"Slls like an apple." Kent sniffed the fruit. "I wonder if it would taste like one."
Obviously, Kent couldn't wait long enough to taste it. His gluttony knows no bounds. So he placed it in his mouth and bit into it, taking a rather large chunk.
"Mmmmhhh, just like an apple." He savoured the taste, letting it slowly spread through his mouth and down his stomach. He quickly added the remaining half of the fruit. In no ti, he had devoured the whole fruit. However, to his disappointnt, he only chewed for a fraction of a second since the fruit betrayed him by dissolving.
Although this is his soul sea, he expected to at least have the mont to further taste the fruit, feel the texture in his teeth and let the chewing take him to places he had never been before.
But that was cut short.
[The master could have just placed the fruit in his mouth, and it would have dissolved. No need to bite and attempt to chew.]
"Tsk," Kent said nothing but only waited for the essence in the fruit to take effect. The Tower seem to be growing stubborn lately.
Soon, however, the effect of eating the fruit happened as he expected. A green panel flashed across his vision.

Kent stared at the ssage with a calm expression for a few minutes before, like a child, he exclaid happily.
"YESSSSSS!"
He almost jumped up from sheer excitent reading the ssage before him. Obviously, what he had received was sothing he most certainly was looking forward to, even if he didn't know what would co today.
He had no idea what innate bloodline skill was contained in any of the fruits, not even Tower did, so he rely ate it and hoped for the best. However, now it seems the skill he had received is sothing he was actually thrilled to have awakened.
Naturally, his exicitent run deeper than he is letting on. He, after all, had used this innate skill before.
He had seen what the [Chaos Scale Shield] is capable of from the mories of the Chaos Dragon.
Back then, when he buried Elina and reverted to his cold, chaotic self, he ventured into the Blood System, where his ascension to beco one of the strongest people to ever appear during the Primordial Era began.
Chaos wanted to accomplish many things before leaving the Blood System.
One of those things was shedding his scale. However, to do that, he must form his Chaos Heart, which, from what he knew, would call down the first Dragon Tribulation.
Passing that tribulation would finally allow him to shed his scales and form new ones.
However, from what he learned about Dragon Tribulation, the stronger the dragon, the more dangerous their tribulation — and well, Chaos was the strongest of them, so he knew he had to prepare.
It was through preparation that he awakened the defensive skill he would use for the rest of his stay in the Blood System and for the rest of his life. That shield had broken the resolve of many tanks/brutes, and it had saved him countless tis. That shield is the Chaos Scale Shield, an innate defensive skill.

"Vague as ever, but this is what makes it fun and overpowered." Kent extended his hand, and triangular golden scales with red runes littering their surfaces appeared and began stacking themselves, forming a large shield.
His mastery is Perfection thanks to Chaos.
At first, it ford into a triangle-shaped shield. Then it reford into a square, a rectangle, a pentagon, a hexagon, and many other shapes.
It reford into any shape Kent wanted and could envision. "Flawless as ever."
The brat was super happy, and that could be seen from the way he was manipulating the scales to form crazy-shaped shields.
"Oh, the look on that mountain king's face was when his axe broke from a single attack to the Chaos Scale Shield." Kent laughed, imagining the horrified, stunned, and impressed expression that appeared on a certain mountain king's face.
When this Mountain King heard Chaos was rampaging through the Blood System, he beca pissed that soone was stealing the spotlight from him. So, with his overinflated ego, he ca challenging Chaos to a death duel, only for him to break his weapon on the first attack.
In the end, Chaos let him go. Later, they t again, but instead of challenging Chaos again, he tried to suck up to him.
Chaos, of course, had no intention of giving him any attention since he was on a mission.
"I wonder if that bastard survived the Primordial Era. It would be good to break his resolve again. Ah, what a sight that would be."
Far away in an unknown ruin, locked in a cave reinforced by a Tier 89 formation, a burly man sneezes, his expression cold... "As if my situation isn't pitiful already, so bastard out there is already plotting against ."
He turns and looks at a series of paintings on the wall, and a pale smile appears on his face. "We will et again, old friend. I hope you are still the sa as before." He grinned and added, "Ah, what a sight that would be after I shatter that shield of yours...finally"
SNEEZE
Kent also sneezed, feeling a chill run down his spine. "Tsk, I wonder which bastard is plotting against ."
He wipes the idea from his mind and continues to transform his shield instead. After he had had enough, he ford a single seal, and the scales flew and rged with his body. At once, his cloak-like armour transford into dragon armour with a stylish reddish-gold design.
"Still the most beautiful armour there is." Kent grinned.
Even if it isn't, considering the Soul Sentinel was crowned as the one with the most beautiful armour in the universe, as long as it makes him happy, the Chaos Dragon has the most beautiful armour.
But while he is exaggerating the beauty of his armour, looking at the armour that still feels like cotton but now has the pattern of a dragon, one can tell it is indeed beautiful and very powerful.
Kent summoned 1000 blood runes and made them rge with the armour. The mont they did, he felt like he had beco indestructible.
One thing that made the Chaos Scale Shield indestructible is the fact that he can rge the blood runes with it, creating a rather overpowered augntation.
"This also ans I can augnt Gaap with both the Chaos Scale Shield and the blood runes. There are even my dragon claws... As long as it is soul-linked to , the sky is the limit."
Kent turned and looked at the Bloodline Skill Tree, and a smile ford on his lips. "This is the best gift for my first ti plucking a fruit from you. I only ask one thing, and that is to keep blessing with overpowered skills."
[Congratulations to the master. Now, I think the master is ready for the temple masters. I, for one, would love to see this skill at play.]
"Sa here, Tower."
Kent deactivated the Chaos Scale Shield and reached for the second ripped fruit.
