[First Meeting]
"This is Nyx. She is an overly ambitious young lady who seems to think that one day, she will bee an Underworld Queen. A rather ridiculous idea, considering she wasnt` even selected when she tried to join the Ninth Underworld Army."
The Hell Monarch said, his expression filled with ridicule. He then turned to Bilad, who was still in shock at standing between two people he never knew he would meet in person in this life.
"And this is her best friend Bilad, who, even if he is going to die, and he knew it, he would still stand by his friend’s side. He is a good person for sure, and she is lucky to have someone like him in her twisted life."
After introducing them, he turned to Kent and chuckled, "They are the only two who can stand in as Hell King or Hell Queen while away. Use this time to get to know them and take your pick. I will go plan your death match."
"Looking forward to it."
Kent smirked when the Hell King vanished from sight.
He turned to face Nyx, who was staring at him with widened eyes.
"Very ambitious indeed. For a mere Immortal King to think about usurping the throne and being an underworld Queen, I am impressed," Kent laughed, his heavenly jade eye revealing everything.
Nyx flinched when she heard what Kent said.
However, before she could say anything, Bilad stepped in. "Pleasure meeting you, Blood Reaper. I have to say, you are much more impressive in person. However, to think you are just a core formation stage warrior... are you really from a High world?"
Kent smiled. "No... I am actually from a medium world, yet to ascend."
"Damn... Nyx was right... you really are a monster."
Kent laughed and turned to Nyx, who was still staring at him like she wanted to devour him. "You look hungry, Nyx. Do you wanna devour me?"
Kent asked, and Bilad exploded in laughter.
"Just so you know, I am very delicious."
Despite being in the presence of two immortals, Kent wasn’t even remotely intimidated. Of course, they can easily kill him... that much is true...
However, he wasn’t afraid, not because he knew the Hell Monarch wouldn’t allow it, but because he was that confident he would be fine even if they attacked him.
Perhaps it may be due to his bloodline, but he wasn’t afraid, and that spoke volumes...
"Nyx is just flustered after meeting her hero... trust me, she was rooting for you to win the Hell Road challenge. Maybe you should sign your autograph on her weapon. Trust me, she will be very—"
Bilad was sent flying several miles away when Nyx couldn’t handle enough of his shamelessness.
Kent could only laugh and watch Nyx blush. "Sorry about him. He has a few screws loose..."
"I don’t mind. And between the two of us, I don’t mind signing my autograph anywhere you want me to... Anywhere." Kent winked at her with a gaze pointing at places he shouldn’t dare look at.
Nyx turned away to hide her blush.
Bilad arrived and saw everything, allowing him to see the blush on Nyx’s face.
Bilad and Kent started teasing her. After an hour, when she couldn’t stand it anymore, she blurted out her inner demons.
"Can you help me bee an Underworld Queen? I mean, when you bee strong enough."
Kent smiled and shook his head. "I can’t help because you are already an Underworld Queen from where I came from..."
Bilad and Nyx became stunned hearing Kent’s reply.
"What?"
Bilad asked, his expression calm yet questioning.
"True. I am 370,000 years in the past. But since we are in Hell, where time is ten times faster, that will be 3.7 million years. However, in the future, you will indeed bee an Underworld Queen.
Of course, I have no idea how it happened, but I am sure I wasn’t the one who helped you.
This means you must believe in yourself and don’t give up your dream—who knows, you might just bee a queen soon... not that you aren’t already a queen. In my eyes, you are more than a queen." Kent winked, and Nyx smiled.
She turned to Bilad. "I told you I will bee a Queen one day."
"You did, Nyx, and it seems you succeeded. I am happy for you in advance."
Kent smiled and then turned to Bilad. "This means you will help me rule Hell for 3.7 million years.
Maybe even more... after all, I can’t stay here forever. I have to go back, and thanks to the Hell Monarch’s generosity, he will allow me to keep my Hell King status by allowing one of you to rule in my absence.
Of course, he will allow both of you to meet any day..."
"He accepts your offer," Nyx answered before Bilad could reject Kent’s offer.
"You," Bilad was left stunned. "But who would help you bee an Underworld Queen... If I bee a Hell King, I can’t help you."
"Stupid... do you think being a Hell King is something that can be offered so casually? Better grab this offer before it slips away.
As for helping me bee an Underworld Queen, don’t worry. Since it is meant to happen, then naturally, it will happen."
Knowing she would bee an Underworld Queen in the future gave her the confidence she may have lacked before. Of course, knowing about the future is risky.
If one knew what happened to them, they would be inclined to make changes that would alter the timeline. However, what Kent told her was just a reveal, not anything concrete that would change anything.
She knew she would bee an Underworld Queen, but she had no idea how to go about it. This means she would follow the original timeline, allowing things to unfold as they were meant to.
"She is right. You should grab this chance. She will be fine," Kent said, and Bilad entered a plex inner thought—one that lasted for ten minutes before he accepted Kent’s offer.
"Great... All I have left is to kill the remaining nine City Lords and the Hell King in one big duel to the death," Kent laughed, causing Nyx and Bilad to shake their heads.
They learned some interesting things about Kent, giving them a clear image of what kind of monster he was.
They tried to e to terms with his nature, but after a few headaches, they accepted the fact that some monsters just don’t have equals.
A few hours later, an announcement about the change to the Hell Road challenge spread everywhere.
Instead of city-to-city dominance, it would be one big battle in the Damnation Hell Arena. Nobody saw this ing; however, they were all excited for this battle.
In three days, Kent would be facing the City Lords of Dravok, the City of Bones; Sarnok, the City of Silence; Vorgath, the City of Hunger; Tzaryth, the City of Whispers; Phorak, the City of Molten Iron; Zerath, the City of Storms; Obryss, the City of Blood; Nytheris, the City of Frostfire; and Draemora, the City of Nightmares.
On top of that, the Hell King, Fallen Angel Bliz, would also be joining the battle in what promised to be the first of its kind.
