"A star artifact?" Helena whispered, understanding that this was the star artifact Amon had likely gotten in the behemoth tower.
Amon held the star artifact and drew its blade.
Instantly, the already dark skies seed to darken even more…
Previously, Amon had obtained a star artifact from clearing all 10 levels of the behemoth tower.
Because of this, he had obtained a star artifact.
…and that star artifact was this sword!
Its slender blade glead with an intense death energy that seed to cause the surroundings to distort slightly.
Holding the blade that had multiple rings, they clashed together, causing a ringing sound to echo.
Clang… clang… clang…
Helena stared at the blade with a calm, slightly solemn expression on her face.
Amon smirked briefly and faced her. Holding the sword, he seed ready to battle at any mont.
Although the artifact looked like an ordinary sword crafted with special materials, it was far from ordinary.
It could double the power of one's attack and carried faint traces of destroying bits and pieces of one's soul.
That was the reason star artifacts were so dangerous.
Helena shifted her gaze from the star artifact back to Amon and paused briefly, her eyes flickering with contemplation.
"Hand over the heaven creation stone and I will pay you back with a treasure on the sa level."
Hearing Helena's words, Amon narrowed his eyes slightly and glanced at her, his expression unchanged.
Inwardly, however, he was slightly shocked.
This also confird his guess…
Amon hesitated briefly before replying in a candid manner.
"I used it."
Helena froze, her gaze remaining fixed on him for a few seconds before she nodded.
"I see…" After saying this, she turned around and didn't plan on engaging with Amon anymore.
Although there was no change in her expression, her heart was aggrieved.
She had suffered a truly huge loss.
One she couldn't stomach for a while.
'I have to make him pay in kind…' Helena's thoughts moved at lightning speed. 'And I know just how to go about it.'
With that, her foot patted the air lightly and she vanished.
Left alone, Amon glanced at the empty sea and then looked around for a short while, his mind filled with questions.
'Why did she leave just like that?'
He had expected Helena to at least react in so way…
'We stayed together for ten years and I still can't understand anything about her…'
He paused before adding, 'Aside from the fact that she considers humans as ants. But that information isn't helpful in this situation.'
Thinking of sothing, Amon brought out the mysterious coin and tossed it into the air while asking a question.
"Does she have a plan in mind concerning that is detrintal to ?"
His thoughts slowed to a crawl as the coin landed on his palm.
Taking a look at it, Amon's eyes narrowed and his heart skipped a beat.
"It's just as I guessed…" he whispered solemnly, gazing down at the snake head being reflected back at him.
He thought for a mont before asking sothing else.
"Will her plans lead to my death?"
Amon's heart pounded faintly as he tossed it into the air.
The coin spun slightly, and as it descended, a strange wind blew, causing it to go off trajectory and fall into the water.
'Uncertain…' Amon guessed internally and deactivated the gift, causing the coin to return to him internally. Whenever he willed it, it would appear back in his grasp.
Thinking for a bit, Amon held the sword firmly.
Clang… clang… clang…
In the silence of the night, the sound of the rings on the artifact clashing together resounded as Amon executed his movent technique, chasing in the direction Helena had left in.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
His speed was extrely swift as he traversed a few kiloters in the blink of an eye.
Unfortunately, Helena was nowhere to be seen.
'She's probably returned to the academy.' Amon's movents ca to a stop as he pondered thoughtfully.
He frowned at the thought.
If that was the case, eliminating her would beco far more difficult than he had anticipated.
'I need to find a way to lure her out of the academy just like she did to … still, will I be able to kill her?'
That was the question tugging at Amon's mind.
Helena seed too mysterious, to the point that he doubted she didn't have any counterasures pertaining to her death.
'Besides, there are all sorts of mysterious gifts in this world…
…like how I divine things. What if soone finds out I killed her?'
Amon felt a headache and suppressed the thought.
If he had the opportunity, he would think twice about killing her.
Handling everything would co soon after…
With that, Amon glanced around briefly before summoning Aegon.
"Change into a little dragon and carry us atop the island…"
"Okay…" Aegon nodded, then shapeshifted into a western dragon.
Amon climbed atop it and was carried onto the island.
After reaching the island, he sneakily used his invisibility gift to head back to his staying place.
"It's been more than ten years, but here it doesn't feel like ti has moved at all…"
As Amon reached the familiar house, he gazed at it with a hint of lancholy in his heart.
mories of the past ten years in the unique star gate flashed through his mind, and he suppressed them before stepping inside.
Settling down to cultivate, ti drifted on like spring's breeze…
…
The next morning soon arrived, and after freshening up, Amon t up with Natasha before they left for their respective classes.
'Unfortunately, I couldn't take out the thirteenth scripture of the legends of the unfettered one,' Amon thought with so regret.
Damien would have loved to get his hands on those.
With a light sigh, he pushed open the door and noticed Damien casually reading through a few papers…
"Not sleeping today?" Amon joked with a smile.
Damien raised his gaze to et Amon.
"Nah. I sensed a temporal disturbance, as though ti had been altered sowhat. Paid attention to it, so I was disturbed all night… a little…" Damien clarified with a smile as he leaned back in his chair.
Amon stared at Damien in surprise.
"A temporal disturbance?
'And ti being altered sowhat? Didn't that just happen to ? Was the whole thing related to in so way?' Amon guessed faintly in his heart, keeping his expression neutral.
"It's nothing serious. Everything seed to have settled after barely a few minutes…"
Damien explained and picked up sothing akin to a dicinal pill.
However, Amon was slightly dazed by Damien's perception.
Although to Damien it might have seed like a few minutes, to him and Helena, they had spent more than ten years inside there!
Amon hesitated on whether to tell Damien or not, before ultimately deciding against it.
There was no particular reason.
Amon just felt he had to get to know the instructor so more before choosing whether to trust him or not.
"Got sothing to say?" Damien asked, seeing that Amon was still staring in silence.
"Nothing," Amon replied dismissively, then changed the topic. "What are we learning today? The other classes are already ahead of us, you know?"
Damien shrugged.
"As long as you have sufficient strength, other things co easily."
He pondered thoughtfully for a few seconds, and seeing Amon stare at him speechlessly, let out an awkward cough.
"Well… why don't I teach you another battle art?"
Hearing this, Amon's eyes lit up instantly.
