One of the skills Kent learned during his enlightenment was the Dimensional Reflection Slash.
It allows him to reflect attacks back at the attacker.
However, there is a catch.
The skill depends on two things.
The first is the grade of the skill used by the attacker. If the grade of that skill is lower than Kent's, then it can be reflected.
However, if it's higher than Kent's skill grade, he wouldn't even be able to activate the skill, for he would simply know.
But it's more plicated than that. This is where the second factor es in.
Aside from the skill grade, the second factor is the attack power behind the skill.
Kent has high attack power, which makes even an Earth-grade skill dangerous in his arsenal. The logic is simple: the higher the attack power, the perilous the skill.
So, in this case, if the attack power behind the opponent's skill is greater than his, then regardless of the skill grade, he wouldn't be able to reflect it back to the attacker.
However, who is Kent?
He has broken a limit that was placed on him and entered a new phase of evolution, where he can continue growing stronger without even levelling up.
This means that while he may not yet have the body to unleash an attack using all his power, when one es against him, he can simply reflect it because the dimensional reflection Slash skill doesn't depend on body power but innate attack power.
His crescent arcs were raining down on Protector Navarro, who didn't know he had called doom upon himself when he unleashed his skill out of frustration.
The giant spear appeared and descended on Kent.
However, just when it was within a meter of him, the lock it had on Kent vanished—then it appeared again in the clouds, locking onto Protector Navarro.
"What…" the alarmed protector muttered as he felt his own skill target him.
"Have you ever heard the phrase 'Back to sender'?" Kent laughed, unleashing another set of 450 sword arcs and multiplying them using the Thousand Blade Reflection, causing it to bee more than 4000 sword arcs.
Boom.
Kent's attack and the giant spear descended on Protector Navarro, sending him flying.
A deep cut appeared on his chest, showing just how much he had taken on. Kent, of course, didn't give him a breather.
He lunged forward, aiming another attack at his eye.
However, just when he was a few steps from Protector Navarro, his sixth sense rang out, causing him to stop right when a dangerous dark spear erupted from the ground.
Kent couldn't evade it in time, and it was too late to return it to the sender. He tried his best to dodge, causing the spear to graze his arm.
⟦Urgent: You have been poisoned⟧
A notification appeared in Kent's vision, confirming what he was already feeling inside. He could feel the poison entering his body, threatening to boil him from within.
However, he simply used the [Rule Breaker] skill, cutting off the effect of the poison. It was as if he hadn't been poisoned at all.
Naturally, this also meant that even if he were to drink poison again, for the next 24 hours, he wouldn't be affected.
But that was just one effect of the skill Protector Navarro had used.
Kent had to move back several steps just to evade all the spears that started shooting from the ground. The kingdom protector seemed humiliated and furious at what the sneaky Kent was doing to him.
Kent was moving back quickly as he kept evading the dozens of spears ing at him from the ground.
However, the moment he moved back, Protector Navarro had the chance to recover, allowing him to get back into the battle.
But, of course, that would depend on whether or not he could hurt the sneaky Kent, who just wouldn't allow himself to be caught at a disadvantage.
It's quite shocking, in fact. Kent isn't giving Protector Navarro face at all.
Far from the battlefield, Sword King Shawn and two others are watching the battle with shocked expressions. The two with him are elders from the Light Sword Sect—Elder Matin and Elder Dan.
"Sect Master, just how is this possible?" Elder Dan, a rather handsome fellow with short dark hair, asked. He looks like someone who has a good head on his body.
"I am as shocked as you, Dan. This isn't what I was expecting at all," Sword King Shawn said, watching Kent exchange attacks with Protector Navarro.
"He has surpassed all of us and isn't even a Transcendent yet. Just how can a person be this monstrous?"
The two elders behind him nodded.
"I hope you won't be stepping down as Sect Master anytime soon, Sword King," Elder Matin asked, trying to see the way forward.
After Kent met with Sword King Shawn, the infamous swordsman of the human continent began having second thoughts about not having the means to help Kent.
He had already gained a lot from him, yet he couldn't even help him once.
This made him start to feel guilty and useless. So, after a few internal struggles, he called his two trusted friends and elders and informed them that he would be stepping down as Sect Master of the Sword Light Sect.
This way, he could help Kent without the sect suffering in his stead. The only thing that was holding him back was the many lives he was nurturing in the sword light sect.
The moment he steps down and cuts connection with them, they wouldn't be targeted regardless of what he does from here onwards.
However, watching now, he knew that the battle was already in Kent's hands—with or without him.
"I will be stepping down, but I won't sever ties with the sect like I initially planned," Sword King Shawn said, shocking the two elders.
"What..." they exclaimed. "Where would you be going?"
"Kent offered me a chance to bee a Sword Emperor and finally step into the Sovereign stage. So I plan on taking it.
I will be away from the sect for years, but before leaving, I will make arrangements that won't disrupt its flow, regardless of what happens in my absence."
"And don't worry. Kent promised to help two people of my choosing gain the talent to bee Core Formation experts one day. This is why I brought you two today.
I want you to bear witness and perhaps learn a thing or two about our benefactor"
Their jaws dropped upon hearing what their Sect Master had just said.
They dream of being Kingdom Protectors and are now being given that opportunity.
"Don't look too shocked. The future of the Sword Light Sect will rest on your shoulders, so you better be prepared," Sword King Shawn said with a smile.
Elder Matin and Dan nodded.
Suddenly, a powerful boom rocked the battlefield.
Turning around, a headless body could be seen slammed to the ground. Up in the air, Veydris looked around with his bloody colossal sword still in his grip.
After surveying the area for a few seconds, he stepped back into the void, leaving behind the headless body that once belonged to a Level 8 Sovereign who had tried to sneak up on Kent.
