from the beginning, who helped him build the whole thing.
He hated that he felt this way. He hated that his own thoughts were turning against him. The man who had always been at his side suddenly looked different in his eyes.
Jas shook his head, trying to push it away, trying to force himself to think clearly, but the feeling would not leave.
It was not fear of failure, not exactly. It was sothing worse. It was fear that even the people closest to him could beco enemies without warning. And he knew, deep down, that once paranoia took hold, there was no turning back, but also knew that all of it ca because of what position he sat in right now.
From a broke college dropout, he suddenly beca the one single man who rules over the fucking country's drug market, a man who has so much power that it is fucking unbelievable, not just unbelievable but a story straight out of a movie.
Of course he felt that power, the fear, and the paranoia slowly creeping up on him. Moreover, because of what had happened, Rafael died, as well as Hans and now even his mother was in another country.
Great power always ca with a curse. He had built this empire, but the higher he climbed, the lonelier he beca.
"Jas?" Hector asked as Jas was just staring right at nothing in the biggest silence, though with this behavior he just made everything worse. When others think there's a problem, that's when things get worse, that's when trust and loyalty start to break apart.
So he knew he had to play it off.
"My leg… I need to check it out, it hurts like hell." He smiled. "Once we talk with the governnt, then we can have another eting where we go point by point, look at every little detail." He glanced at Daniel. "How can we make more money? How can we save that money? And of course, we need to talk about Maraci and the deals I made. But once again, we need to figure out what Linda exactly wants."
"That's good. At least I can look through every number once again to be sure of everything," Dani sighed as he leaned back.
"Oh, numbers," Jas began. "I made a deal so all the 3D-printed drones and guns we have will be sold, so it would be good to count how much we have and what price we should sell them at. And then, of course, set the production for more of them."
"I forgot about those." Dani whispered, and well, it wasn't just him.
" too," Hector laughed.
Printed weapons, bought everything to make it work and never really used them or sold any of it.
"Well, we are going to sell all of it and use the profit to print more, so more money will co in. Jas said as he slowly got up, putting his weight on the cane to act like he was truly hurt, which was why he was acting the way he did. "So be sure to get it through, Dani."
"I will." Dani answered as he stood up too.
"Good." Jas said but as he looked at Bella, he realized sothing else… the food. But he said nothing. No, he was fucked up enough. He just smiled and walked out of the office, and that was it.
The eting was over and Don Bellni was now official.
