The crater that Kent jumped into is about 1500 km deep. A testant to how devastating that teorite was. The deeper he fell, the darker it beca. It was like falling into the Abyss forest all over again.
The darkness is endless, but he knew there was a button deep sowhere.
However, as he continued to fall deeper, the area around him started to grow hot, indicating he was nearing a lava pool.
Thankfully, he didn't reach that deep, since after falling about 1200 km, he saw a large hollow cave through his soul map that seed to have been ford by the explosion. This took away the need to create his own cave.
He quickly stabilised himself and entered without any hesitation. The mont he did, a Tier 14 formation opened and enveloped the cave.
It was one of the formations Alina prepared for him before he left. She didn't want her man to lack the basic tools that would co in handy in situations like this.
This formation creates the illusion that there is no cave there. But even if the cave was discovered, it is strong enough to withstand so of the attacks long enough for Kent to make his move.
"Tower, is the bastard still watching ?" Kent asked after creating an ice bed and sat down in a lotus posture.
[No, master. I have harnessed the power of the soul universe to block his senses. Unless he put so effort into it, he wouldn't be able to find you down here. However, the mont you leave here, he would start seeing you again.]
"Good. How about his strength? Do you have an idea?"
[Not really. But based on the energy from his gaze and killing intent, he is within the first three stages of immortality. So there is a chance he is Root, Core, or Spirit Immortal.]
"As long as he is not a True Immortal, I have nothing to worry about. Even if I can't kill him, I can make a run for it long enough to co up with a solid plan."
Kent knew the person whose gaze he sensed must be inside the Void Temple, so he knew they would et one way or another soon.
But until they et, he now has the ti to strengthen himself. Until his two cores are saturated, he wouldn't make a move against the Void Temple.
This ans if he had to, he would kill every last beast in the forest.
He only hopes there are no nasty surprises waiting for him up there.
"Everything will take care of itself in due ti." With that, Kent brought out over a hundred thousand blood essences and began absorbing them.
He never expected to make this much harvest in only a few minutes after he entered the Void Forest. At most, he expected to kill a few tens of thousands, then make a run for it.
However, with the teor shower, he was able to do ten tis that. So all he could do was absorb and hope that in due ti, his cultivation would rise to the Peak of the Heavenly Ascension stage.
After about 20 minutes, a ssage appeared in his vision.
This sudden level-up gave Kent so much of a boost in strength that he couldn't help letting a smile appear on his face. His strength increased a lot, but aside from that, the amount of blood essence he could harness into his attacks also increased.
To many, a minor level-up was rely a drop in a large pool. But to Kent, who had ford two large blood cores instead of one, just this single boost was all he needed to bridge the gap between him and Root Immortals.
From the mont his strength reached Level 4 after the massacre he committed just recently, he knew he was on the sa level as a Death Stage cultivator.
Of course, that doesn't an that if he ets a Death Stage warrior, he can misbehave. However, for a Heavenly Ascension Stage warrior to possess that much strength, it was only normal to say he is a monster among monsters.
Now, he is moving closer to the level of a Root Immortal. With a single level up, he had made so much progress.
If he happens to reach the rank of sothing at the Peak Root Immortal without an Immortal Qi, then even if he ets a Core Immortal with an Immortal Qi, he can face them squarely.
The only downside here is that he would have to do more than harness his blood qi, since an Immortal Qi is like a whole immortal. Luckily, with the blood runes, he can easily bridge that gap, too.
Soon, he started rising through the ranks just like how he wanted to.
By now, Kent had absorbed about 30% of the blood essence he had fard. And since he had reached Level 8, it is only a matter of ti before he reaches Level 9, which is the peak.
Eventually, he did, and that was when sothing bizarre happened. The mont the ssage appeared indicating he had reached Level 9, the remaining blood essence in the air, about 55,000, rushed into his forehead like a magnet was pulling them.
Inside his soul sea, they flooded into his first blood core, causing it to release a surge of energy. Kent could feel his strength rising by the second.
The more blood essence absorbed into his core, the stronger he felt. Naturally, that shouldn't be possible considering he had already reached the peak of a high world. However, he was getting stronger, and that wasn't stopping anyti soon.
Eventually, the last of the blood essence was absorbed; however, the core hadn't saturated, leaving Kent frustrated.
"If this is just the first core, then how about the second and the third up to the 9th?" Just the idea made him want to punch the cave in. He had no idea how much he would need to make all that happen.
However, now that he had reached the peak of the Heavenly Ascension Stage and all blood essence had been absorbed, what he ca there to do is done.
But that doesn't an he is leaving. His core is not yet saturated, but sothing else had taken a sudden leap, making him smile widely.
Reaching the peak of the Heavenly Ascension Stage impacted his blood runes, awakening more than he had hoped. Before he started this short seclusion, he had 55,600 blood runes; however, now it seems he had taken a huge leap.
But aside from the blood runes, his bloodline had also taken a leap. This single leap ca with so much improvent.
He had yet to form his Chaos Heart, but this level-up is enough to give him the power to go back out there and kick ass.
