"Gaap, when you said you had beco stronger, I never expected you to be this monstrous."
Gaap turned back into his demon form and grinned... "Of course, I have beco powerful. Out of the 30% power I got from the first seal, the attack only took 5%. I still have 25% left to unleash."
"Oh, that is unexpected." Kent would be lying if he said he wasn't stunned by this discovery. On the ground now, cut vertically in half, is the body of a Root Immortal with two immortal qi.
Naturally, he wasn't supposed to die that easily. Of course, compared to so monsters out there, Vhar'Zeth was pitifully weak. However, Kent expected so resistance at least.
But from the start to the end, he was cornered like a bug, unable to even land a single attack. However, Kent most certainly didn't expect just a single attack to do that much damage.
Gaap had surprised him greatly.
He rely wanted to test Gaap at his peak, only to learn he had used 5% of his power. That is shocking, and Kent is already wondering just what the 30% would be capable of.
"I only used 5%, and with enough ti, I can recover that percentage. However, to fully unleash all 30%, you would need to at least have a three-second window."
Kent nodded. Three seconds sounded like a short ti, but in a battle against an immortal, 3 seconds is very long. A lot can happen in a second, much less three seconds.
The attack he had used just now happened in less than a second, just a little over 0.5 seconds. But even so, Vhar'Zeth was able to harness both his immortal qi to form a defence that would have blocked a Void Cleave unleashed from 8 km away.
This ans Kent would have to create favourable conditions that would buy him at least 3 seconds if he wants to see how much stronger Gaap has beco.
Of course, he would think of doing that when he ets the right conditions. For now, the stronger he becos, the shorter the ti he would need to unleash more of Gaap's power.
"How long do you need to recover?" Kent asked.
"About 10 days tops. I have quite a lot of resentful souls stored away, so give ten days."
"Okay. Get to it, I have to explore this place anyway." Gaap nodded and started recovering. He wants to be useful throughout the mission, so he quickly went to work.
Kent, too, wasn't about to let go of a chance to see what he could find here.
The fla inside the region is a Primordial Fla. It is at least a high-grade Primordial Fla, so he wants to see if there is more to it than what he is seeing.
The floor master is dead, and as such, he is the new owner. That can even be confird by the ssages he had received.
[You have killed the first temple master, Vhar'Zeth]
[You have received the first temple Key.]
[Collect all five keys and beco the owner of the Void Temple.]
Things had indeed changed. During Chaos's ti, clearing the temple is just it. There were no added benefits after clearing every floor.
In fact, every temple cleared vanishes, never to be seen again.
However, now it seems he would receive the temple as a gift after clearing all five floors.
Kent welcod the change since it would benefit him. The first floor would benefit his fla cultivation, so at least that is a boon. He would see what the other floors have to offer when he gets there.
Kent walked to Vhar'Zeth's body and waved his hand, taking his core and scythe. There was also a pouch hanging from his waist, so he took it and quickly looked inside.
There are only three things inside...
"A to, Blood Essence and Talisman."
Kent reached into the pouch and pulled out the three items. There is a strange kind of energy around them that makes Kent imdiately sense that sothing is amiss.
However, since Vhar'Zeth is dead, he didn't place much focus on that and chose to see what the three things are. However, he had asures in place just in case.
'Tower, I forgot to ask, but can the temple masters on the other floors see what is happening here?'
[They did. However, the mont you obtained the first key, they all beca blind to see on this floor.]
'Good.'
If he were being spied on, he wouldn't have done anything to the to since it is a void-related technique.
Kent isn't yet affined with the void. However, he knew he would gain that affinity as he used the Jade Void Wings.
Because of that, he wouldn't want the others destroying their tos. Of course, he sohow does not think they would destroy them, since they may have this assumption that they can kill him.
Vhar'Zeth did, and now he is dead. But Void Beasts are arrogant by nature.
There is also an issue with the language. However, hearing Kent speak fluently with Vhar'Zeth made them see him as a threat.
Only a few people can speak their language, and all of them fell during the Primordial Era. So Kent is a threat, and they most certainly would not tolerate his existence.
Either way, they weren't about to bet on that.
The to has a worn-out look. It seems to be made from a stone-like material, a strange kind of energy coating it. There are so inscriptions on it in the Aelthryn runic alphabet.
"Three Step Void Prison," Kent read the na of the technique imbued into this to. Although he cannot learn it yet, the mont he is done cultivating the first form of the [Void Drive] technique to perfection, he will gain Void Affinity.
The mont he obtains that, he will be able to learn it.
He didn't know much about the technique, but he could tell it was a technique that could be used to trap others inside the void.
Although he doubted it would be very effective against Void Beasts, he knew that with enough mastery of the void, he could use it against them.
They are Void Beasts, but that doesn't an they are superior in terms of void mastery. So he can only store this away for now and wait for when he can actually use it.
"Ingrid and Arien would benefit from it, too. They both have an affinity for the void energy, so I guess I will share it with them when I go back."
Kent paused from examining the remaining two items and let his mind wander to the thought of his wives. It's been a while since he saw them. He is aware they are now inside the Planet Killer Dungeon.
However, instead of heading to the 5th floor, they decided to look around the 4th floor so more. Later, Unity found sothing that brought back past mories, causing her to enter a trance-like state.
So they chose to wait for her there, and so for the past month, they had been staying there.
"I wonder if they are now ready to challenge the 5th floor."
After a few more thoughts, he focused back on the two items he retrieved from Vhar'Zeth's storage pouch.
