"AAAAARRRGGGHHHH!"

Somewhere in the Celestial Realm, a fat man about the size of a mansion let out a scream so loud that the planet he was on trembled vigrously. He was so fat that his very skin looked as though it was about to peel off.

Every inhabitant on the planet turned pale, their bodies ing to a halt at the sound of the man’s scream.

"BASTARD KENT MADSON!"

Across his skin, faint black flames crawled, slowly eating away at it and melting the fat. This man was once known as the Devouring God, but now he was a Celestial and one of the most powerful ones.

Back when he was still a god, he had chanced upon a fruit known as devil’s fruit during one of his explorations. This fruit possessed several unique properties, one of which was the ability to divide the body.

By eating it, one could split their body into four. He had done exactly that, sending one body to the Immortal Realm, another to the God Realm, the third to the Supreme Realm, and finally keeping the last in the Celestial Realm.

He was known as Lord Deckins in his Immortal body, but Nakpel in his Celestial body, which could be considered his main body.

Across all four bodies, he was extremely wealthy and loved to eat. After all, his unique Devourer Constitution allowed him to gain power primarily through eating. Having four bodies, all dedicated to consuming treasures and delicacies, was incredibly convenient.

However, today, just as he was served a table full of meals prepared from Celestial-grade ingredients, he sensed someone attacking his Immortal body. To his shock, the pain transferred to his other bodies.

Somewhere in the God Realm and the Supreme Realm, he released the same agonising scream and slowly began to experience the torture his Immortal body was enduring.

Even more heartbreaking, he could do nothing but endure the pain for hours.

After hours of agonising torture, his Immortal body finally died, causing a fragment of his soul to shatter. It would take a tremendous amount of time—and an even greater amount of eating—to repair the damage.

However, no matter what he did, he would never be able to create another Immortal body.

"Kent Madson..." he gritted through clenched teeth.

With a wave of his hand, he vanished, reappearing several million miles away from the planet he had been on.

His new destination was a cave suspended in the depths of the cosmos. Despite his enormous size, he walked forward with heavy, earth-shaking steps before entering the cave.

A few minutes later, he emerged, now holding an item that resembled the head of a tiger.

Once outside, he slashed his palm, drawing blood. Then he brought his dripping hand closer to the item and allowed his blood to drip onto it.

ROAR!

A thunderous roar erupted from the item.

The next moment, it transformed into a gigantic tiger that stood with an imposing presence. Its white-and-red fur rippled with overwhelming power, while each of its four legs was encased in metallic, gauntlet-like armour that ended in razor-sharp talons.

Its tail split into four whip-like appendages, each ending in the head of a venomous snake. Aside from that, it possessed metallic teeth and a pair of metallic horns.

"ROAR!"

It released another earth-shaking roar before lowering its massive head toward the mountain of fat, whose expression remained as ugly as ever. Celestial Lord Nakpel was furious, and he wanted blood.

"Go to the Immortal Realm and kill the one called Kent Madson. I don’t care what you have to do—make sure he dies, and that his body is shredded to pieces," he manded.

The tiger nodded.

One of its clawed legs swung forward, tearing open the fabric of space and revealing a dark abyss. With a single leap, it disappeared into the void, and the rift closed behind it.

"Kent Madson, I will show you that in this universe, not everyone is someone you can afford to mess with."

He waved his hand once more and returned to the planet.

Kent, of course, had no idea that something like this had happened. However, even if he knew, he wouldn’t think much of it. After all, in his eyes, if humans couldn’t kill him, then spirit treasures wouldn’t be able to do anything to him either.

If only he knew...

---

Kent stared at the charred, melted corpse of Lord Deckins, who, after twenty-four hours of torture, couldn’t endure it any longer—or rather, Kent had finally allowed him to die.

Now, he had been reduced to a lump of charred flesh, and considering how unbelievably fat he had been, even his skin had melted under the heat of the flames.

"Serves you right. Next time, be sure to live a righteous life and never enslave people." He smirked before turning to look around the dining hall.

[Master, I don’t think this man was a plete person.] Tower suddenly spoke, making Kent frown slightly.

"What do you mean?"

[Usually, when you kill a person or beast, I receive their plete soul essence. However, this man only gave me a quarter of his soul. That can only mean one thing...]

"He was a partial body."

[Yes. However, I also sense something peculiar about his soul. While he is one part of a whole divided into four, his soul is the weakest, which means his other bodies may have already reached higher realms. It also means they are aware that you killed one of their bodies, and of course, they will e after you.]

Kent smiled faintly.

"Well, what’s done is done, so we can only hope the person whose body I just killed is the reasonable kind."

Tower transformed into her humanoid form and looked at Kent with a deadpan expression.

[Master, you just killed someone’s partial body, and you think they’re going to be reasonable about it?]

"I mean, if you look at it from my perspective, he had enslaved a great warrior who fought for the universe, so death was as merciful as I could be," he replied with a grin.

[Unbelievable.]

Kent simply laughed before turning to the most important part of the entire ordeal.

"Gather the items and his treasures so we can be on our way."

Kent waved his hand, and Kenna, one of his Soul Warriors who specialised in severing soul connections, appeared.

"Free the slaves."

She nodded and vanished from the hall.

[Uhm, Master, it appears we won’t be having any luck today. The man stored all of his treasures inside a secret dimension shared with his other bodies. The only way to obtain them is to kill his remaining bodies.]

"Of course, he would have something like that. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been buying treasures as though he had no better use for his money."

Kent smirked and walked out of the room.

Outside, he saw that his Shadow Fiends had already subdued the guards. Kenna was also busy removing the slave collars from everyone.

Seeing that everything was in order, Kent headed toward the building where Meiko was sleeping. When he arrived, he found that she was still unconscious. He sat beside her and quietly waited for her to wake up.

A couple of minutes later, Kenna entered the room. With a flick of her hand, the slave collar around Meiko’s neck fell to the ground.

"That was the last one, Master."

"Thank you, Kenna. You can go back now. If I need anything else, I’ll call for you."

She nodded before returning to the Soul Universe to continue her cultivation.

Three hours later, Meiko slowly opened her eyes.

"Rise and shine, Meiko," Kent said with a broad smile.
