"Push! Keep pushing, ma’am..."

The voice of a nurse, filled with urgency, cut through the air.

Ragged breaths escaped the lips of the woman lying on the hospital bed, her body trembling from the strain of childbirth.

After a few more painful pushes, the baby was safely delivered.

A joyful smile spread across the nurse’s face as she signaled her colleague to inform the husband.

Nodding, the other nurse quickly hurried out, a similar smile brightening her features.

The doctor overseeing the entire process let out a quiet breath and nodded in relief. There had been no complications.

The mont the nurse stepped outside, she was t by a middle-aged man pacing anxiously through the corridor.

Although he tried to maintain a calm expression, the tension in his face gave him away. It was obvious how worried he was about the situation inside.

The instant he saw the nurse erge, his anxiety intensified.

Then she smiled.

"Congratulations, sir!"

She never got the chance to finish her sentence.

A wave of relief and excitent surged through Amon as he rushed past her and into the hospital room.

Inside, his wife lay sprawled across the bed, exhausted but smiling.

Beside her stood a nurse holding a tiny infant, carefully wiping her with a warm, damp towel.

The sweet scent of a newborn filled the room, and an indescribable warmth settled over everyone’s hearts.

The mont Amon’s gaze landed on the little girl, the smile on his face briefly froze.

A flicker of shock crossed his features before he swiftly concealed it beneath a gentle smile.

Taking his daughter from the nurse, he smiled faintly and lightly nudged her tiny nose.

"What should we call you, my little princess?" The excitent in Amon’s voice was impossible to hide.

After all, the mont he laid eyes on his daughter...

A series of glowing words materialized before him.

...

[System initializing.]

[Congratulations on obtaining the fate sign-in system.]

[Using the system, for every day your daughter is alive, you can obtain 1 Fate Point.]

[Note: These Fate Points can be used to sign in or enhance any stat slot to a higher rank.]

[Upgrades up to SSS-rank cost 1 Fate Point. However, grades of talents above that require a higher amount of Fate Points.]

...

In truth, Amon wasn’t originally from this world.

Ten years ago, he had transmigrated after dying in a plane crash.

His predecessor belonged to a noble family, but because he was unawakened, he was killed.

As such, after transmigrating, Amon quickly relocated and stayed as far away from them as possible.

A few years later, after successfully blending into this world, he entered a relationship with Kayla.

Two years after that, they got married.

Unfortunately, despite transmigrating, his system had never activated.

Whenever he summoned it, only a blank screen greeted him.

Although Amon felt sowhat dissatisfied, he couldn’t complain.

He had a beautiful wife.

And now, a daughter.

That was the case until now...

A system had finally been added to the mix.

...

"How about the na we discussed?" Kayla gently interrupted his thoughts.

Amon paused before nodding.

Turning toward the little infant, who stared back with wide, curious eyes, he smiled.

"In that case, we’ll call you Ciara... Ciara Moonstone."

As though acknowledging the beautiful na, Ciara’s tiny fingers reached toward Amon’s face.

Amon brought one finger closer, and she imdiately grabbed it, her grip tightening as though she refused to let go.

"She really likes you, huh?" Kayla chuckled softly.

Amon smiled.

"Yeah, she does."

What he didn’t know was that Ciara’s eyes were darting between the two in utter confusion.

’What’s going on? Where... am I?’

She stared at them blankly.

’System?’

The thought appeared instinctively.

It was the first thing she could think of after realizing her situation resembled the transmigration webnovels she used to read.

’In my previous life, I was returning from work when I noticed a truck about to hit a kid and...’

Her mories abruptly stopped there.

She turned her attention back to the couple.

The young man had long dark hair and a tall, handso appearance.

His looks surpassed every model she could rember from her previous life.

And then there was the woman on the bed.

Despite her disheveled hair and obvious exhaustion, her beauty remained impossible to conceal.

’These are my... parents?’

As the thought surfaced, her system finally completed its initialization.

[System initializing complete. Do you wish to explore its functions?]

’Good! I have a system...’

Excitent imdiately filled Ciara’s heart.

She didn’t feel safe being in an unfamiliar world. Having a system was always useful.

’Show your functions!’

The command was issued instantly.

Monts later, her eyes widened dramatically as she read the words appearing before her.

...

Completely unaware that his newborn daughter was anything but ordinary, Amon spent so ti playing with Ciara before she eventually drifted off to sleep.

The ntal strain of transmigrating into a new world while occupying the body of an infant had finally caught up to her.

After gently placing her in the small bed assigned to her, he turned toward his wife.

"Are you alright, honey?"

Kayla released a shaky breath.

Her face was still filled with smiles.

"Just tired, that’s all."

"Get so rest, okay?"

Amon leaned forward and pressed a kiss against her lips.

"Okay," Kayla replied softly before waving him goodbye.

...

The mont he stepped out of the hospital ward, the warmth vanished from Amon’s expression.

A serious look settled on his face.

Without hesitation, he called out inwardly.

’System.’

The familiar blue holographic display appeared before him.

[Do you wish to sign in?]

’I can sign in?’

Amon asked curiously.

No reply ca.

After pondering briefly, he glanced around before ntally confirming.

The blue screen flashed.

A new series of words appeared.

[Due to this being your first sign-in with the system, you have received Heaven-Defying rewards!]

[Congratulations on obtaining the Elegant Netherblade Sword Technique. Rank: Divine.]

[Congratulations on receiving the Enhanced Primordial Physique. Rank: Divine.]

[Congratulations on receiving the Winter Frost Blade. Rank: Divine.]

A stunned expression appeared on Amon’s face.

’What the hell is Divine rank?’

According to the mories he possessed, the highest rank on Earth was Mythical.

Items of such rank were so rare that only three had ever been discovered worldwide.

At least, that was what every news outlet claid.

One had to understand how vast this planet was.

It was at least ten tis larger than Earth.

Yet only three Mythical-ranked items had ever surfaced.

As for Divine-ranked treasures?

They simply didn’t exist.

The re thought made Amon’s head feel swollen.

Then suddenly, his body underwent a profound transformation.

Amon’s veins writhed beneath his skin like living serpents.

His teeth clenched.

Staggering toward the wall, he gripped the nearby door handle with enough force to whiten his knuckles.

The pain was unbearable.

The integration of his new Divine physique was anything but gentle.

It felt as though countless ants were crawling through every cell in his body.

Amon’s eyes turned bloodshot.

Fortunately, the agony eventually subsided.

Though to him, it felt like hours had passed.

Amon gasped heavily, struggling to regain his bearings.

Before he could fully recover, a torrent of information flooded his mind.

The sword technique.

At the sa ti, he could feel his strength increasing at a rate visible to the naked eye.

Closing his eyes, he imrsed himself in the sensation.

While adapting to his newfound power, he also began assimilating the profound technique pouring into his consciousness.

Ti passed quietly.

Before long, Amon had changed beyond recognition.

Previously standing at 5’10, he now stood at an imposing 6’3.

His already handso appearance had beco even more refined.

Sharp eyebrows frad intense dark-blue eyes that carried a natural dignity.

Every trace of excess fat had vanished from his body, leaving behind a perfectly sculpted physique.

A faint coldness lingered within his gaze, a byproduct of the sword intent taking root in his mind.

Amon touched his face in disbelief.

He hadn’t expected such a dramatic transformation.

’This is... crazy...’

He slowly exhaled.

A mont later, he heard footsteps.

Turning his head, he spotted soone several ters away.

’My sight, sll, and hearing have all been enhanced drastically...’

Amon silently analyzed the changes.

A few seconds later, the approaching figure finally arrived.

It was his coworker, Mark.

Grinning broadly, Mark raised a hand.

"Congrats, man. You’re a father now!"

Amon returned the smile and nodded.

"Yeah. It’s the start of a crazy new life."

The two fell silent.

Mark already knew Amon wasn’t particularly talkative.

After a mont of hesitation, a conflicted expression crossed his face.

Eventually, he decided to speak.

"Hey, man. Have you heard what’s been happening lately?"

Amon raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue.

Most of his attention was usually directed toward work. He rarely bothered with social dia, viewing it as little more than a distraction.

"I heard there’s a cult causing problems for the Awakeners Association."

Mark carefully chose his words.

Amon’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Mark released a slow breath before continuing.

"That’s not even the worst part. I heard they only target children. Infants and young kids."

His voice dropped into a whisper.

"And they sacrifice them..."

"What?"

A shocked expression appeared on Amon’s face.

Studying Mark closely, he found no signs of deception.

He knew Mark well enough to trust him.

A faint crease ford between his brows.

"An organization that kidnaps infants?"

His voice turned noticeably colder.

"They’d better not harbor designs on my precious daughter, or..."

A chilly breeze drifted through the corridor, gently stirring the hospital curtains.

"I’d wipe them out."

Mark stared at him blankly.

He had known Amon for years.

They worked in the sa Mana Stone mine.

Yet for so reason, a chill suddenly ran down his spine.

Confused, he shook his head and dismissed the feeling.

After all, Amon was just an ordinary unawakened person like him.

There was very little either of them could do to change the way the world worked.
