From feeling shy to falling into the arms of the one she was shy of... such a classic thing that only happens around the Chaos Dragon, who couldn’t decide when to make a lady blush a little and when to knock them off their feet—literally.
Kent held Princess Arien in his arms, and what should have felt like a couple of seconds to the beautiful princess now felt like a lifetime.
Kent’s beautiful purple eyes looked into hers, and while he could indeed pete for the universe’s most handsome, he still paled pared to most foxkin men in Fedora or most mean in the high worlds and immortal worlds.
However, that didn’t stop the princess’s ears and tail from twitching as he held her in his arms.
When her mind came back to her senses, she immediately pulled away, causing Kent to smile.
Princess Arien walked a little faster, creating distance between herself and Kent.
Behind them, Princess Lyra couldn’t hold back her laughter as she watched her sister’s flustered behavior.
Looking at her sister behaving like Cinderella made her burst out laughing. Thankfully, she missed her best friend Dori too much, so after a couple of laughs, she held back.
Eventually, Kent caught up with Princess Arien, who tried to move away again, but Kent spoke before she could walk away.
"I wonder what you wanted to ask so badly you ended up falling into my arms. Not that I’m plaining." At first, she tried not to answer, but eventually, she spoke.
"I just wanted to know how breaking a limit felt."
"It felt great," Kent answered, and Princess Arien paused in her steps, nearly causing Kent to bump into her. Not that he would’ve minded that.
"I am not asking it in that way... I want to know your experience from the moment you reached your limit to the point when you broke that limit."
Kent smiled. "You should have led with that. But to tell you the truth, my limit came out of nowhere, and before I realized it, it was broken.
However, the feeling is like..." Kent didn’t know how to put it, so he started turning around until his gaze landed on a tall mountain far in the distance.
"The feeling was like this. Take this mountain as an example—imagine it as an obstacle in front of you that you couldn’t break. No matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t break it.
Now, imagine you wake up one day and suddenly find a way to break it, which, in my case, requires me to climb the mountain.
Then consider this feeling: the higher you climb, the stronger you bee until you reach the top.
When you get to the top, you realize that if you were at the bottom again, a flick of your hand can easily obliterate the mountain. That is how it feels, and trust me, you will enjoy it when you reach that level and break your limit."
Princess Arien smiled defeatedly. It felt like a joke hearing that she would one day reach the limit and even break it. Had it not been for Dori, even her father wouldn’t know why he couldn’t break through due to this limit.
And while they know now, the things that go into reaching that level are something she just doesn’t see herself achieving.
"Thank you for telling me about your experience, but I don’t see myself reaching that limit just yet. But thank you," she said with a quiet smile.
"No need to look down on yourself. Reaching the limit is not that difficult. All you need is a much higher spirit root.
Of course, you are already at the Spirit Ascension stage, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t raise the grade of your spirit root," Kent said, and Princess Arien nodded.
"I know that. Lady Tala already told us that.
However, the reason why I said I don’t see myself reaching the first limit is that the item we can use to raise our spirit root grade is not something that can be acquired easily, and with the state of our world at this time, we can’t even start to think about chasing after it.

Princess Arien is a swordswoman currently at the Sword Sage stage despite being at the Spirit Ascension stage.
However, despite lagging behind Sword King Shawn, she has battled many Spirit Kings and walked away with her life intact.
She even clashed with a few Spirit Emperors, which means she must possess a relatively strong foundation. Naturally, most of her power es from her ability to control space energy.
She has six tails, which, per the bloodline of the Fox race, means the higher the number of tails one possesses, the greater their strength when it es to controlling space energy.
Though her prehension of space energy is just at the Very High level, still two levels from reaching the Perfect stage, she can use it in bat, and that alone gave her some upper hand even when clashing with those higher in realms than her.
So, she is powerful, but slowly losing confidence since she doesn’t know when she can break that limit and bee even more powerful, and finally ensure her people are safe.
’Ah, what the hell, one of those fruits is just 100,000 tower points. I can practically transform her and her race into a bunch of freaks anyway.
However, I must wait for now and see what they decide. I am not petty, but a pretty face also won’t make me throw in all my wealth.’
